Cool map, it had the exploration element that I feel so many other maps could benefit from.
I you were to make another map, I would recommend using this style again, although preferably a tad longer.
It would also be nice to have used the fire arrows more and in more creative ways...
That said, 10/10!
Thanks for the feedback and the ideas. Though I'm not gonna add any more puzzles/rooms to this map, your response is certainly useful for any maps i might make in the future. However I cannot guarantee it would be much larger, as I don't want to take on too big of a project Singlehandedly.
The map has yet again been updated, this time fixing even more bugs and adding some drama to the treasure chamber! Apart from redoing the ending, I also added a couple of easter egg features (eg. the cannon on the ship now works)!
How is the green room supposed to be solved? I just did trial and error, but I assume there is actually a solution.
What leads me to believe this is the fact that there are 6 light, and 6 seats at the table. There's a clock on the counter, so I assume that I need to travel clockwise around the table. Finally, one of the plates for one of the seats is a block to the right. I think this is a starting point.

That's all I got.
If I remember the green room correctly, I just kept trying out different orders until one worked. I think you used some more than once though.

Sorry to say, but there are no clues at all to solving the green room, and the plates are just for decoration. Trial and error on the stone buttons is the only way to solve it, although it shouldn't be too hard as it dings for each right combination.
For this map, I went for the easy-to-understand kind of puzzles, so it would be for anyone. That's why you encounter little to no parkour in the dungeon as well.
There are no particles( I have them on), nothing is moving or doing anything and I don't know why
Help please it looks awesome and i want to play it
I'm sorry to hear that, i have an idea of how to fix it that I maybe should try to implement. The problem is that the map is working for me, so I won't be able to tell if it fixes it.
If you want to try and fix it yourself, I would try putting myself in creative mode and finding the command blocks in the bottom of the hollowed island. Around x:0 z:0 there should be a pressure plate covered in barrier blocks that'll maybe fix your problem when you step on it. Not sure though..
I tried playing this map in 1.8.1 and half the redstone magic, like command block text appearing and fireballs shooting out of the floor, wasn't working. I know 1.8.2 changed virtually nothing but the only other thing I can think of that could cause this is optifine? I had that installed. I tried turning it off but my fps dropped to 5 and the map was still borked.
edit: Nope, it definitely isn't optifine, I used a new fresh save with vanilla minecraft. Your map isn't working in 1.8.1, despite nothing that I know of of significance changing in that patch.

The reason why I recommend using 1.8.1 or above is that the /gamerule "doEntityDrops" doesn't work in 1.8 and some people were stealing items from item frames.
I think what's gone wrong is that the clock powering most of the command blocks has turned off due to its chunk getting unloaded while you played. I was hoping something like that wouldn't happen, but since another guy posted the same issue yesterday, I guess I'll have to try and fix it by moving the command blocks to the spawnchunks (which i should have done from the get-go).
I have one problem, I followed the rules, but none of the popups appeared, anything that should have moved would not move, the teleporter would not work, and the secret rooms would not work. So I can not play this map. D: It looks fun though.

Add on to that i am in 1.8.3 on single player MC.
Unfortunately, a few other people have had that exact issue. It's because of a fill-clock getting unloaded. It will be fixed as soon as i get the time, which means sometime next week. Sorry for the inconvenience.
A possible fix would be to start the map as a lan-world with cheats on, then write in "/setworldspawn 0 100 0" and lastly "/tp @a 2000 100 30".
I have released yet another update to the map, this time dealing with a serious flaw that a couple of people have been unlucky enough to encounter, in which the clock powering virtually the whole map stops after being unloaded. There are also a few minor fixes and tweaks to make the overall experience better.
Also, looky here what this guy, Martin Sears, made back in 2003!
You might find it "interesting" after playing the map.
I uploaded the first episode of this map, but forgot to post it till now. So here the video
Nice video. The audio seems a tad weird at times, but it's no big concern. Hope you'll solve the yellow puzzle eventually - It's a little different than the others in that you have to find a tool first.
Great map build and game play however im stuck at the red puzzle room and have absolutely no idea what to do
The pressure plates on the floor raises the lava behind the windows. You have to get the lava in all three windows to the red/orange line. The easy way is to start with the left one, then the middle, then the right one. This unlocks one of the locks to the treasure room, which you'll get to see later in the map.

Have fun playing!

Here is the first episode so far.
Thanks for playing and recording.
I enjoy your take on the map, as I actually tried designing the puzzles to be easy enough to be able to play the map with my younger sister.

The map hit 10000 Downloads last monday, after the Yogscast did a video series on it. That seems to me like a pretty impressive accomplishment!
Thanks for playing and making me proud of myself.

I just play this today and I have to say holy cow. What a fun map. I also recored it. 10/10

I'm glad you had a good time. Looking forward for the video.
