Hello everyone! I have been working on my second full map, It is going to be open world this time and will be an island. I have been working on the basic terrain and it has been gonging well, so I decided to release some teaser screenshots.
Just an update, I have been working on my new map, and have had a lot of ideas and concepts for the new map. Also thought maybe some people might be interested is my other maps seeing as this hasn't been posted on in a month.
I wanted to ask you next. What mcedit filter that you use to create these giant caves, I've looked everywhere and can not find the site.
Might help if I may. thank you
To make the huge caves I used MC edit brushes. Then I used the erode brush. If you are familiar with MC edit, just increase the brush size and hollow out areas in a set area of blocks. Hope this helps
EDIT: Make sure you use an AIR brush when you hollow out the caves
I have bunch of real life stuff going on so I can't work on the map as much as I'd like, also there are two maps that are being created, one is on hold.
Ive been swamped with school work and other real life things. Sad to say, work on my second map is very slow. I work on it when I can but, I can't see it coming out soon. The map that is currently on the forum was put on hold until minecraft was more stable. Basically I needed a feature that is supposed to work in the game but wasn't at the time. Now that its fixed I could work on that map again, but I have started another intersection map that I am still working on for saying what it is specifically. The first intersection in about 75% complete, that's being generous, and I plan on making the map five intersections. Needless to say, I don't have any maps coming out soon, but I still work on the map frequently.
Hello everyone! I have been working on a new map and it is finally released! You can find the download link on the main post of this thread. The map is a full length CTM called "Whirling Phenomena".
so me and my friends decided to play whirling phenomnean on my realm.....
Holy cow this map is fricking hard. We played hundreds of other ctms and none of them were as difficult as this one.
That being said, this map is easily one of the maps that makes my friends and I want to stop playing it outright due to a few things....
There's quite a few traps that just are unescapable outright.
The sheer amount of spawners in some areas actually crashed my friend's game once....
and the amount of resource we don't get is just....
we had to make a cobblestone dungeon by getting water from the monument area and tunneling to the silverfish lava area. That's how hard resource gathering is.
Maybe its me and my friend's fault for being used to other ctm maps, but we could not beat this map first off.
That being said, my friend tmtravlr made a different variant of the map that is more for casual players.
If you're interested i could show you at least some minor screenshots of the changes.
Oh ok, I got scared for a second. What kinds of things did he add.
In play play testing I was able to maintain health with zombie flesh and make wooden tools to get by. Though that is with full knowledge of where all the key places are. I would also imagine needing resources for several people would make the beginning harder.
Awesome! Will be sure to watch!

How are things going with your second map?
tl;dr:

Take all the time you need.

Do you mean he released an edited version of my map? And yes I would like to see the screenshots
No of course not. The edited version currently is only on my realms.
I shall do one better and upload a video shortly.
