Question about mooshroom.
Do I need to higher the level of mycelium ground for them to start spawning, cause I got a big surface of mycelium and none spawned while already got pigs and sheep and some little patch of grass.
Mooshrooms, for some reason, do not spawn on Mycelium. You need grass in your Mushroom biome to get Mooshrooms.
Yes, I think it's weird too.
Also for the end portal did you build it like that:
That's on the ground and Right Above on the stone(or whatever you used to trap the lava), it should be your end portal.
And then it should lit up after you placed all the ender eyes.
You don't need lava to light the end portal, all you need to do is place the blocks correctly.
From the Wiki:
If the player somehow obtains the necessary Ender Portal Frame blocks, it becomes possible for them to build their own portal. However, the portal frame block that last receives the Eye of Ender must be oriented the correct way, placed from inside the circle and facing out. Oddly, the orientation of the other 11 frame blocks does not matter. This only works in the Overworld.
Im probably missing something..
1) How will i create the enchantment table when i dont have or cant mine 4 obsidian..(Do i need to kill the wither and let him blow up obsidian ?)
2) How will i ride a saddled pig
Is there a chest that contains some of that stuff and i missed it or what?
1) Villagers. They won't sell you an enchantment table but (eventually) one will sell you a diamond pick.
2) Villagers. One will (eventually) sell you a saddle. Or in theory, Mojang wil some day add a recipe that hopefully only contains leather and maybe string.
Many many things in this map (as in OceanBlock) are obtained through villagers. In this map it's harder to make a village, but it's just as important.
I am just is awe of this map! I cannot put it down! You sir are a map master! I just got enough iron for my bucket (got 1 iron for flint & steel almost right away) to go get some water to make a cobble generator.
I just finished part 10, and in recording part 11 discovered something: Zombies (and others) only drop armor in Normal difficulty or higher. And now I'm on Normal from now on
I was about to go and capture my second villager when suddenly I walked into the first one and POP
He jsut fall throuh the world -___
Is there any way that I can spawn one that was the same as him If I go in creative mode?
Ugh this bug is so annoying. Fortunately I didn't have that happen before I got my village going. I did have one baby villager glitch through the floor, though I had a slime farm underneath, so it was just stuck there until I decided to put it out of its misery when it didn't have a useful trade. Animals keep escaping their pens, especially chickens. And back to villagers, I tried trapping some with good trades but they kept getting out, only one or two stayed put, so I've given up for now and just wander through the village looking for the trades I want. Maybe I should try solid blocks instead of fences. Solid blocks behind fences seems to help with the animals, though sometimes they will still manage to glitch on top of the fences and then walk out.
I'm not playing this world (the idea of there only being one layer of dirt and nothing else beneath me triggers my acrophobia something fierce!) but I am enjoying it vicariously through 5th Horseman's, Megatrain's and other's videos.
Talking about the glitches, I've noticed that glitch with farm animals in another world I'm playing - the cows and chickens just keep gel itching through the fences. At one point I had about ten cows in a pen, and a few days (game time) later, there were only three left. I keep finding them wandering around the countryside, even though I penned them all up initially (it's a survival island and I started out with only four). I expect that with chickens, since they can occasionally fly over fences.
I actually exploited the animal glitch yesterday. I wanted to move some but not all the animals from where I had stashed them far far away back to my main base. I made a baby animal (because they glitch the easiest) held a food item and backed up a bit and they very nicely glitched through the fence and I then led them to their new home. Other animals pushing helps. Sometimes it didn't quite work because more than one animal would glitch through, but I was able to separate them out further by using more fences.
I also had an animal die to the glitch I think. I found some raw beef in the middle of my pen. I think the cow glitched into the ground and suffocated. Nothing else I can think of that killed it. I have seen animals in blocks in the ground, though they usually pop back up before suffocating.
I got a complete collection of music discs yesterday by a minor modification to my mob trap. I'm now working on getting enchanted gear for the trip to the End. Needed more leather for books for a few more bookcases (don't currently have a villager selling them and I'd rather spend emeralds on things that I can't get any other way) thus the reason for moving the cows - hanging around at the far far away farm waiting for cows to grow up got boring.
Finally bothered to update to 1.5.2 today. So maybe that will help with the animal glitch, though I didn't see that mentioned in the list of bug fixes.

(and I get my gold for the apple and start work to get a zombie villager)

And both of those just glitched up and down, they never fell out of the world.
