Just noticed a spelling error in sea of flames II dungeon 2. The part after the sign about joe hills.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Every bloody CTM map series boasts that it's bigger, longer, and harder than other CTM series. It's almost as if it's a **** measuring contest. (bigger, longer, harder...)
Hey there everyone! I would like to give a final update before the videos get released (we finally started recording!) :
Still revising the Sea of Flame walkthrough, but I won't finish it until the video gets released.
I'm having a few problems with the horizontal ruler (what's the deal with that?) Here it is:
I'll be playing the LP series with Pieluvr, in case you didn't know.
That's about it, I'll see you soon! If you want to chat with me, you can go on the ParadoxMC server, or contributors can connect to my hamachi network by PM.
Wish I live somewhere near Matt_minouf. Since our time difference is 12 hours , the video frequency would probably be a week.
I think sea of flames would be done even before we are half-way through the map.

Pretty sure it will, I even started recording the video walkthrough :/
It should get released by next week if I don't buy Adobe Premiere by then.
Hey guys! Just telling you I finally uploaded the first video. I know I may be a bit difficult to understand because of my accent, and the fps is a little low, but I'm trying my best with my laptop. Tell me what you think!
This guide is really good so far! I can't wait to read the rest of them, especially Kaizo Caverns (I've already beat the map but it was incredibly fun).

Thanks, I'll be making a poll for which map I should do after Infernal Sky, I'll make sure it's in the list.
One thing that I think may be useful -- a progress tab in the first post indicating the progress in guides. I understand that Sea of Flames is done (or almost) and you're working on the others, but I think those links to other maps should be de-linked or have some text, e.g. (NOT STARTED) to indicate that it's not a complete product.
I'm currently playing SoF II right now and am reading your wool guides right after I obtain each, so I can see how my strategy compares with what you wrote.

Wow, I definitively add you to the regular contributor list; that's going to be extra helpful. Thank you very much!
I'll add the progress tab too, I was thinking of adding one but the thread wasn't developped enough at the time.

Remember, you don't have to play the dungeons in order.

You're correct. And I'm not, I'm just going with the order that just seems more natural to me.
Also, this is the first time I'm playing SoF (I or II) but I've already beaten Sunburn Islands, Kaizo Caverns, Spellbound Caves, Infernal Sky 2, and Lethamyr, so I wouldn't consider myself new to the series.
Uploading another episode of Sea of Flame II tomorrow.
I'll be making a "super hostile guide team/staff", which constitutes of dedicated contributors. All regular contributors are elligible to join, just ask! They'll have the same task they currently do, but there are limited positions.
To apply for the staff, you'll need to be a regular contributor (helping regularly with the thread). You need to be devoted and be asked at any time for help.
What do these staff positions do? Field TesterSimilar to a Tips & Techniques Developper, they test around the guide's tips, techniques, and revelations of secrets by testing them in the real maps. Afterwards, they suggest some improvements on them, and they can also submit their own techniques, tips, and findings.[/anchor] (2/3 slots) Tips & Techniques DevelopperSimilar to a Field Tester, they try different options in the maps with their own techniques they developped and can then submit their own techniques, tips, and findings.[/anchor] (1/3 slots) Graphical SupportThey create graphics for the SHG, but these must be assigned by the creator of the SHG. They can also submit their creations if they want, but they may or may not be implemented.[/anchor] (0/1 slots)
Note: These are not limitations to how you contribute to the guide, but a way to regularly give support and gain full credit. Each staff member has an icon posted on the item which identifies the staff member.
I'd quite like to be either a 'field tester' or 'tip and technique developer', but could you elaborate a bit more on what these mean?
Sure, I didn't have time yesterday to elaborate on them. I'm doing that right now.
EDIT: For some reason I can't copy the link to the post, so I hope that's fixed soon.
Yes, I was thinking or making an LP with anyone who wants, I'll just have to finish the one first with Pieluvr though.
I have a feeling you would play co op on kazio caverns.

There's a few of them through the guide; I'm still revising it.
Thanks for noticing that.

Yay!
I'm sure that the guide will help you!

I've added a subscription to this topic.
Here are the devoted members of the Super Hostile guide, give them a big +1rep for helping with this!

UPDATE: Done.
Accepted. Added. Or whatever.
