F.A.Q. (READ ME BEFORE ASKING)
Q) Where is the nether fortress / end portal?
A) In the Nether at x: -86, z: 89
Q) Can I get an infinite water source?
A) Yes you can, the main island isn't the only island.
Q) Where can I get diamonds?
A) In end cities.
Q) How can I get ___? A) Look it up on google! There are many places that tell you how to get specific items in Skyblock.
Nice! is gravel and red sand avaliable? now that sand generators are back and we have acsess to the end portal, it would be useful to be able to obtain these things for building. if not, only one of each would be needed.

Yes, red sand is available! You can find it when you dig the dirt of your platfor. However, gravel isn't. I also saw that you also made a Skyblock 3.0 map... Oops? Well, looking at your post it doesn't seem you mind me making a Skyblock 3 map.
Anyways, the map right now isn't 100% finished. I do want to give the player infinite nether quartz, which would be hard since the only way to get it is via mining the ore.
I think you should use costumized drop tables for things like gravel and quartz. Low chance on player kill from say zombies and blazes respectively.
Thanks so much for this idea! After a bit of work, I managed to implement it with only 8 command blocks, where only 6 are active all the time. I'll probably update the map tomorrow. The current setup is that when a mob gets hurt (because targeting naturally spawned dead mobs is impossible) there will be a 1/20 chance of dropping. This should result in getting the item once per two mobs or so (with fists, so using better damaging tools will get you even less items). This does mean that by instant killing the mobs you wont get any items at all.
Since 1.9 custom loottables can be made without any command blocks at all. I will look at that later this week.
Oh wow, I didn't know that. I got it working. There is now 1/2 chance of dropping when a player kills them. I'll release a new version in a few minutes
You should spawn on it. And if you're referring to the sand island then yes that is not in this map. Skyblock 1.1 didn't have it and this map is based off 1.1
I think my biggest complaint is that it's based off the newer Skyblock (is it the multiplayer?), and not the original single player map. I miss the floating sand (forcing an expansion of sorts), and the constant vigil needed to keep your water from freezing. I feel like it should snow, being up there in the sky all alone. Plus, snowmen. And snowballs. That's just me. Maybe I like snow.
However, very nice job in keeping it simple and true. I LOVE that you also hit on those key things missing from the original, namely the End, soulsand and nether wart, and even gravel and quartz drops! This is definitely the Skyblock spirit I love. Simple, challenging, and fun. Players like me might desire a little more challenge (gotta catch that sand!), but Kudos! I downloaded and will be playing through on this one, and I've seen very nice attempts from others that I just couldn't play because they "broke" a key part of the game for me. Skyblock is about pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps, knowing the details of game mechanics, and making a world from nothing. Good job, and Thank You!
Possible Recommendations :
(these are mostly personal, but would make it the perfect Skyblock map for me):
Doing exactly what you did, only with the very original map (floating sand island and snow biome) would be BOSS.
Making sure there are essential biomes somewhere on the map for the possibility of spawning certain mobs (i:e taiga for wolves, swamp for slime)
You could designate some of these areas with something from that biome? (mushroom biome with a block of mycelium, jungle with a jungle tree and some cocoa?)
You could have these far from the original spawn area to keep it challenging, but it would add a lot to the end game.

Thanks for the long post!
I couldn't notice that you said this was based off the newer Skyblock. This is completely false. In skyblock four maps were released: 1.0, 1.1, 2.0 and 2.1, with this being based off 1.1. If I remember correctly, the floating sand and the snow biome weren't added in until 2.0.
Anyways, you do make some valid points there so maybe I could base it more off 2.1 (Which is the newer version).
Hello everyone!
I loved the Skyblock maps made by Noobcrew back in the day, but there wasn't really an end, literally.
So I updated the old map with only a few tweaks:

I just realized that the overworld biome - which is the void biome - does not allow mobs to spawn naturally...
Don't worry! I hope to fix this issue soon and change the whole map to a plains biome!
EDIT:
Okay, I updated the map to version 3.01, sorry for the inconvenience!

Wow, I am so sorry! I must've saved the files in the wrong location. The new version should be available once it has been approved
Wow! I love sky blocks were you everything is possible in its own way. There are so many cool maps on this forums!
Isn't there an island??? I don't see it anywhere
You should spawn on it. And if you're referring to the sand island then yes that is not in this map. Skyblock 1.1 didn't have it and this map is based off 1.1
How are we supposed to fulfill:
16) Make 10 cactus green dye.
You get cactus and sand, grow it and then smelt in the furnace
Yes but, where is the sand?
Inside the main island
Thank for the map. Just started playing today.
Is there a way to get the other tree type other then oak,as well getting cola beans, and vine.
Yeah, you can find the other bucket in the nether
Not currently, but maybe that can be added in...
