The easiest way would be to just delete your old save and re-download the map. Once you've downloaded the map again, place a copy in the /saves folder, and save a copy somewhere else on your computer--then if you ever want to start over again, you can just copy the pack to /saves again without having to re-download. Does that make sense?
Hey quick question. How would I reset my save data? My son would like to start again?
leorex's answer is good for your purpose

Okay, just another bit of feedback now, minor spoilers inside so:
Went some cave crawling and had a doubled heartrate. Loads of Mobs and loads of spawners, for a couple which used to play everything on easy with "normal" world spawns and additionally startet with the game a couple of weeks ago, this is absolute hardcore... But enjoing.
Tried to clear out the hanging gardens, the skeleton spawner in the middle of the pool was a bit too much, but we are still roaming with iron gear. Diamonds seem still very rare to us.
The cave... Whoa. never saw such a huge cave system. Stumbled over a mine after 5 hours of exploring and i have the feeling, that this is not even 5% of the hole cave system so far... I think to complete your map we'll take weeks. Great job, really. Looking forward to find your other monuments, im a bit stunned because of the mere size of the map and the buildings I found so far.
So, thank you.
I will go through hell with the difficulty but it's (so far ) totally worth it ^^
Here's my suggestion
Make sure you go caving for a bit. Ore spawn rates are increased, so as long as you're at the right level you will find what you need. Along with that, experience is very easy to come by with increased ore and with the XP rewards of exploration, so enchant high! However, if you come to something that's too difficult, simply come back to it. There is gear somewhere that will be right for what you need to do. Plenty of overpowered-ness is out there to find, but you gotta follow what you come across and find it. Sounds like you are having a good time though. Hopefully it continues.
Got A Problem with the hanging gardens i have the note to kill minos but i can't seem to find it :'(
He may not have spawned due to a render distance issue. I'm going to update the original post to include fixes for situations like these.
But until then check this spoiler v
You can put a block of lapis lazuli on the hanging gardens pedestal in the mean time. The updated part of the post will include boss spawn commands, which you can use later.
I have a server for multiplayer but I figured it out. I can't seem to teleport and it's extremely laggy. Is there anything you recommend to make it work better?

You need to enable command blocks in your server properties file, and try lowering your settings to reduce lag.
thank you so much. I guess when i enabled command blocks I forgot to save. Did it again and it worked perfectly. I cant wait to jump into the game with my friends. killer job man
Hey man. I was just exploring a cavern and fighting a slime, and suddenly I was teleported aboveground to somewhere I'd never been. I was on a long, narrow stretch of land surrounded by water on either side. I walked all the way to the end, where it passed through a canyon and took me to the statue of Zeus. A long boss text displayed and I see an End Portal. Was this an intended random event, or a bug? If it's a bug, what are the coords to /tp back to the Mausoleum? EDIT: Found the coordinates from one of your previous replies to someone else. But the bug still stands. Now that I examine things, it looks like this is supposed to be the final boss? Let me know how I can help investigate and resolve it.

Well first, go ahead and put your whole comment in a spoiler. Second, tell me where you were when this occurred. That teleport doesn't even work off of a player detection, so this is really strange.
Edit: I think I actually caught the source. The result may be from a change made right before the map was released. Crazy that you encountered it. I am insanely disappointed that this occurred for you. It won't affect your play through besides the fact that you'll miss that dialogue later when you come to it at the right time, but still super bummed that it happened.
To prevent it from happening again, follow these steps:
1. Teleport yourself to -205 39 99
2. Locate a weighted pressure plate on top of a piece of bedrock between four sea lanterns
3. Break the pressure plate and put a lever in its place
4. Gamemode 3 to get back out into the world
The keepInventory gamerule may have also triggered for you, so go ahead and type "/gamerule keepInventory false"
Anyway, a really important fix resulted from your comment. Thanks for that.

An adapted, smaller version is currently in the works for Realms. Won't be CTM necessarily, but is planned to be available as a preset nonetheless.

heh heh
Ahhhh. A beautiful site. When my plans go just as I imagine them >=D
Lol but thanks for posting! Great stuff!
