What is SkySanity? SkySanity is an improved Minecraft Skyblock. This map has a villager that you can trade with to get resources. However, it is different than other Skyblock maps, because instead of focusing on changing Skyblock, we focus on expanding the classic skyblock experience in a simple way. Just like Skyblock, you can grind mobs, but now you can trade in their loot for resources, and eventually advance to the nether and ultimately the end. Just like regular Minecraft, in order to beat skysanity, beat the ender dragon. We also plan on adding support for other Minecraft platforms (waiting for Minecraft Bedrock Edition). VERSION 1.4 HAS BEEN RELEASED! THIS UPDATE ADDS THE PORTAL GUN! It also fixes the spawnpoint bug, you now always spawn on one block, I fixed the spawn in creative bug, and I adjusted a few trades. Here is a video on how to make the new portal gun:
*Make sure you drop the bow first.
*This is for an older version of SkySanity, Minecraft 1.12 does not support this. If you run the new version of SkySanity in 1.8 you can get portal guns, but you would be missing out on all of the things 1.12 has to offer.
Well guys, my Macbook charger broke, so I am screwed for the time being. It should be released on time, but I am having trouble getting ores to spawn in the nether. So in a few days when I get a new charger hopefully, I will continue where I left off.
Here is a run down of the modpack:
A new category of skyblock modpacks, this pack does not extend skyblock's capabilities, but adds exciting mods like Project E, BloodMagic, Tinker's Construct, EnderIO, and many others to a map that already extends skyblock's capabilities through villager trades.
Also, after the modpack is released I will be releasing another survival map based around the Mesa biome. It will also have a villager to trade with.
After the modpack, I will find time to release TNT wars map as well.

Tonight I continued the modpack, I just finished the TNT Wars map, it is on the forums, just search TNT Wars. I have decided to screw the nether ores thing, and instead there will be trading recipes for the custom ores. I have some work to do. I am hoping to be done by the 31st, but I may have to delay the release.
I would like to announce that SkySanity does work with 1.12.x.
I would also like to apologize about the modpack delay. The SkySanity modpack is still coming, but due to technical issues, it will be a few months from now and it will be in version 1.12.1. A release date will be announced sometime next month, or whenever I feel the I can announce the release date confidently. But don't worry too much, there won't be a delay in release this time, last time I had computer problems and a problem with a certain important mod.
Also there will be a small balancing update to SkySanity that will release shortly.
SkySanity has updated to 1.5, the update was bigger than I anticipated, overall I made the trades a bit more challenging, which should lengthen the experience. Out of request from someone who's name I forgot, I have added sapling trades for other trees besides oak, sand was added as well (I forgot to add a cactus trade, next update I promise.) Also, 1.8 kind of ruined skyblock by making animal spawning in explored chunks incredibly rare, so I changed the spawn egg trades for passive mobs, now you can actually get animals besides boring old pigs! That means you can craft arrows and get enchants!
Next update I would like to change the nether to have something special about it, please give me your ideas, but for now I just deleted the nether file, so the nether will be different for everyone that plays SkySanity.
Updates about the SkySanity Modpack will no longer be posted on this thread. I have created a WIP thread that will be everything SkySanity modpack until it the modpack is officially released. There you can see modpack announcements, mods list, BETA downloads (when that time comes), and the release date when I announce it. I am encouraging input about the mods on the list and suggestions about what I should add and change. The first mods list will posted later this month on that thread.
This thread is now officially about the map only, not a modpack based on the map. Any questions or comments about the pack must be on that thread and not on this one.
