THE PLAGUE - A Minecraft Horror Map ---Map Review [/header]
Greeting all. Another map review from me, the Map Killer.
If you don't know what my kind of review mean, then here it is:
1) I provide HONEST reviews of any/all maps. Totally honest content review, no B.S.
2) I rate the map on many points of interest that impacts players
3) I analyze it for what it is, giving you (the MC players) what you TRULY need: content quality.
So...let's get to it.
The Plague - A Minecraft Horror Map is (in essence) a horror map in its own rites. You, the player, are introduced to the base concept of the map, being given only what information that you need to get started. As you proceed through the map, you are immersed into the feel of the map right away (a real bonus).
The Breakdown------
Pros:
1) I LOVE the heartbeat system used here. It's a subtle way to build atmosphere without having to burn too much time building it. Good work.
2) The usage of player models in the map are TOP NOTCH. Far too many creators under estimate this feature can have to their advantage.
3) Game-play time. For a first installment, the completion time is right on; just enough time to get players into the map's feeling to want another installment.
Cons:
1) This is a prison build. The generic build feels lacking. I would encourage the creators to invest time into learning the subtle art of advanced block placement. Look it up on YouTube. Their are TONS of tutorial videos to give you tips on adding variance to the build to give it an authentic feeling. The prison/dungeon you have going would benefit greatly with a more decrepit look (considering the map genre)
2) English. I would recommend a spell checker. There were many errors. Spelling errors tend to break the immersion of the player from your intended atmosphere. Take time to fix these to improve the atmospheric integrity.
3)Title text. You lost a lot of words in the title overlay text. I didn't even get you see the map creator's name as it was cut off.
4) Resource management. I ended off the map with over 40 flint. I would recommend cutting down on what you provide. It forced the player to be FAR more considerate in HOW they use what they are given. It also breaks the overall map feeling when it's lit up to hell.
5)Atmosphere. You have a really great base here. I would suggest adding more triggered sounds. Throwing random sounds at a player increases their tension (which is what you want)
6) Jump scares. My Dudes, your jump scares were predictable. After the first scare I knew when they next ones were situated. Your build style was far too obvious, giving me PLENTY tells when it would hit me. You should hide it more. Add in false positive triggers to throw off the players so they have more anxiousness when approaching the next potential areas.
The final verdict:
7 Gold Blocks
You have something really good here that can REALLY get into player's heads, just with some improvement. I like the map. I think that your skills will improve in time and effort. I look forward to what comes next.
(rating scale is as follows:
1-10 iron blocks = early stage map with much improvements needed
1-10 gold blocks = mid-range quality map with good content quality that can be perfected
1-10 diamond blocks = quality made map; the REAL goods
1-10 emerald blocks = Highest quality map, in build, mechanics, and play.)
I had an issue with the file and that is i got the Plague Map and it only came with the .rar file and no folder. I created a folder and ran the game and came to find out that there are missing files to the Plague Map. I am missing a folder with the rest of the files for the map in it.

Another Amazing Looking Map!
I didn't play through it yet because i wanted to ask if i could record this for my channel, is that okay with you? If it is What are your rules and regulations concerning YouTube and Rights?
There are only three rules:
1st rule: Give the credits to the creator (me, of course)
2nd rule: Put the Link for the map in the description
3rd rule: Have fun
That's all you need to know if you're going to record any of my maps.
Also, Give me the link for the video, so i can watch it...
I understand and Thank You for permission. Also i will make sure to give you the link once the video is released.

Map Killed
I'm not sure if posting this here is good or not.
I had an issue with the file and that is i got the Plague Map and it only came with the .rar file and no folder. I created a folder and ran the game and came to find out that there are missing files to the Plague Map. I am missing a folder with the rest of the files for the map in it.
I'll see what I can do about it...
Good review... It helped me a lot. I'm going to release an SCP map for Minecraft 1.14, and I want you to review it... Could you do it?
I'd be happy to!
I will absolutely review that map. Just send me a pm when it's up.
