Release it in Survival, and put all your thoughts into books at the start area, dungeon area and wool room. Then you can have area layout from the outside, area layout on the inside and difficulty and tidbits in the wool room instead of wool.

I thought about doing author notes in my maps, but decided not to. Also, on a random side note, i might record a playthrough of this map for da Yewtewbs.
Can you make a thread to that server? i bet you didn't, besides, I thought of that the entire time i was running through a forest of brick trees away from ghasts.
Oh boy! Time for a big post! First off, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all; I've been spending my day with my family as well as chillin' with Limitless on Project Ares. So now, I'll respond to everyone and everything (yes Apollo, you are a thing, deal with it) who has posted.
Also, on a random side note, i might record a playthrough of this map for da Yewtewbs.
That would be very cool. When I get the beta out, I'll post a special note for people looking to LP it with some restrictions and things. Basically, it will say something like, "If you do an LP of the beta, your recording schedule must be relatively quick; three episodes per day (of 10-15 minute length) would be ideal, as I want to get the map out of beta and fully released as quick as possible without sacrificing quality."
Commenting for the sake of commenting. Still can't wait for this map!
I've been playing through Lonely Lands as well, and it's going good. I'm hoping it and Spellbound Caves will prepare me for this map.
They may be good preps, Spellbound a bit more-so than LL0, as I'm thinking the difficulty is very clearly going to ramp up towards the end of the map. Also, depending on what I decide to do with... certain things ( :3 ), the map could possibly be scooched solidly into the Easy/Medium - Medium range.
I can't remember if you've set a release date for this yet, Drago?
I haven't, and I'm still tentative to do so. Several factors are contributing to this, including but not limited to; increased activity on Monumenta, me being solidly active on Project Ares, our family recently acquiring the Ratchet and Clank HD Collection (my gift to my Dad, but chances are I'm gonna play it more than anyone else), and finally the delicate balance of not spending too much time on the computer so my parents get concerned and not spending enough time to get anything done.
So yeah, I'll stick with, "It will be out when it's out."

So since Hybran would kill me if I didn't I haven't put a screenie up in a while, here's one from an area that I haven't talked about a whole bunch, and I'm hoping will come as a very unique and nice surprise for many of you.
That's the only picture I'm going to show, just to make the area all that much better when you go through it. (Also, no fancy shaders in that picture. I just put the lighting to Moody, light to Smooth, and graphics to Fancy.)
EDIT: Put that up before Apollo said anything. Jus' sayin'.

hahaha, you so funneh. My recording scheduled is irregular, so my LP in particular will not be that regular. I still wanna play it, but i might wait for the full release so I'm not expected to record so much.
Also for the record, yes, i am a thing. AND PROUD OF IT!

That may be a good idea. I'm not sure if it would make your LP more or less interesting if you played the beta before the final release.
So, there are going to be CARS in this? Are we gonna be able to ride cars through the tunnel? That Pic looks like one of those tunnels that you run through hoping a creeper doesn't blow a hole in it and you don't wanna fall through it. Kinda like in fallen kingdom.
Vroom Vroom.
(Pretend this was quoted to Dragos giant post reply, i couldn't get it to work )

No, nothing like that. I actually took the picture against the back wall of the room, so really you're pretty much seeing the whole room. It's meant to be this kind of unloading bay for clay blocks. Not gonna give anything else away, though. :3

So, a little something I've wanted to address for a couple days; the poll. I find it interesting how as time went on, more people voted for the third option, and how hardly anyone voted for the second option. XD Like I said when I originally put up the poll, your votes may or may not influence which map is released next. As I've been getting closer to completing Dreadsky Isles, I've been thinking about what should happen as far as the "Tales of Dreadsky" series name. I came to the conclusion that "Tales of Dreadsky" should be a trilogy of maps consisting of Dreadsky Isles, Dreadsky Depths, and Dreadsky Heavens, respectively maps #1, #2, and #3. -Redacted- would be map #4, and my suppah secret map idea (that isn't so secret because I told Hybran about it >.> ) would be #5, and so on. #4 and #5 would be free of the "Tales of Dreadsky" series, but if I want, I can revisit Dreadsky in future maps.
As far as what this means for when I'll release the maps mentioned in the poll, well, I'm sorry to say that they'll likely be released in the order they're listed. Even if I start working on -Redacted- right after I finish Dreadsky Isles, chances are you'll get both Dreadsky Depths and Dreadsky Heavens before it. The idea I have planned for that map will require a lot of forethought as well as a lot more effort than any of the other maps I've currently got in my head. Also, the pure experimental and original nature of it will make things very hard to do right. Don't worry; you'll get it much sooner than if I only worked on Dreadsky Depths and Dreadsky Heavens before starting it.
Oh btw FTL is awesome and only $5 on Steam right now GET IT GET IT NAO.

Clay unloading station? Do i see a brown wool area?
It's perfectly reasonable given the location, above water, where they would need to transport clay from an underwater mine up to the Isles.
True, but clay has been related to many jokes and similar things in Minecraft. Though i could be wrong, it's not obvious like Fleece-ception or something.
50% done with Everdark Atlas, feel like a boss right now, and it helps that it's living up to almost everything that I had in my mind when coming up with the idea.
i bet you didn't, besides, I thought of that the entire time i was running through a forest of brick trees away from ghasts.
EDIT: page get.

Isn't that the point of a teaser screenshot?

And good.
Probably I'll just wait for the full release, so i don't get any game breaking bugs.

BTW, first person to name the site that the "-Redacted-" meme comes from gets a cookie.
Hint: Rearrange the acronym for Single Player Commands and you'll have your answer.

SCP, I knew it even before the hint, that obvious.
