Replay: 2013-05-23:
I've been asked to check the latest version of Gloria, 2.06 (MC 1.5.2). First I found myself in a confusing OOC-area, I didn't anticipate that one. Then I felt nauseated by the new Texture Pack, that was butt ugly. I understand why CFG puts 2 different TP:s in. Then it's back to the boring island, the boring signs and the boring tasks, (mostly boring because I've done them 2 times already). I do find some minor changes and details. Some are improvements like the Trading system, (I could cheat last time), some are really annoying (like the skelly in a tree). The Story is much the same and "durp" is still there, for what reason, I don't know. The Story has of course grown as one plays it again, but I still grade it 4/5. The Puzzles are good and what I didn't realize last time, is that you get some sort of gratification from them, may it just be a redstone trail, 4/5. The Build is excellent still, even if the TP doesn't add anything to it, 5/5. The Experience is naturally a bit dull, having replayed for a third time, but I believe it should entertain newer players, 4/5. There are however two issues two ponder on;
1. Why does it need to be upgraded at all? It feels like some sort of artifical respiration to no avail. If this "CFG-baby" is dead, then R.I.P.
2. The signs makes it Very Old quick. There's no way it's still a 20/20.
But yes, it's up two more points: 17/20.
Thanks for the updated review, and I'm glad you liked it a bit more even if it was repetitive from the first playthrough.
I actually revived it by a request from a personal friend, and it needed to be compatiblized (yes, that's a word now, please be quiet) for Minecraft 1.4/1.5 (it was broken by the updates...)

I have a question for you ColdFusion...
Great map BTW!
I'm watching Beef and Guude's gameplay of your map and I noticed that when Beef died in the Ultimate Core room, he respawned relatively close to it, in a hallway that led to it.
How did you manage to change people's respawn location in different areas? Because I thought you could only control it using beds.

Appreciate the answer!
There's a command block command that is /spawnpoint [@a,@p,@r] [x coord] [y coord] [z coord] which can be used to set automatic checkpoints. The commands are triggered by pressure plates, buttons, etc. I like to continually set players' checkpoints close by so there is very little backtracking involved when they die.

But maybe you should use command blocks instead of signs for the dialogue.

I guess I have to take a look at all the commands available with the command block then!
Thanks!
