Woah, now those look like some fantastic areas. Looks like we've got another Heliceo in-the-making here! How much more on the map do you have left to work on? (I'm already starting to get hyped up about it )
Wait... Fang, how come i wasn't re-invited to the re-attempt for a Pantheon sequel? I was there originally, and I wasn't a contributor to its failure :/ I made an area for it, but it stalled because of others' laziness. I have a few amazing builds I have saved for another Survival Games map, which I could alter slightly for a contributing area!
Try not to feel too bad about it - no one from the first map was re-invited.
I do also wish you didn't declare Pantheon a failure - it did go through development hell and has difficulty curve issues, but that doesn't make it an outright failure.
EDIT: Hybran messaged me. Whoops, you can disregard the lot.
Oki ... Updated my Super Charged Caverns post and there are now photos. Would like feedback... This is my first map and I think it turned out well... Map isn't complete but the first intersection is. Oh and this map is my first attempt, there was no practice rounds before it like some of my friends maps.

Hello, I'm the creator of the Super Charged Caverns, a CTM Map
I think I'll try playing ctm with my girlfriend sometimes... IF I HAD ONE!!!
Anyway, welcome! I think soupbob will show you the rules in a few hours (probably) and I love the screenshots already. It kinda reminds me of RC2 for some reason.

You can play with a buddy instead of playing with your girlfriend...

Every bloody CTM map series boasts that it's bigger, longer, and harder than other CTM series. It's almost as if it's a **** measuring contest. (bigger, longer, harder...)
This is my first post here but i followed the thread past few weeks.
I'm french so sorry if my english isn't that well, i'm waiting by the way the disclaimer of soupbob for the newbies
I have played many ctm since Vechs first maps and i decided to create my own full-scale little piece of paradi-rage.
I was familiar with mcedit, not so much with all the mechanics behind the scene but with some advices from heliceo,( thanks to him ) i catched up a bit.
So 3 month and nearly 600 hours on work after, i have made 9 areas more or less finished. The explaination to the tremendous number of hours is that i worked day and night non stop the first weeks on the map, i' m almost sleepless xD
My girl helps me sometimes for my map since i converted her to ctm ( we have played together on a few maps, "RC2" and "Monstrosity" amongst others). Playing ctm as a couple is pure fun ^^
I intend to open a thread for the map in the coming weeks to inform on the progress of the map and post the screenshots, in the meanwhile i leave you with the interesting part of the post
Those three pics comes from two areas of IT1, i'm still working on these and the screens are a bit outdated but it gives a first idea of my work...

We need more lurkers like you.
Those screenshots look fantastic, you've definitely got a good style going. I'd like to see how you do with areas that don't follow vanilla Minecraft's regular color palette. By that, I'm referring to the fact that you've mostly got greens, browns, and grays in those screenshots, with some mushroom colors mixed in along with wooden structures. One or two areas like that look fine, but a whole map built like that would be less than ideal. Since you said you've made 9 areas, I'm going to assume at least some of them differ from those colors, and if so I'd love to see them.
Hey all, just a quick update on SRION, it's almost done. I did what I call a "redstone test". I went through the map and tested all the redstone contraptions, bosses, etc and took about a page of notes on balances and tweaks. I'm about halfway done with addressing the notes. I'll finish the redstone test then clean up my circuit markers then the map will be ready for a full beta test.
This triggered a question though: What is your process for beta testing? Do you do limited beta test release? Skip the beta test and just put it out there?
My excuse it's not done yet.
I think i'd be done if I wasn't so sick this last week. I have been trying to get better ASAP too since my wife is going to have our 2nd kiddo any day now!

I post lots of #Srion dev updates and other MC stuff on twitter.@RedWingHamstorm
Thoughts on an invulnerable supercharged creeper named Sparkles that has a 26 minute fuse so you can have him as a creeper repellant/companion? (Creepers run away from him when he's trying to explode in snapshot). The only problems I see with him is that if you afk for ~26.666 minutes while standing next to him he'll go boom... also if you light him with flint/steel he'll be immobilized and inevitably explode eventually (~26.666 minutes = 32000 ticks, max fuse for creepers methinks).

Thats a really good idea, though in an actual CTM it would be more rewarding if you have un-tamed ocelots and the player had to grind for fishies.
This is the first intersection of my map and the last picture is of Intersection 2. Keep in mind that these areas are not complete, they need buildings and objects to help fill in the gaps and open areas in the caverns. This is my very first attempt at making a map (and of course I chose to make a full-sized CTM), so feedback would be very appreciated.
EDIT: Areas are meant to look like a giant mess, but thats for I1 only

Wow nice, I'm impressed. But eh.... 600 hours of work? holy crap

If you were looking to make a mess you succeeded. I'm sorry, but you can improve a lot if you choose less contrasting blocks...

He'd be invulnerable, so you'd HAVE to either explode him or push him into void. It makes for a hilarious introduction when the player is scared out of his mind and doesn't know what to do (a book would be in a chest explaining him nearby).
@R3DWING: grats on the baby, and good luck with the beta testing. If you do pick testers, pick me please. Also if I were you I would either selected a limited amount of people or not do beta testing at all.
@Sekh: Wow, that looks nice, I won't tell u it because you seem experienced enough, good luck.

I was pretty dumb and started beta when I finished. So now I'm stuck waiting. W/e, need to wait on 1.8 anyway.

add smooth slabs to the bottom half in a nice pattern, should fix your problems
ooooooh maaaah gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh
so good
Seriously I love your build style, and I hope you have gameplay skills to match because if you do your map is gonna be pretty freakin' swish

Actually, you got it right! I wanted a mess with the first intersection. But worry not, the next areas are blocks that aren't so contrasting.
Yeah. Or you can kill him too...

Cats are about as reliable for creeper repellant as spraying your monitor with RAID bug spray.
