Fair enough, if a player can beat an area their way, than who's to question their methods
And 32767 levels? Haha, that makes sense once ya think about it.
Well...really there is no max to experience. But 32767 is the largest value representable as a 16-bit signed integer, so when you reach 32768 levels then your experience bar will disappear and enchanting will be bugged and inconsistent.
Some more map feedback (and spoilers for fellow map players).
Typo the the Nether Area! "Helmat [sic] of the Demon"? You mean Helmet? The street that never was was a fun area. I liked the ghasts that shoot at the streets and shoot mobs for you! Pharaoh's Tomb has the potential to be fun, but just like Golburg's Laboratory, the lack of an obvious path and the need to make your own path to access part of the area bothered me. But the maze with the Creepers was enjoyable...reminds me of my favourite area in Waking Up. The Long Walk was like a standard cave exploration, but you can never go wrong with that. The Cave Spiders and Blazes were fun. Needs more Creepers in my opinion, but fun nonetheless.
My time in the maze in The Pharaoh's Tomb summarized in 5 images:
So many Creepers!
Anyways, I'm done the map now. Some final Feedback:
The Green Wool Cave area was very easy. Kind of too easy in my opinion (compared to the rewards of Diamonds there). But it was a relaxing experience after Pharaoh's Tomb.
The End area was very creative. I haven't played very many CTM's that have an area in the End. A big challenge (and to answer the question posed by the sign, I didn't tunnel, despite the strong want to do so. I need respect! ) that was quite fun and fitting to be a red Wool area.
The black Wool Nether-like area was easy. Too easy to be Black wool in my opinion. Fire Resistance, Speed II and you can speed through it without taking a single hit. I'd recommend Witches due to the fact that they'll drink Speed Potions to chase you when you run away to make it harder. I didn't even loose half my health here. I'm honestly a bit disappointed.
My death count when I finished the map: 15
My rating of the map: 7/10
Will I recommend this to a friend: If they are new to CTM or an amateur at it, yes. If they are an expert, it would probably be to easy for their liking. (BTW I have already recommended it to someone. )
My biggest beef with the map is that the loot is too monochromatic. Not a lot of variety. I like random loot chests better because of the sheer variety of the items you get. Also, there wasn't enough blocks in loot chests for my liking. I took an hour-long trip to Broken Beach to mine Sandstone to help me finish the End area. But I had fun. Not a lot of fun, but it was fun nonetheless. It could do better in my opinion if the Intersection IV & V areas were more difficult.
Now some screenshots of my Victory Monument (I use the Hillian method)

EDITED 2: Dang it! I managed to have a grammatical error as well.

Thank you for reviewing the map! As to the 7/10, yeah I'd say that's an accurate rating. Ya gotta remember that this map was the first thing I'd ever worked on in Minecraft (I had quite a crash course with MCedit).
Trust me though, the sequel/next map is looking a LOT better; for one thing, all but a few areas have clear paths that you can follow. Also, I learned NOT to put out loot chests as you're making the areas, I plan to fill them all when I go through it to balance mobs, ect.
Anyway, thank you for taking the time to post feedback; it means a LOT to me.
Also, I think I should let you know that the piston door that opens when you complete the monument (at least I think it is supposed to open on its own) is broken in 1.5. Only the top layer opens, you need to mine the rest. :/
After taking a break from Catharsis and Minecraft in general here is the first gameplay in two weeks. So far so good map wise. The hardest area i would say is The Core due to all the poisonous spiders and such. Anyways the new map looks really good so far.
Question: Will you be using populate chests for your next map?
No, but I'm gonna focus on loot when I'm going to adjust mobs and balancing, so that the loot isn't really generic and more in tune with what the player is dealing with. I REALLY don't like the idea of populating chests, it just seems too... cursory, like your not really paying attention to what the player might get. With manually placing all the loot in the map, I know exactly what the player is getting when they get it... I also really like coming up with clever names for loot chests

Question: Will the loot in the next map be more miscellaneous; a wide variety of armour, tools, food, supplies and blocks?
Sorry I didn't answer the first question (for some reason I typed it all out, but it didn't register :/)
I'm planning to plant chests when designing the map areas, then put loot inside when I'm going over monster spawners and general balancing things. I LIKE to put specific loot in my maps, especially when I'm trying to make a clever name to go over the chest. I'm going to really make sure that the loot is less generic (or generic in more helpful ways), but I'm not going to populate chests, its too... impersonal
Okay. How about this question: Will the loot from all the chests combined in the next map be more miscellaneous; a wide variety of armour, tools, food, supplies and blocks? In the first map, there was hardly any blocks. And not as much armour when compared to Vechs' maps.

Definitely; as I said in my previous post, "I'm going to really make sure that the loot is less generic (or generic in more helpful ways)", so each chest should be unique and different from the rest, while also having the specific area of the map in mind.
Playing it now, having trouble finding intersection 4 (but I read in the thread where to look for it, so I'll go back tomorrow). I love it! I like how the difficulty scales up gradually. Great job!
Will the loot have enchanted tools and armour in them? I'm still deciding if I want to try your next map. But first: Gift and then Inferno Mines.
How about this: all the loot is going to be done later, I will probably have enchanted loot, but all loot will be done later, I am right now working on the areas themselves.

That's cool. I've finished Gift now and am deciding the next map I want to play. Any suggestions?
Hey everybody. I've started a lets play on this map.
I'd just like to say that Unstorpable you have created an Insanely good map here. I've had fun playing and I recommend it to anyone thinking about downloading this map.
Just one problem... Wheres Intersection 4?
Thanks again Unstorpable. You've done amazing!
Check underwater, there are some caverns in Blight Town that lead to it

I REALLY need to learn how to link things, it's ridiculous how little I know of BBCCode.
It just got released, and it is an AMAZING map!
