I edited a little bit of the map IE: Adding some traveling supplies like dirt and ladders and a small bedrock wall describing SkyGrid. can I post it on the forums?
It's amazing, the only problem it has is that, if you die (which happens often in this map ) you keep respawning in no ground on layer 0, and fall into the Void each time, so I have to delete the save and start it again. Is there any fix to this?
I just started SkyGrid. Is it normal to start at the very top of the world on a floor of glass?? I thought you started somewhere inside the grid?
For all people curious about these: The 1.5 update for the map made a few changes:
1. You have a single biome plains world, based off of a "FLAT" world type. No snow biomes.
2. There is now a glass spawn platform at the top of the world. Note that this means you start higher up. It is relatively easy to go UP in this map; it is much, much harder to go down safely. Note that the "waterfall swimming" system will give you pretty good control all the way down to the Y=5 level; but trying to go down to Y=1 might be a bit of a challenge (there is very little room for error at that point).
3. As a person who cannot parkour, I am playing this for my 50 subscriber special. Proof of my "Cannot parkour" can be seen on my channel (youtube.com/Keybounce), in already published obstacle course videos. My ... "attempt" (lets be generous) on this map is already filmed, and currently in editing.

Just one problem - after about 5 mins of playing lava and water flow down the map...
1. It's a lot more than 5 minutes. Took me closer to 30 minutes to see it start, an hour to see lots of it.
2. It's caused by sugar cane, and cactus, appearing below a water/lava block. So, when they grow up to size 3, they will give a block update to the block above them -- which is the water/lava -- and start it flowing.
3. It's a "good thing" -- the water flow gives you returns back up if you have trouble. In particular, there's one water at the glass level near the glass that will flow all the way down for you.
4. Don't make too many wood platforms if you have not verified no lava above you (look up, at night, and see if you see light).

I finally have a reason to play singleplayer this map is challanging and fun! Sadly you i can't make a snow generator because the biome for the skygrid is a plains
P.S. i love the chests and the spawners it adds more spice to the map by allowing grinders

Oh? ... I thought I've seen them leave the trails anywhere except desert; am I crazy? (very possible).
I have not played with them in a very long time. ... egads, last time I played with a snow golem was 1.2.5.
I recently (well, 6-8 months ago) tried to get one working in a swamp and it didn't. I looked it up and at it seemed to imply that you had to be in a snow biome.
According to the current wiki, they don't work in "Plains, Beaches, Swamp, Mushroom Island, Desert, and Jungle biomes, and the Nether" which seems odd. So they'd work in a river and the ocean, and in The End.

Could you please explain how the filter works!
