This has most likely been said by others, but I'd really like to see this audio mechanic make it into full-size (more than a half hour long) adventure maps. It would be awesome if more people started making maps like this.
I had a great time playing these, and I hope to see more in the future!
This is something I'm personally pushing for our future full-length maps, but if you look at it currently, it can cause a fair amount of lag, especially when the audio files get above a certain size. If Mojang continues to streamline the process and allows a fully customizable soundboard, via the /playsound command, and is able to stop the source of the lag via some awkward coding that causes Minecraft to slow down when loading sounds, this would become something extremely viable.
As of now though, limitations need to be met for playing and triggering custom sounds. If/when this is lifted, expect narration in-game to launch quite largely.
Here's a rundown on part one folder.....
*an extras folder containing [spoilers].
*a random picture of French fries called "you want fries with that?"
*and the 1.6 prerelease launcher download.
And *a link to their YouTube channel.
This was... interesting. Not to say it's bad of course, I love it. :3 Made me remember some of those old style games where the warden or something taunts you. Great work, I really honestly hope to see more things like this from you. If this is the future of adventure maps... Oh yes!
