Same situation with me. I posted a few screenshots of I01 of Dreadsky Isles, got invited shortly thereafter.

The thing is, we needed people to fill areas that had been dropped by previous participants or just outdated because of how long ago they were made, so a few people were chosen based on how much potential they seemed to have to make a cool area. Xhen was on the list because he had cool screenshots. Sketch, Rock, and Tikaro as well, though admittedly the latter two have released at least one map.
Don't be offended if you might feel like you were chosen over someone else, because you weren't. We had a small number of spots that needed to be filled, with lots of new members of the community to choose from. If there's ever a Project #3 (estimated release: Q3 2023,) then everyone else who's feeling left out now will have more than a good chance of getting in.
I feel like I owe you (every member on the "Titan Revolt" build team) an apology. I feel really stupid now for getting offended, but I do understand that probably the main reason I didn't get picked was because the aesthetics stuff that I posted showed area's that I made pretty long ago, and even now after I made the map (and changed quite a lot of the aesthetics) my aesthetics are only what I believe is called "sub-par". So basically, I'm really sorry.
And I may and may not do a super long post about something later this day or tomorrow....
The style of of the map involves mimicking some of Minecraft beta's gameplay; I was just thinking about how far of an extent I should go to doing that. I wasn't sure whether removing sprinting would add to the challenge or just be a nuisance.
At first, I would imagine this as an annoyance to deal with as many of us player have gotten used to sprinting. I do see how this would add a challenge. Though, I'm curious at how you figured out to disable sprinting. I'm assuming you want it to be a secret to everybody?

Give everyone sprinting a slowness effect I'd say. There's a stat measuring it
Why so much hate on me? The fact that I'm new doesn't mean I'm not good.I'm sad and disappointed. Meh.
I at least didn't mean that! I don't hate you Goomoose! It definitely doesn't mean that you aren't good because your new, it just surprised everyone because it was expected that at least people that have fully released a CTM will get picked, or older members of the community. Also it's just that in general, usually the younger one won't be as good as the older one (no offense of course, just implying logic that you're an exception to here :P).
Wow, lots of names I was hoping to see in a Pantheon sequel, and a couple I haven't seen in a while (MistahGrinch? Of Survivalist's Haven? That's old-school.) How long has this map been in development? And based on the August release target, I take it the testing's been going on for a while too.
I have three questions for Fangride:
1) Will this map be similar to Pantheon in terms of size and gameplay progression? I expect it will be based on the area Rock was building, which seemed pretty massive.
2) How much "creative control" are you doing with this one compared to the first map? I know Pantheon was a bit disparate in terms of areas and themes, so will this one be more tightly woven with the story and the like?
3) The Curator?
You're getting Tom Baker to cameo?
Oh, and hello everyone I guess. Long time lurker, I posted for a very short time a while ago, and I look forward to what you guys are offering map-wise.
Wait... Fang, how come i wasn't re-invited to the re-attempt for a Pantheon sequel? I was there originally, and I wasn't a contributor to its failure :/ I made an area for it, but it stalled because of others' laziness. I have a few amazing builds I have saved for another Survival Games map, which I could alter slightly for a contributing area!

1. It's going to be fairly large, but... we're actually aiming for an easier map, or at least more LP friendly. It'll still be a challenge, and fairly brutal, but not quite to the extent of Pantheon.
2. We gave the creators the theme and said "make stuff", so they did. Everyone's been doing fantastically! Lots of control from them, though by release, it's likely I'll have made some edits to stuff just to help make them flow.
I am new here, so (if you can) if someone could possibly summarize everything that happened around here... that would be awesome. If you can't, don't worry about, I'll just start reading through 878 pages of CTM, I won't mind too much
Mainly so I know what not to comment on (I don't want to cause arguments...), inside jokes, ETC.
Of course you're The Curator It says it right in the announcement, so I don't doubt you. Perhaps he was you, and you are him. Or perhaps it doesn't matter either way. Who knows.
Too much? :
Anyway, to another point: How would you guys feel about a CTM that incorporates a bit of a puzzle element into each area? One idea I had for an area was to give players something like my avatar as a map, and when people solve it, it tells them a safe path across the dungeon that won't being them into something nasty. If not as a full map, I have been kicking it around in my head as a possible Brown Wool idea. I thought it might be a little gimmicky, especially in light of recent discussion, but it could be entertaining.

That sounds like a really cool idea. You probably should not do it for the whole map, but you definetly could use it in a couple of areas.

Thanks again, Fang!

Saw it already. Made me wonder why does the server doesn't include security plugins or not make the players spawn in creative mode.
Or probably the government doesn't know how to install plugins...
I thought it was a downloadable map and not a server...

You call that wall of text? Have you seen last 10 pages?

Indeed.
