This was ridiculously easy. I'll work on full map run, no or almost no mistakes. You should expect it soon Also what is the current best time ? I plan on crushing it. And i mean CRUSH IT.
you seem to think what makes a parkour map good is if it's hard. This is not the case. One major goal with my maps is replay value. Most hard maps have zero replay value.
Didn't feel like i achieved something amzaing when i finished Across the Land. I'd rather play something hard than something good looking that's all Hey didn't say your map sucks eh, it's really good actually.
just fyi most people happen to think this is a decent challenge. You happen to be really good at parkour. I am also good at parkour. But are you honestly saying that people would rather play something that they usually can't finish than something they can at lease eventually finish? My job isn't to make HARD parkour maps. my job is to make GOOD parkour maps.
I just disagree with you. I probably shouldn't ramble anymore
one more thing. do you want the key to good parkour maps? because I've thought for a long time about it and I've figured it out.

The goal isn't to finish the map as fast as possible. You need to do it with style.
Style means 360s, FOV on Quake Pro, make it look enjoyable for the viewers, nice video effects, good music...
I tried lots of times, and I never finished the whole map doing that.
It's not hard to normally make a 3 block jump, and I mean what's the fun part of doing that?

Ya thats Exactly what this map is about. Just finishing isn't enough. You have to have fun with it, maybe invite a few friends to have a race on multiplayer. There is really more than just one way to do it.

btw my map is better than yours (I'm feeling honest today). please don't come to my forum topic to brag about your map. Ask anyone, they will likely agree. Your map is just a bunch of blocks in a tall room. (yes, I did play it)
Concerning the run. I have encountered several problems during the recording process. First off my comp sucks and the pistons + fraps = lag spikes. Plus in some places the pistons get out a bit too early. Wwould you allow me to add a repeater or two ? Second i have noticed my character would stop sprinting after a while, always after the same exact amount of time. I double checked, it's not me just letting go forward...
For the lag, same happens to me. Recording makes the lag pretty bad.
I'd install optifine, put fog on fancy, graphics fast, render distance tiny.
And yes the sprinting automatically wears off after like 1 minute, you need to know when it happens and be ready to sprint again.
That's actually the main problem of the map, like you make 40% perfect then jump, the sprinting wears off and you fall down.
Oh ok i didn't about that before this afternoon... Then this bring going through the whole map to a new level of difficulty... I dunno about Optifine though.. with some luck i can get the recording to work properly for 10 minutes
Yeah that's what i mean, it's nearly impossible to finish the whole map doing everything perfect...
Btw how would you find it on the next video for 5 secs with the 3rd person view to make it hardcore?

That would be cool ^^ If i ever want more challenge i'll try to do the same but for longer, like for one segment or so lol. i'm gonna work on the run for now
I wanna see you finish your map first without making any fault like a real man.
Lol i might be good but not that much yet, i need to gain consistency. Lemme first finish across the land lol.
Btw gecko, i managed to get a 3min segment rom the beginning, including 360s. I'm getting closer.
Hey there!!
I finished the map and I allready uploaded the video..
Would like to post it here.. You would get more downloads and I would get some more clicks ;DD
nah Id'e Amphase's videos on the forum topic if I do.
