I'm working on putting together a quick Christmas adventure map with Blueloving (my alpha tester for my maps ^^) which we are going to try to get out either before Christmas or Christmas day. Right now we are thinking it will probably be a quick dungeon of sorts in the north pole with a boss at the end with a bit of a storyline. I figured I would post a quick screenshot though there isn't too much to it yet ~
Did some runs through the bosses in Tales of Nira 1 again for fun and got some new personal best times so I decided to add them to the main post ^^ Feel free to try and beat them for fun, i'm curious how fast some of them can be possibly defeated!

Best CTM map I've played...better than Vechs IMO. However, I am stuck in the sewers...can't seem to find anywhere else to go. Can't find the fleece, recipe, next stage etc. Any hints would be appreciated. Thanks for your efforts in making the map...excellent work!
hay I_chiken here I have started recording the map and have got to intersection 0.
So far the map looks really good. (I like the idea of cut scenes)
There is only one thing so far that I have found that isn't a problem but will cause problems for you in the future.
The use of the term "victory monument" is legally owned by Vechs so it may be a good idea to change the name of the monument to something else.
The map so far looks great hope it will only get better

First of all, fantastic map, but I am not sure if I have been doing something wrong, I get to the first boss and it does not spawn (I've waited there for about 5 minutes). It's very annoying because I would really like to finish the map but I don't want to restart. Any suggestions?
You have to enter the fleecy box room for it to start up there actually =)
So far I like this map. Pretty easy and straight forward up to Intersection 1, which is where I am. I think I've been playing too much Super Hostile because I ran the entire length of the railroad just to make sure it didn't throw me into a pit of lava
I hope the difficulty picks up soon, but gradually. Beautiful views so far, and I love the Delightful Info Boxes. They provide information similar to when Vechs does his dev commentaries (though obviously a little less detailed), which I like to know.
Gonna keep playing now, hope you keep doing what you're doing!
EDIT: Oh yeah! Just a little OCD quirk, but there is a single power rail that isn't powered at the turns on the railway. You still get to back and forth just fine, just a little OCD spike is all, and I thought you should know. Nothing to release a new version of the map for.

There is a path right beside (to the right) of the final structure leading to the next area. ^^
I just completed this and wow. This is the best CTM map that I've ever played . Also, there's some issues that I get when playing this:
I think you supposed to be on peaceful on the monument area/base. The teleporters from Intersection 2 and above didn't set the difficulty on peaceful
The "Tree" won't grow. When it said that the tree has grown a little bit / it has fully grown, I checked it and it still just a regular sapling. I had to cheat to get the item from the tree when I used the last Terra Restore. This might have something to do with unloaded chunks.
When you try to fight a boss again, it doesn't reset the boss area. Example: On the 2nd boss, the path to the purple fleecy box is still open. Or at the 3rd boss, the villager and the teleporter out is still there
I also suggest to make it so that the music loops. I don't know if you can do that, but it'd be great to. Maybe make a thing that you can press in the chat to play the music.

Unfortunately the Christmas map I was working on had a ton of chunks from it randomly reset for some reason. (I'm not sure if it was because of the new version of MCEdit or when I tried uploading certain plugins to the server or the preset for the superflat world that I used or what) Even when I went to the backups they were reset too which is really weird and a bit terrifying. So instead I might just be doing up a Winter-y boss fight there soon, trying to put together a quick adventure map there really close to Christmas probably wasn't the smartest of ideas anyway. ><
Also Terra Restore 2 will start up development there quite soon, I've taken a couple weeks there to write down a ton of ideas that I've thought of and made sure to plan it out more.

Thanks for the feedback! ^^ Can I ask what your render distance is set to? I believe the reason why the tree doesn't grow is because the chunks for it are not loaded in the distance when the clone commands go off, I'll have to fix that for sure in the next update as it seems some people even play on like 2 render distance. I've always developed the map with 16 render distance so I never ever thought of issues like that ^^;
As far as the music goes the second one is for sure going to have the option to loop music since it's been requested so much. If I can do it easily/quickly I might do a quick update there to the first one to add the ability to play the songs again like maybe how you said with clicking it in chat or something.

This is the most fun adventure map I've played before, not only the beautiful scenery but also the well designed bosses and story line. The BGMs have definitely boosted the game experience. The map throughout is quite smooth except few places requires some manual changes.
The Giant boss is most remarkable as the potions keep throwing me and my friends into the void. It takes tons of trials in order to kill that giant boss.I am quite impressed about the terra restore and recipe system as it allow players to upgrade their place and their base would be more beautiful along with the playing of the map.
About the problems, I wonder if this is only the problem of my server or it is the problem of the map. Some of your dropper pulser doesn't work, such as the one of prisoner guard, the water portal to the legendary bow,etc. I am not sure if it is the problem of my crappy server or other things. The moon and sun shrine thing also doesn't work in my server also, but i think it should be the bad consequences of using /time commands lol. Moreover, i wonder if i could control the amount of spawner's spawn, since I think the it spawned much more mobs than intended, and keep overwhelming me and my friends and it often make my server broke down.
The teleport buttons of the home base is quite troublesome btw as it teleport all players to the location, especially when 3 people is playing the map and it would cause a chaos.(This is actually a quite minor problem, you could simply neglect it lol) It is also better to have a setting that could keep inventory for some player that seek less excitement as it is quite troublesome that the inventory won't keep upon death.
There are also some infinite statements looping and keep spamming my server log, it's something like "setting base music time" and i eventually manually shut the loop down.
For the big tree, it is also not working in my server, and those command blocks show something like cannot copy blocks outside the world. However, resetting the redstone signal, the commands blocks works again and the trees was cloned. But it seems a bit weird that some leaves of the trees would decay itself.
I finished the map with 2 others friends and we all found this map excellent. Well done for the map and we greatly appreciate for the development of the map. The map have brought us a nice time and I am looking forward to the Terra restore 2. Wish you to have a happy new year.

After doing a very quick test there it seems you need to set your render distance to at least 14 before placing in the final Terra Restore otherwise if the chunks are not loaded in the tree will not be fully restored. I'll try and upload a new version with a fix to that in a bit here.

Thanks for the feedback ^^ The giant boss is for sure quite a bit of a challenge there as depending on your positioning you could easily get knocked off into the void.
As far as the dropper pulsers or hopper clocks go what version of the map were you playing on? Some of the hopper clocks in the map like to bug out because in the current version of MC they sometimes glitch and pulse very rapidly or the items inside them duplicate. The majority of the main hopper clocks were moved to the spawn chunks in 1.2+ of the map including the shrine of the moon/sun one so they "shouldn't" glitch out. The prisoner guards were not moved as will as some others just in case it would cause some lag from having too many there. I probably should of moved the legendary bow water portals to spawn too but I missed that one >< I think I will have to change the rest of the hopper clocks to some sort of monster spawner clock as monster spawners wouldn't glitch out.
Some of the teleport buttons teleport all players because certain areas need /gamerules to be updated unfortunately. I was actually thinking of having keep inventory on at one point in the map but that would of involved rebalancing all the loot and some spawners and such.
The setting of the base music time is related to the disco dance floor in your base where it keeps incrementing time to figure out when to shut off the lights when the music ends. ^^
The map version 1.3, I think the problem that my server didn't work is because me and my friends somehow messed up the spawn point and changed the spawn chunk. Btw, is the recipe portals supposed to light up upon unlock like the Terra restore room? It's a bit dark there and sometimes i would mess it up.
Anyways, me and my friends would try out the tales of Nira.
Love this map, definitely able to see real efforts on creating this map, especially the custom features like upgrades and recipe systems which I have never seen among all CTM maps I've played.
The only personal issue is I have to manually set mobGriefing and keepInventory to false and true respectively (I guess on every area where teleportation takes place), as I don't like seeing creepers grief your beautiful landscapes and in most cases I would rage quit if I lose all stuffs upon death...don't want to take all the trouble to gear up again or rush there just to take back stuffs with chance of getting die again.

What's this "final structure" you're talking about? And where is it?
The final structure you had to assault to get to the second boss ^^ 2692 72 -846 is the coords to the next area if that helps
