The Specialists is my experiment to see what happens when you mix a PVP map and an adventure map together. I was very happy of how the map functions, so I made it HUGE. Most of this map was made at the time of the official release(1.0), so some new features are missing. If you think the map is lacking in some way, please tell me down below so I can improve the second map.
I was going to write down and explain all the classes, but there are to many. The Specialists 2, which is already finished, has classes that are easier to explain. To explain the classes, you have to understand that if one class is close to another and nobody has claimed the place, you can walk over, claim the class, and take the other classes items. Also, the classes in the nether and the class in the end cannot be selected to lobby. In other words, to play as them you have to raid them as another class, or start in the nether/end.
As I said before, the map is huge. there are plenty of structures scattered around, most with loot. Also, there is a huge tower, as seen in the screenshot above. This was one of the first things built in the map, so most of it is not up to date in redstone tech. At the "borders" of the map there is a line of bedrock, 1 block high. This makes it so you know if you are in an area where structures are present, but doesn't restrict you from exiting. Completing the map by conquering all classes and climbing the huge tower should take well over an hour even if you do know the entire map.
FRIEND, OR FOE?
Since this is a hybrid of a PVP and adventure map, you could team up with a friend, race to the finish, or just kill each other. Ive played this map several times with friends and I think we all agree that teamwork is more fun. The Specialists 2 is more based on PVP, but you can still go either way. Also, you can still play this by yourself as just an adventure map, so don't worry if you cant play with a friend.
