How is the map now, more "forgiving"? Does it just give you more time before the attack?
The ghasts spawn a bit more slowly and can be toggled off completely via the "potato of weakness". I also fixed the boss not doing auto-attacks, which was caused by a hopper clock bugging out for some players. Otherwise, the fight is the same. Congratz on beating hard!
Downloaded V1.2, which was more fun because of a new attack. In that version my first recorded times were: Easy 85, Normal 122, Hard 107.
Can you use the blaze rod against the blaze, or is it just for show?
Those are some pretty decent times!
The blaze rod damages the boss for about 1/6 max health when held. (If you watch closely, the boss explodes when this happens, but many times it happens right as the boss spawns, where there is already an explosion.)
After finding out that the blaze rod did something, I got creative. After winning with one in my inventory, it gave me another so that I had two, then cleared my inventory and gave me another. (at least it looked like that) I'm guessed that this was intended and I tried to exploit the blaze rod. I put the blaze rod in a nearby chest and accumulated some, but when using them, my inventory was cleared of all of the blaze rods when I only held one. (I separated them in my inventory) When it does this, does it hurt the blaze for each blaze rod? (whether intentionally or unintentionally) (for instance: every blaze rod it removes, a score is added, and for each score, it does the explosion?) It happened pretty quickly so I couldn't tell, and I wasn't going to collect a number of them again to find out. Now that I think of it, I could have looked in the redstone, but I'll probably find out faster asking you. If you don't want people to use multiple blaze rods, you will need to change something. Later I found out that I could throw the rods on the floor, use one, pick them up and repeat, using up all of the blaze rods.
Also, it is important to note that if the player stands on the soulsand, the fire attack won't hit them unless the fire lights next to the block and the player is over the edge where the fire is.
So far, I have had problems updating the best time for easy (didn't test normal).
Here, there is also a slight bug. It said that I finished with a time of 82, but showed that I finished with a time of 81.

I'm impressed with your dedication here- I intended this map as a one-time playthrough for most players. There are a few minor bugs that don't terribly detract from the experience, so I left them in to work on other projects. The scoreboard is a bit glitchy at times, dying after winning opens the core for the next round, etc. I will admit, I had thought of the storing multiple blaze rods and accounted for that, but it hadn't occurred to me that they could be thrown on the ground and then used one by one! That is an easy fix; I might add it in at some point in time.
Hi there, I made a video about this map years ago but changing my name on here deleted all my posts so I thought I would go back & re-post the ones I can, also sorry about the quality it's not what it is today:

Here's a teaser of what I'm working on now:
Thanks for the teaser. It is always nice to see what you are working on next.
Here are my final, best times (for awhile):
Blaze Core exploit: 46 on normal and 65 on hard.
Otherwise, My best times were 67, 76-78, and 86 (easy, normal, hard).

I think that you could use the no movement tag, the no ai tag, or maybe you could use the follow distance tag.
