Just did a playthrough on this, and I'm uploading it to Youtube right now! Holy! That was pretty darn scary! Never really got scared by much in my life, but this really scared me! One of the greatest maps I've played!
The map did glitch out sometimes. Wether it was because it was a multiplayer LAN or not I don't know if that effects it.
The map sometimes made you wonder if the map is broken when parts took too long
Scary ambience executed well!
PS:Congrats on getting Captain Sparklez to do your map!
Well done map
Here you go! Might still be uploading/processing, so be patient!
Nice Game! I love it. Are we allowed to use your texture pack in the map, add some of our own features to it, make a suggestion map, and publish it to you only? Because I think your block ideas and sounds are da best and your 'viewers' should have an input to the next map.
Amazing map dude!!! Love your map very much!!! This is the scariest map I've ever played!! Well done!! It does give adrenaline and paranoia at the same time... I really hope you keep making horror maps like this!! And if you do, mail me the map plz...
Hey, I realise I'm a bit late to the party, but I just wanted to let you know that I've played your map, well, ten minutes of it so far, and I'm absolutely loving it! It's the first map I've ever played in Minecraft and it's gonna be hard for other maps to live up to it's standards. I'm going to leave a link to the video I made - I know it isn't the best video and my computer can be quite laggy at times and my microphone isn't great, but it would mean a lot if you checked it out.
Thank you for making such an awesome map!

Thanks a lot, I really love seeing people play it like this! I'm working on the sequel, the remake of Denial, right now ;D
It's another limited vision jumpscare map with a thin story. In fact, the story doesn't make any sense as related to the title. There was no Grief. I would rather have a jumpscare map with no story, than one with a bad story (which I'll come back to in a moment). The build was quite plain. Rules were 90-percent unneccessary. Effects were decent - resource pack for sound effects of course, opening gate, television screen. There's a decent section where you keep navigating the same room over and over - I guess you are going insane. Maybe. STORY SPOILER: Let's see if I understand what happened. Some strange 'event' makes everyone go crazy. And people escape from an asylum. But for some reason the big story is a nameless 17 year old girl is smiling. Meanwhile, I can't find my daughter, even though I keep my daughter locked up in the basement. My storage room is 4x bigger than all the living areas in my entire house. You're given (what I assume to be) your character's name, so you aren't playing 'yourself'. You are a dad. But I don't see nearly enough story to care about your daughter. She's not home after school, so you just go to bed. I guess you have a bad feeling after your dream, so you go through a series of keys to unlock what can only be described as the dungeon you keep her in. And then there's a dude with a broken neck standing in her bloody closet. He kills me. I guess? But then I'm running from the cops and arrested as a coverup? No idea.
Total Rating: 4/20
I have to agree with this review. Maybe it's just because I value stories a lot when it comes to these types of maps since the horror is generally cheap (which it is here, sorry). Although this map is part of a larger story, the story as far as this chapter goes, ends without any progression. No revelation or anything to thicken the plot, it just ends after 20 minutes of what feels like an uninspired Slender-esque parody with more questions than answers, and not the good kind of questions. It's a polished and functional map, but it feels cheap gameplay and design-wise, and gives off the impression that it was made with the intent of being Youtube fodder rather than an engaging, worthwhile experience. I know it sounds weird to critique a Minecraft map in such a way, but when you aim big and don't deliver, it has to be said. It's not a terrible map, it's just not very good in my opinion. Not fun to play, and not at all scary. The potential for something better is there, the map shows that you have what it takes to make something great, this just isn't it. Again, all just my opinion.
