And working backwards through Kanto is how they did it as well in the original Gold/Silver/Crystal. Have you played the original versions, the ones for Gameboy Color?
Hmm, actually my Johto is based on heartgold/soulsilver and my Kanto is based on the firered/greenleaf games. I have only played Soulsilver, I have it on my dsi, but i played pokemon gold a long time ago because my cousin lent it to me.

Cool you have heartgold But I like to build in small scales. Does it matter which scale you like to build in? For example it might look funny if one building is huge while the rest are small. (Like the gym in Goldenrod City)
Also would you mind doing a vid on it?
ok, the remake is no diffrent story wise from the original, after you beat the e4 you go on a boat in olivine to vermillion city and you can go everywhere but the entire west side of kanto til you get the pokeflute in lavender town and wake up the snorelax blocking the way of diglets cave. so in other words, you can play kanto in order from the original as long as you go strait to lavender town first to get the raidio. hope this helps

This map is amazing. My only problems are a creeper blowing up the ground in one of the caves and the path resetting if the item despawns( I hope I worded that in terms that weren't too vague...)

I was part of an occult of 9-year-olds who brought their gameboys to school and played Pokemon at a lunch table in the corner of the Cafeteria. That was probably the best thing about my childhood and recreating it, to me, would be just simply MAGICAL. (*EXPOSION*)

I'd like to say I have a good eye for themes and recreating scenes. I used to do a lot of pixel art, if you'd like I could make something after posting this and upload a screenshot of that (if that is the deciding factor of the application (not having screenshots))
