atmosFear is an adventure style map. Single player is recommended but it can be played as multi-player as long as you aren't using voice communications, as it sometimes interferes with in games sound you must hear.
This is a one of a kind map using new and old methods to bring together a challenging and scary game.
Three main things you need to know to play this map properly.
1. You MUST use the resource pack provided in the download.
2. Command blocks MUST be enabled.
3. NEVER play in peaceful mode.
This map was made in 1.8 to be played in 1.8
The map has been tested for bugs and errors but we know things still happen, so if you experience any issues, please post it and we will attempt to address the issue.

Thanks! You guys did a great job on the vids. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Hope you try out version 1.1 I'm sure you'll like the difference in difficulty and added features.
I'm not writing this post to discourage you, but rather to give you feedback on your map.
I'll start by telling you that I gave up on this map, it's just way to hard. The monsters are very strong and are hard to kill, chile there are tons of them. If I entered any room, I got killed almost immediately and had to walk all the way back from the pervious savepoint, only to get killed soon after that again. I think you should shoose between making the monsters weaker and/or easier to kill, or just use less of them. A way to change the difficulty would also be nice for players who aren't very good at combat (it doesn't have to be the game difficulty, you can also use mobs with better/worse weapons/armour or such, be creative).
The oxigen mechanic is interesting, but it gets rather annoying after a while, especially when you have to deal with a large group of monsters. Maybe it's better if you only use that mechanic outside, which also makes more sence in my opinion. I like the other special mechanics like getting harmed by radiation in the reactor, from the temperature in the solar array and from whatever it is that the drill does. It makes the environement seem more alive.
That's basically it. The map looks very interesting, but I just find it too annoying to die immediately everytime I get into a new area.

The map was meant to be hard, the monsters were meant to be hard. There are weapons scattered around the map capable of dealing with the mobs. There are save points all over the map. The reason oxygen doesn't work in the buildings you are told at the beginning of the map, the computer says "Life support is offline." One would think being on the surface of a moon with little oxygen, infected mobs and alien nanites would be a bit more difficult than Hello Kitty's Tropical Island Adventure.

When I first spawn in at the barracks, I last two to five seconds and am then "killed by magic." What can I do to fix this? I am playing on 1.12.2 BTW. The MC launcher will not allow me to play 1.8 for some reason. I figured that may fix it, but apparently not.
I am going to redownload the map in hopes of it working. I will let you know how that goes.
Just a follow up from yesterday's post. I redownloaded the map and I am still having the same issue. I also tried playing atmosFear 2 and am stuck above the ship and when I fall, I die. I can't find a workaround to that either. Probably not the right place for the latter statement.
