I am of the opinion that a map does not need blood and gore in order to be scary. Therefore, I have created this map in honor of my friend Rexshell, whom I dearly love to prank. Cynthia is a Minecraft horror map meant to get your heart racing using a combination of environment, jumpscares, and way too many command blocks. Just kidding--you can never have too many command blocks.
It would be a dream come true if DanTDM, Ssundee or any other YouTubers were to play this map. So, if you like what I've done, I'd appreciate your letting them know about this map, and then posting here once you make a video. Thanks so much if you do!
You're driving back from visiting your grandparents in London, England. This visit was special because your grandfather gave you an emerald ring that's been in the family for generations. You're forced to take a detoured route back, and soon find yourself in the middle of nowhere at midnight with a car that won't run. There are some old ruins up the hill...
Gameplay
Singleplayer only, please!
Set to Peaceful and Adventure
Put your render distance of 5 and particles at minimal.
Gameplay is (roughly) 20 to 30 minutes.
Please do not try to kill yourself.
Read the books--I really did manage to keep them short, and they'll enhance your gameplay immensely.
If you're ever stuck, check you inventory for keys or read the books you've found for hints on what to explore next.
The resource pack is included in the save--please do not use your own resource packs.
This is a vanilla map--no mods required.
Disclaimer
Please do not hate me for any historical inaccuracies you may encounter. For example, I know that one song I used was in fact written in the 1700's, although it seems to indicate otherwise in my map. This is because I feel it adds to the story. This is a fun map, and not a history lesson. Perhaps sometime I'll make a history lesson in Minecraft. But for now, here's this.
Warning
Please do not play this map if you are prone to seizures, because there are a few jumpscares. I don't want anyone getting hurt out there. I am not responsible for any damage you may accidentally cause to yourself or to anything or anyone around you during the playing of this map.
Credits
Etow1 on PlanetMinecraft made the castle, and because of that I had the perfect setting for this map. Thanks, Etow1!
This map uses a slightly altered version of the John Smith Legacy resource pack.
Music was found on mp3take.cc.

Can you find the Easter egg?
I really did try to put the pictures in a spoiler, but my computer is currently hating me for some unknown reason.
Please feel free and be encouraged to give me feedback and criticism about this map--I'd love to hear your thoughts! And, if you're still at the end of this post reading this text, thank you so much for taking the time to check out this thread! MagicalMapmaker
