I've been playing this a bit recently, and I think a useful feature would be a way to "zoom out" and "hover" from a central point above the battlefield, that way you could see (almost) everything that is going on.

That's a good idea! It might be a bit hard to implement on some levels, though (like Sandbox, Caves or Ocean), but I will think about adding it in the other levels.

Multiplayer is supported. There is actually a multiplayer only PvP Minigame in the lobby and there are also some functions that handle players joining & leaving. I've actually also submitted this map to realms.
The name of the map has also been changed to Mirage Tower Defense (we did this because we also finally got a team name (Mirage Maps) and Mirage Tower Defense is fairer to anyone who worked on it than McTsts' Tower Defense)

When automatically selling towers, because of invalid tower placement, the second tower would sell itself and the entity of the first tower, but the first tower would be too far away from the second entity, hence leaving some weird mess. (3x3 of blocks of the tower, but no slab + tower + entity flying 1 block above the tower))

Love your maps but I think the creeper explosion should either be removed or better telegraphed, i have no idea what tower got hit, also its just a hassle to heal every tower later on.

Try using Ocelot or Witch Towers to counter Creepers.

I assume you locked yourself in, or jumped in from the top? You can escape by going to the iron bars to lead back to the normal lobby area. There is a button close to that at the ceiling, which can temporarily open the door from the inside.
