Things that still need to be added to this area: Structures, at least one more bridge, light, a couple more staircases, a way into the next half of the area
Friendly reminder this area is supposed to look artificial.
Did something like that 1.5-2 years ago, I just misplaced the save with a OS re-installation. I'm jealous though, your area is much better even in its earlier stages (In my defense, I was starting out).
Might have to borrow the artificial area theme from you though for my map, if that's okay with you.

What do you guys think of a classic CTM map, but with adventure mode mixed with keep inventory?
You could still break/place, its just that i would have to set the tools to break most blocks, and the blocks to be placeable on most blocks.
I was wanting to create a new map that mixes adventure mode with the classical CTM experience, and i wanted it to be fun rather than challenging. Hence the keep inventory being on.
The adventure mode would limit what the players can break, so that i can more easily limit the places they can go, but it wouldn't be an inconvenience to the player.
I don't want to start the map then realize halfway in that this won't work, so i was wondering if you all knew of any reasons why this couldn't/shouldn't be done.

Why, exactly, do you want adventure mode? It's already pretty easy to limit the places where players can go; what does adventure mode allow that you can't do already? If you do it like you're thinking, the player can pretty much never use any tools they create themselves. Also, you have to add a lot of tags to items and blocks to allow players to use/place them; it would be pretty tough, and for not nearly enough reward.

Hey there guys. It is WIP WIP WIP: (Hanging Gardens too)
Advices, help and suggestions are welcome.
I really like the layout of the area, it seems to be very well designed. I'm not really getting the "garden" feel though. Maybe add a few trees, and when I say a few, I mean ALL THE TREES IN THE UNIVERSE! Maybe put a bunch of flowers around and have hanging leaves from the ceiling.
@Apollo9898 Thanks men. Yes, the first thing I'm practicing it is the natural terraforming and the global aesthetics.
@Chipmunk46 Yes, my process of making areas is as follows: 1 Terraform, 2 Block variation, 3 Fluids, 4 Structures and 5 Plants. Right now I'm building, then I plant them xD
I can't see anything in the pics so I'm downloading to see what's what
lol I get it. Seriously though I can't find the legit wool box. So many vines!
You might be playing the map a bit wrong their bruv
I made a thing guys

Looks amazing!

I have other reasons, i just can't remember them.
EDIT: ah yes, puzzle elements, slight changes to player progression. Thats all i remember thinking of atm.

The bottom of the islands just seem kinda... blocky. The rest looks great though
Made a thread for the mini map I'm making here!!
Sylf it looks amazing. I especially like the snow area
It's just that below the islands there's only 1 layer of blocks. Maybe round the bottom of each islands
@ViCABO: looking good man! I like it. Show us again when you're done filling the area
@Sylf_: Great One more thread to follow
Guys, any thoughts on this ? It's the very end of an area (no idea which one yet and still WIP).
The blocks of the buildings are just those I'm building with; they normally have to be changed.
EDIT: I just edited the picture; I added the water falls coming all the way down from the surface...
