You are a member of the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team sent out to investigate the disappearance of Bravo Team in the Arklay Mountains. As you come across Bravo Team's downed helicopter, a pack of dogs attack you. You take cover in the nearest building, the mysterious Spencer Mansion.
Features
Closely mirrors a typical Jill playthrough.
1-2 players recommended. You can play with more, but supplies will be stretched thin.
Themed skins!
Layout is as close as possible to the game as I can get.
Areas become accessible as you collect the necessary keys.
Puzzles based on RE puzzles.
Save points and the magical storage chests.
Lots of items!
No really loading screens every time you open a door!
Zombies!
Challenge Mode!
Requirements
Texture Pack: Sphax PureBDcraft
If you use Optifine or MCPatcher, please use Connected Textures; it's built with that in mind. If you can't, don't worry. It won't break the map.
If you play on a server (recommended), make sure it has these settings:
spawn-animals=false
pvp=false
enable-command-block=true
Render Distance = Tiny
Brightness = Moody, but if it's too dark, feel free to crank it up until you can see. It's mostly for atmosphere.
The rest of the rules will be explained in the tutorial.

I will cycle these around from time to time, so be sure to post one if you make one!
I plan to begin building Resident Evil 4 on July 1st when 1.6 officially comes out. Problem is, I don't know texture packs well enough to pick one that would fit well with all the settings involved. if you have a suggestion, please post here, message, or email me so we can discuss.

If you have any feedback, suggestions, or issues, feel free to post here, find my on PMC, message me, and/or e-mail me at my profile name at gmail dot com. I can fix if something is broken or hint you through somewhere you're stuck. I'd also love to hear the positive feedback if you have some.
And if you have money burning a hole in your pocket, instead of buying a zombie-filled mansion, you have the option of donating a tiny amount to me! It will encourage me to make more (specifically RE2 and/or RE4) and will go towards a better computer that won't overheat so much when I'm on multi-hour building binges. Plus, for a donation of $1 or more, you'll make it on the thank you wall. For $20 or more, I'll give you a personal creative mode tour (or adventure mode playthrough, if you'd prefer. Perhaps both.), explaining how I did things and looking at all the skeletons in the closets. But of course, don't donate if you can't afford to. It's okay; I won't hold it against you.
Very impressed so far! Consider doing Resident evil 2 or 3?
When the next minecraft version is release, i will happily aid you in a resource pack for authentic resident evil sounds !
I definitely am considering doing 2 next. It'll be quite a challenge building up the city around it, so whether or not I do it will depend on how well this map does.
I just finished this map tonight and it was beyond excellent. Took me a few hours over two nights - wonderfully long map.
The layout was exactly like in the game, including that stupid little post in the middle of the hallway near the Rebecca save room/west wing 1st floor save room - never understood why that was there XD
And even the classic, the double-closet room with the "Itchy. Tasty." journal.
All the gameplay was tight, the redstone mechanics worked wonderfully with all the appropriate sections opening and the puzzles, too. Loved the "shark" in the water ring... Just every detail, man. Right in the childhood.
I was going to email you my praise but I got too excited you provided TNT in the end and started blowing everything up so I lost the sign with your email address.
Just played through your map with a friend, we thought it was amazing! We also recorded it for our YouTube Channels as well, you can check out the first Episode here if you want:
I have also been building a REmake on my server!
Been looking forward to seeing your finished build though, your puzzels are great! (Except the art room one, despite having played RE a bunch of times I had NO idea what I was meant to do there and just flipped switches till it worked).
Redstone worked well
Mobs (mostly) worked well (some did not spawn, should add some mobs to a few more areas)
Puzzles (mostly) worked well (some could be bypassed without requiring the key item)
Build accuracy was ok (yes, I'm comparing it to MY build!)
Atmosphere was perfect
My score:
28... is that good or bad?
To make a suggestion though: OP, go do a playthrough again, fix a few small things not working properly, re-upload, profit!
Hopefully Minecraft 1.6 will fix a few more adventure mode problems, like breaking frames and redstone etc.
I give this an "awesome/10"
Thanks and great job!

Just uploaded Episode 2 of our playthrough, this time GamerKnoob gets a nasty scare from a Creeper in a Minecart, which I deftly avoided. You can find it below:

Just recorded Part 1 of my playthrough of this map, rendering the video now, gonna upload soon. Such a great map deserves a playthrough of it plus a great A! But some of the mechanics of this game is confusing though .... My channel --> http://www.youtube.com/user/TLFallen

Episode 3! I may not have the clever descriptions that G1Teanji has, but that does't mean much!
Episode 4! I had forgotten to put all these up on the forum so woops! But here they all are!
