I've modified my first map a bit to not have so many natural spawns. I'll have to check my second map to see if it suffers from the same issue. Please let me know of any other ballance issues so I can patch them up
I really love Happy Love, I think it's my favorite. Do let me know if it seems like it's suffering from too many natural MOB spawns. You must have went beast mode on Sandstone, cause when I was watching Leap play it on YouTube they were spawning faster than he could kill them.
I've applied a fix to slightly decrease spawns in Sandstone and I did a tweak to the skelly towers so that they'll try to spawn from 500 blocks away! just to make sure they are guarded once you get there. I also fixed the spawners in the desert with a 75 block distance to spawn, so that first night in the Safty Hut will keep you inside unless you happened to collect enough string.
Did you ever die in the desert? All the Zombies there have Pickup = true. My hopes is that the player dies, and then comes back to see all their stuff gathered by the baddies.
Anyway - even if it's easy for you let me know if the spawns seem overpowered. I need normal players to survive a little too.
Also- I'm gonna check out your map later today, I'll post in your thread once I do.
OK guys (and gals?), if you want to play my second map I ask that you give me tomarrow to make sure it's all smooth and ballanced. I've learned a few tricks in the past few days messing around in Minecraft.
I like my maps challanging, but I still want them to be fun - not rage inducing!
Maps 001 and 002 have been rebalanced on the natural mob spawns. Let me know if there are areas that are still unfairly hard, or too easy. I'll make a proper news post soon about what else has been going on...

I just don't want to wreck it for everyone else by revealing everything, but it could wreck the map because it did for me so I couldnt finish the map.
I'm done with the update of Float (and boy am I happy to be finished! )
I'm getting ready for the release, I'd still like to do a little more internal testing and balancing this week, but I also would love some external testing as well!

I have many things in place to help balance natural spawns, some places are worse than others, that is ok as long as it's not unfair amounts. Also I want to make sure I gave good loot and nothing too overpowered.
If there is a place where a piece of equipment or item would have really helped - say so.
In the dungeons you should find some stuff that is useless unless you weren't prepared - but not enough to make it so you don't have to prepare; some items that help you with what is in the current dungeon; and a few items that may help you in the next dungeon.

You don't, not at all! The MOD is just an enhancment. I'll make that clear on the first post.
