Hey guys, thanks so much for 3900 downloads! Just want to let you all know that Episode 2 is still going along smoothly! Hopefully it'll be done early to mid-January!
Hey, Beast, Jack is back and has compiled a list of observations during my run. These were all written during the run, so the grammar may be a little "eh."
Pros:
-resource pack a surprise!
-specific block placement (didn't know that) (AKA: only placing levers on Lapis blocks)
-computers!
-the little things in the resource pack
-pristine look of the rooms (more variety than previous maps)
-EX: Gray paths lead to triggered areas (and it looks nice in contrast to white)
-central hub was always my favorite place in the past, now it's even better!
-the tiny chests are back!
-wheed wacker cool and innovative (bc the leaves disappear!)
-The wrench was also unexpected (puzzle 7 is where the game really takes off)
-drowning sentence is where it really starts to get disturbing
-"Redstone stuck at top" thing is nice (different than just a reset door)
-blind level hard but intuitive (major improvement over last time this was a mechanic)
-took me a while to figure out, but barrier blocks as invisible path cool
-easter eggs nice (even though I only saw PJ's space helmet
-spectator mode nice
Cons and Bugs:
-credits for resource pack?
-first REAL puzzle broke (slimeball stuck on pressure plate, not able to reach)
-no diamond collecting (or anything similar)
-weird times where OCD is triggered (even though I don't have OCD) (AKA: blocks don't line up sometimes, not symmetrical, etc.)
-I hate puzzle Number 9 (Number 9...Number 9...Number 9...) I figured it out myself, but minimal room for error, but
this might be just a nitpick
-not sure, but minecart puzzle in Puzzle 10 might be broken by player riding cart instead of pushing it?
-fun sequence break I accidentally did: Used hi-jump to jump onto the glass instead of using the hole. I was also
going to complain about the lack of a water source, but I would have easily gotten it if I had gone through the hole
*shrug*.
-conversation about Banana's death should use "refrain" instead of "restrain." It flows nicer, unless you change it
to "restrain yourself," which also sounds better; sieg heil
-lever in chest in blind level not centered in chest (aka hard to spot)
-hi-jump breaks invisible path room in Puzzle 15
Overall, I had a lot of fun with it, and it's the best of the Puzzlemania maps. Also, the ending, while similar, still found a way to be cool (and the trap floor startled me a little!)

Hey Jack, thanks so much for the review! A lot of the problems you mentioned we can easily fix in V.1.2! As for the credits for the resource pack, I made the resource pack myself ) Hope you look forward to episode 2!
I've just released my bite-sized review of Episode 1! This is also the first episode of my new review series, so let me know what you think of the format!
As for the map, I really liked it. Nice texture pack, fun puzzle, just really solid overall
-We finally added V.1.2 which now installs the resource pack automatically! So you don't ave to worry about installing it. We also made a few minor tweaks and fixed the issue with the pressure plate in chamber 1!
-I also want to thank everyone for almost 8,000 downloads! That's an insane amount of people who clicked the download link and we couldn't be more grateful!
-We also decided it will be best to wait for V.1.9 of Minecraft to come out before we work any further on the map. 1.9 will just overall feature more commands and items we can use to help make the map stand out more from this one! So look forward to it
-And finally, a huge shoutout to CthulhuToo for his video review of our map!
That's about it. Sorry for the inactivity, we're all still getting over the holidays and distracted with gifts and games we got during them. But when 1.9 comes out, you'll see several maps be pumped out over the course of the year. So look forward to it!
After creating my review video, I've now started releasing my playthrough of the map! My viewers really wanted to see it, which I think speaks well of Kitatcho
The resource pack comes in the same download as the map file.
OMG I played Puzzlemania all the way through! I'm SOOO happy for a sequel! YESH! Thx guys! -Ender
