About:
You don't know who you are, what happened, or where you are. Nothing is real, or is everything real? Imprisoned, yet not alone for within these walls They watch. These walls themselves move. Nothing makes sense. Can you escape imprisonment?
Or better yet.....
Will it let you?
Imprisonment is a new Minecraft horror map. I am not a texture creator, nor do I know how to add sounds, or special things to a Minecraft map. I am very good at redstone. Everything that will be in this map, will be done by alot of redstone work. When finished a link will be here for you to find it. In the meantime, progress pics, previews, and info on the map will be posted.
I have no problem with you filming yourself playing, I just ask for one thing in advance:
Send me a link of your experience! I would love to see how you did!
Enjoy!
Secrets (after the map is played):
(This tab does not reveal any secrets for the endings. It just reveals minor details that you may have missed.)
Secret 1: All leather armor stands resemble mannequins.
Secret 2: Every mannequin doesn't have a head. This resembles you having a head injury. The only one that does have a head is the purple suit.
Secret 3: The prison is not a normal place. A hint to what the prison is, can be seen through the double doors after the court room. The prison is a dark form of the afterlife.
Secret 4: The purple suit that belonged to your wife appears one other time besides in Storage room 127, and the dark room. It appears in the hallway after you get Twitchy's key. Since the prison is a from of the afterlife, your wife is there with you, and she isn't happy. She can be seen on top of the chest after the creeper spawns. It's a resemblance that she sent the creeper after you, and watched.
Secret 5: The answer to who Joe is, can be figured out. It's hidden throughout the map. The only hint I can give, is he is part of the secrets that reveal the ending.
Secret 6: Joe mentions They, but you never see them? You do, once. They appear behind you as dark clouds. Or in other words, Blazes hit with invisibility.
Just had a HUGE chunk of the map done yesterday. The only thing I don't like so far is the piston sounds. Can't seem to shut them off. either way, coming out awesome. Can't wait for you guys to play it!
Noice! I am working on it when I can. I am a youtuber and a Highschooler, and a Bagger at WD. So I am constantly doing stuff. Got another chunk done yesterday. More pics coming soon!
Made alot more progress on the map yesterday! It's going to be a good one. I am not good at textures, so there won't be a custom texture pack. However I am all about story and secrets, and finding hidden details. There is alot going into this map. For a Minecraft map, this will seem like a video game.
Hi guys! Working on this Minecraft map. So a an update, I have alot of stuff layed out and ready to build. I have alot of redstone going into this map. I'm not going to tell you why, but I will say is this: be sure to grab all secrets. You will find out why soon!
What's up everyone! So I am making alot of progress. I am the type that comes up with more stuff to d once I start something. So there is alot left to do, BUT it's going to be awesome. I don't want to give anymore pics because I am worried I will spoil something. I will say is this....
Find all secrets, only than will you know the truth.
What do you guys think this means? I know, but do you?
The mystery begins....what is in Storage locker 127?
Update:
There is a few major parts to build in this map. One of them is done. The redstone and those last few structures are going to be hardest and longest to create. Sorry for the wait guys. Atleast you get epic questions and images to see how it's coming out.
Almost there guys! I have two more big structures to make, redstone stuff, and minor little tweaks and things to add. A few more weeks. I am hoping before March. Who's excited!?
Sorry for the map not being completed yet. I had alot to get done toward the end of the March, but I haven't forgotten about it. I just made one of the puzzles for it, and it is awesome! So excited to see what you guys think of this map. Again, sorry for the wait.
Hey guys! Another quick update!
This map is taking FOR-EV-ER to finish. It's mainly at this point alot of redstone work. I still have one last major structure, a few mini ones, and redstone stuff. After that I will have a few play testers play it and test it out fix all the kinks little things, and it will be posted. I AM working on it. It's just taking a while between work, my youtube channel, and school. I don't plan on giving you guys another update until it's finished. So be aware, the next time I update this thread, the map will be done.
It's finished! Ladies and gentlemen the map is DONE!!! It is being uploaded to Minecraft Maps pretty soon. I already submitted it, and had a few people play test it. They all gave it 5 star ratings. Who's ready!? I link will be above as soon as it is posted!
I'm going to rattle off thoughts and report minor typos and such as I play through the map.
First thing I noticed is Joe's dialogue is way too fast. The command blocks need more repeaters between them.
An extra detail that'd be handy is positioning armour stands in the cells in the way they're described.
The back left cell is missing a period in the description.
The two title texts need combined into one tripwire hook. I triggered the first one and then stopped to read it, which then made the small title of the second tripwire not appear.
The cell area after the blazes is where I suppose the lever goes says, "Message goes here" if you place the lever where the button should be. Not sure if forgotten or Easter egg for idiots like me who break the map to improve it. Right cell #1 is also missing a period.
Both fourth cells are missing a period.
Not a fan of brick walls behind doors that can't be opened. Even a tiny room behind them is better than WALL.
I missed parts of the hospital because I clicked the button by the janitor's closet. I flew back and found the book that told me to.
Why is there an iron door in the men's right most toilet?
I can see the command block inside the offline elevator. Not a big deal, but there it is.
Inside the foam skull room is a hole to the sky.
The armour stand maze was definitely different. Never seen that before.
Named storage containers are very underutilized. Glad the janitor knows what's up.
Freaking...torcher chambers. That dang pun. You win. I hope that wasn't a typo.
Again, dialogue is too fast.
Another iron door in the costume shop's toilets.
I don't know what I did in the costume shop, but it never teleported me to the next scene after I got into the back room. Maybe I'm an idiot.
Two tripwire hooks in the women's bathroom's sink on the first floor.
Elevator still not working is missing a period.
And then I lost. What? Why? I get that it was a bad ending, but that's how it ends there? What branching path did I miss?
Apparently a lot of them.
Can't figure out how to open the murder document door...at all.
Finally found the damaged key...inside of a container I had previously looked in and assumed was already cleared. Does that open it? Where's that go?
Beats me, apparently all I found was the very last secret, despite backtracking and thinking I should've gotten at least three or four. Don't know, I need a guide.
I don't know how to rate it. A lot is easily missed and can break some of the story (such as me running back through and completely missing Joe on purpose, yet letting telling him you know about the torturing, which you can also mostly skip).
Thank you for all this! Wasn't sure how to get the janitors stuff to work. I figured people would search every nook and cranny before trying to stairs. I will go through and fix some of these things. As far as brick wall behind doors. Sometimes I used a black block because having a room there wouldn't make sense. Also, the secrets. Yes, the key inside the container: you're coming back. So it's possible for things to be different, and that key goes to the door with the murder document. I didn't know how fast to make the dialogue in the costume shop, so when you turn the lever off, it teleport's you. I'll look at the rest of this and see what I can do.
As far as the secrets There is a total of six. I figured the first time around, you would play and the second time around would be when you find all the secrets. That's what alot of people do. In fact this map is inspired by Silent Hill 4: The Room where you revisited the same 3 areas and had to do different things to unlock the secrets. DM me what secrets you found. I'll tell you which one is missing. What ending did you get?
One last thing, the iron door in the droppers in the bathrooms, I couldn't find a thin wall. They are the walls separating the urinals.
Also, the secrets. Yes, the key inside the container: you're coming back. So it's possible for things to be different, and that key goes to the door with the murder document.
My problem is that there is no indication whatsoever that anything in that room had changed, and the key is essentially in a random location as far as relation to where it goes is concerned. Anything being changed in the room--even if it's unrelated to the location of the key itself--would make players think to look again.
I didn't know how fast to make the dialogue in the costume shop,
Just slow it all down in general.
so when you turn the lever off, it teleport's you.
Don't do that. If a lever is flicked, it should do everything that it needs to. People will assume that once the light comes on and the dialogue plays, that's all the lever does, and then they'll proceed to go back and look for another passage opened somewhere.
As far as the secrets There is a total of six. I figured the first time around, you would play and the second time around would be when you find all the secrets. That's what alot of people do.
Not me, but that's just me. Also, there is no replay here without making a new copy of the map. Replaying the game without remaking it wouldn't be hard. A lot can be fixed by not having all the dialogue set up with regular pistons. Hook it up to a line of repeaters. The secrets wiring doesn't need to go all over the place like it does; A simple command setting a redstone block to trigger one of the pistons would do.
Something like /setblock 100 40 100 redstone_block, have a repeater coming out of that command block, then run into another with /setblock 100 40 100 air. This would summon a redstone block and then delete it, but it'd be there long enough to trigger the piston to push the gravel.
What ending did you get?
I apparently missed everything, despite me thinking I should've gotten at least 3/5 gravels pushed. I've seen what all goes where and does what, so no need.
One last thing, the iron door in the droppers in the bathrooms, I couldn't find a thin wall. They are the walls separating the urinals.
Like, the one sitting inside of them and not between them?
