Well, it means you can break anything else possible to break in adventure mode and with the tools given. Maybe I should go clarify that.
If you put the player in adventure mode, then you shouldn't even need to worry about it, except to say not to break item frames?
Also - I'm having a bug.
Once I got to the minecraft puzzle, I got the initial laptop dialog again. It keeps repeating over and over, starting with "Ugh, why can't you just connect to the internet?!"
Could a bat be triggering something in the first room? Am on peaceful...
Hmm, that's strange. What version are you on? I used a piston and testforblock to trigger that block of text. For a quick fix, try /setblock -234 3 -803 air

Yep - found and did the same (setblock). Was hoping it didn't mess anything up.
I just downloaded the 1.2.5 version
Don't worry, each area's redstone works independently of each other As long as you're using the 1.2.5 map version for Minecraft 1.7, you should be good. Have fun with the rest of the map

Yeah... I see you have hopper clocks and comparators all over the place. It's lagging me like crazy.
Are you talking about the Production wing? Yeah, that place is a little laggy, but the clocks stop once you pass it. Or are you just talking about all the player detectors? I wasn't sure of anything more efficient to use for those than a simple hopper clock. Do you know any less laggy clocks?

I think it's the clocks plus testfor commands. You could do it with fewer clocks for sure. Or use Jespertheend's method of detecting player with an xp orb spawner onto a wooden pressure plate.
It may be ok on a decent computer, but my laptop is slow.
Anyway... I'm stuck.
I got the Detention Center Proof/Key, but no idea where to take it?
Stuck in a room with a circuit breaker, admin lamp, and a button. I've tried pushing them in all different order but not seeing anything else I can do here?
OK - finished. I should have the review up tomorrow. In the mean time, here are my rough playthrough notes for your fyi
(playing on a laptop that is lagging even though all my settings are down - suspect clocks)
Am I allowed to break the bed? I'm not going to break anything unless I'm absolutely stuck - I can't tell if the rules are intentionally vague.
Should I "start" or "sleep until tomorrow"?
I pressed start; dialog was clever; but why was I teleported 3x into the ceiling? Ow.
I wish there was an NPC "Secretary". Just having an empty room and dialogue feels odd.
I idly wonder if the art in the Art Director's office will be important (e.g. triva later)
I chuckled when the intercom said Ulicit would appreciate it if I attempted to fix the elevator myself.
Haven't seen one of these lever puzzles in a while (sadly it's taking me a long time on this laptop due to lag in general). Easy - I don't even think it was possible to screw up (e.g. get the block in the wrong spot).
Oh. Another. Definitely looks more complex... timing will be hard with laptop - have to cheat and spawn levers (after seeing what to do).
Rail puzzle? hmm. I didn't expect this to be such an old school puzzler...
For some reason, while I was in the minecart room I got the initial laptop dialog again? Twice. Could a bat be triggering something in the first room? Am on peaceful...
OMG - it's just repeating over and over and over now. (starts with "Ugh, why can't you just connect to the internet?!")
Wait... where did I miss getting a passcode?
I press A.
Was it van gogh? Wow - I think a lot of people might miss that and be really frustrated. Can't believe I got it on my 2nd try.
With all the spam from the opening text, I couldn't read what to do here
/setblock -234 3 -803 air <- I got rid of the gravel, hopefully that doesn't screw anything up!
At iron ore puzzle. I have absolutely no clue what to do here, just by observing. Let's push some buttons...
Making an iron ore bridge?
Power cube seems to do nothing?
I have absolutely no idea what the goal is here or what to do. Just pressing buttons now...
Ok - I see where I'm supposed to get power to. Not sure I understand how this fits into the story. Unique puzzle, but kinda awkward.
Hmm... I went into the emergency elevator, but I'm back in detention?
Ah - I see how to get out. But not sure why (story-wise) the elevator would evacuate workers here.
(I went into mcedit and removed some hopper clocks from previous areas and lag much improved)
I like the office puzzle, even though it's kinda simple
Oh - I'm SUPPOSED to break carpet! (why would key be under carpet?)
I "beat the high score" and broke black carpet, but now what...?
I have a feeling I'm supposed to go back somewhere and shoot something else...?
Ah... I see a button way off on the U. What if I use up all my arrows?
Pretty sure I hit it, but nothing happened.
(going to look in mcedit, I see a bunch of setblock airs... I hope I didn't just ruin something)
Forget it. I'm just breaking down the door to 2c
Hmm. I have the detention center KEY, but where to put it...?
Ohhhh. Thank goodness someone on the forum asked the same question. Gravel
For fun, I bypassed the hopper and just dug under the doors
Oh. :/ LoL
Similar to starting room. I like the symmetry.
But. Now what...? Pressing the buttons seems to be in a stalemate...
(checking forum again...)
Stupid rule about glass PANES, not BLOCKS
I don't like that you can see redstone and command blocks outside the map
I also don't get this part in the story. So, we're IN a computer program? What are these levers outside?
I like the teleport flashbacks
Glowstone room = free?
I broke through, realized there's more, broke through other wall, into the stone block building
Is this a puzzle with the lighted corners?
Hmm. I got tired of it and busted through the wall. Started walking forward and got warped to the end.
Review Summary
This is the type of 'first map' that has some rough edges, but for multiple reasons gives me a warm feeling underneath and makes me think the map maker has a good future ahead of them. Firstly, the overall experience feels deeply rooted in early escape/puzzle maps, but the character motivation and background story are actually unique. I really like that you get to experience events leading up to the point of needing to escape, and are not just starting at the point of escape with a disembodied narrator. The story is odd, in the way that leaves me smiling, "why would THIS be in this environment?!" and I'm not sure if the payoff quite holds together, but it's consistently odd throughout. No combat or excessive jump puzzles; focus is on the story and interactive puzzles. The puzzles start off traditional and low-tech, but ramp up nicely and include at least one that I've never seen before (even if it too is a bit awkward, but points for originality). There are also some practical special effects (e.g. machines that come into motion and turn off when you get out of range). There is intentional wording in the rules, that feels awkward, but I believe can be revised for 1.8 adventure mode, where tools can be allowed to break specific blocks. Despite some mild frustrations during play, I found myself wanting to know what came next and how it ended.
How did you break the puzzle? I don't think the reset button even has the ability to break it. Sometimes, however, the ore machines will break from clicking the button too fast. If this is the case, you can just cheat through this one
I've been playing this map for a while, and I've come across a few glitches:
1. The laptop conversation repeats, as previously mentioned. I also had the conversation in the elevator workings repeat.
2. The clocks in the laptop production area don't seem to be working for me. I went to creative and removed an item (as they each had two), and that worked. EDIT: Actually, most of the clocks ended up with multiple items and thus were not working correctly. Whenever I got stuck, I had to go out and check them to make sure they were working. I'm not sure what happened.
3. In the lever puzzle I had some weird block update issues that meant pistons wouldn't extend/retract when the appropriate levers were flipped. I'd flip all of them up, all down, flip them back and forth in frustration, and eventually I was able to solve it.
I also haven't been able to solve the production plant puzzle. I'm not sure if I broke something or I'm just bad at it, but every piston seems to go just one block too short, and I can't make it onto the ground pistons.
I was just about to ask what to do in the offices when I decided to break everything down and found the redstone. Now I get why you said to break glass blocks.
I'll give a more detailed review once I finish.
EDIT: All done! That redstone clock glitch really messed up a lot, so I had to fix it. Maybe set up a sensor to whatever starts the clocks to detect if the anvils already have something in them. It could have just been my cheating that did it though. The map was fun and interesting to play. It's a bit different from most puzzle maps you see around here. The story was interesting, but could be added to. I think it would be a bit more interesting if, after fixing the elevator, the computer just says "Wait here" and then in trying to get back to the lobby or to fix your laptop, you stumble on the surprise. Still, I did like the computer's lines there. Due to that glitch, I often had to break through walls and mess with things, and it really ruined a lot of the cohesiveness and I was never sure whether I was failing at the puzzle or if it was broken. I never did find the detention cell key, I had to teleport myself several times, and I gave up on the production line puzzle. Just fixing that clock glitch would definitely help.
Yeah, those clocks seem to be troublesome. I'm going to see if I can replace some of them with pressure plates. I also need to find out what's causing the dialogue glitch.
How do you get the detention room key? I found the door behind the gravel (I got the shovel) but don't know how to open the door.
EDIT: You should either make the dirt something non-breakable by a shovel or say you can't break dirt in the rules; you can destroy the dirt under the door and get outside to all the redstone and everything.
EDIT2: Okay, I cheated past that part (I got bored) but I still want to know how to get the key :P. Also, now I'm stuck in the room right after the Intercom says "Choice is an illusion"
EDIT3: I flew around a bit in Creative because I was 90% sure that part was impossible, and so I found a room that actually did have two choices? How do you get there???
EDIT4: By the way, what was the answer to the word password near the start? I cheated past that too (I suck at puzzles).

Thanks then, I also had no idea how to solve that one and accidentally broke it.
Do you have any of the keys? Check around the storage area. If you have the final key, go back to the Detention Center using the elevator
Nono6464:
Ok, I'll replace the dirt under the iron doors.
The last puzzle to sort of a finale that is super hard to figure out. You have to look at the color of each light. Each color represents a certain area in the map, you have to activate them in that order. I know this is somewhat impossible to figure out, but I was stuck for a puzzle that's really hard. You get to the actual choice by beating that puzzle.
The answer is "Gogh" (it's from the art director's room)
