that's true ofcourse but I don't really use subtitles. Anyway, here's the video, hope you like it if description misses something let me know and i'll adjust it
I keep having issues with the map not working correctly after saving and exiting. The next time I go into the ma and go through the portal to the loading room, the game just stalls there. I've sat there waiting for 20 minutes in which nothing happens.
I tried playing on a new map again after deleting/redownloading and this happened:
I had died on Lion after falling into the lava thanks to the fight being incredibly
laggy, respawned, then logged out. Logged back in to play later and the screenshot below is all that happens. I respawn and it immediately kills me and starts looping through the various bosses I've unlocked, with the music glitching out and randomly starting and stopping.
Suggestions? I really enjoyed the map...But really don't have the time to go through everything in one sitting. Especially when I go down on Lion thanks to irritating lag that makes the jumps nigh impossible.
Sorry you're having issues with the map. The error occurs when the map is trying to generate new sections of a dungeon when a player dies. As a potential fix, do:
/scoreboard players set progress Information -2
Then die anywhere in the game, and that should reset your progress, fixing the bug. Running boss practice from the back of Freddie's shop might also be a potential fix.
If this doesn't work then please let us know. As for the lion lava bug, all i can suggest is giving yourself a long fire resistance potion throughout this section of the fight, as the lava/fire is the most likely cause of lag death.
Since you liked my last one, here's another review: SPOILER ALERT (kind of)
It's a nice map, similar to True Labyrinth, but more polished. The classes are nice and add replay value, and I do like that you have to unlock them. While it's random nature means that you will often run into repetitive rooms, there is a huge variety and I'm still finding new rooms four playthroughs in. Multiplayer is fun too and makes all that extra loot more useful. The bosses are unique for Minecraft and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the first two.
I did have a few problems with it, however. The level-generation shops are practically useless once you've purchased some luck; I only use them to stock up on potions early on. While I got a smooth framerate, everything was moving in slow motion, especially when the custom music was starting. The story provided by the cutscenes is great, but overall, I don't really get why this whole thing is happening. I haven't played all the storylines, just Joel's and half of the Shieldbearer's (I think her name was Kyanta?), but I'm hoping I find out something better than just "ghosts decided to invade." The third boss, while challenging, is a bit underwhelming; he seems rather powerless compared to the previous two. He pushes some blocks and opens the floor. Compare that to making snow fall from the sky and freezing a lake, or reanimating the dead, throwing poison, and constricting you. All the bosses are easy, but the third one is probably the easiest.
That said, none of these are huge bottlenecks to overall enjoyment of the map. You have limits, and you've managed to do wonders with them. I give this an 8/10.
Also, it looks like you use physical copies of each room to generate the dungeons, but have you looked into using structure blocks? You might be able to get better performance that way, at the very least quicker dungeon generation.
Structure blocks would be very hard to use in this instance. Unless you use /blockdata to change the coordinates for the generation(which I'm pretty sure you can't do), it's far easier to use physical versions of the rooms because you can edit them with much more ease, so if a problem comes up, you can easily just go to that room and change it.

Actually you can change the coordinates, as they are saved as NBT data and can be changed with /blockdata. The physical copies can be retained to check out bugs, but loading the rooms from structure blocks might be faster than cloning.

just uploaded my final video, hope you enjoy it
P.S. at the end you'll notice a glitch where Chronos doesn't spawn and you can't defend him.

Thanks for highlighting the bug! It's a new one for us, so I'll investigate the issue.
Hope you enjoyed the map all the same!
Is that really mediafire? Your download keeps sending me to an attack site and no map download.
If that really is Mediafire then I'm removing all my maps hosted there asap.
It is hosted on mediafire. Adf.ly sometimes opens two urls when you click the download link, so make sure you're downloading from the right one.
Got it thanks. Adfly has become really nasty, I think Adfoc is better now.
I'll investigate Adfoc as an alternative, thanks!
The adventures continue!

Well, I suppose that would work, but it's not really up to me... We'll have to wait and see what MBG says...
RogueQuest was ported from 1.9 to 1.10 very late into its development. At the time, structure blocks did not exist.
I understand. You can just keep that in mind for a sequel, if you ever plan to make one.
