Hello! I've been looking at this map for a while and I'm interested in the Colossal one :D....I have a question: Is this map based on multiple intersections (like Vech's maps) and if so are there several of them? :D....I love intersection (linear branching I think) maps :P. Thank you!

Keep up the great map work!
Yes there are multiple intersections, there are 4 in total (:
So on the colossal map, me and 2 of my friends were doing it on a small, private server. When we got to the homebase, it lagged alot. So when we went to the vines, there were too many cobwebs! So one of them said, "What was he thinking?". And I agree. It was a LAG machine.
I'm doing coliginous dens and for the life of me I can't find the squid dispenser. >.<
This is a really nifty mechanic though, it's more interactive than bringing home a wool, feels kind of like an escort quest.
Something like this would be nifty for an adventure map, I'm picturing having to craft splash potions of fire resistance to get the mob over a pit of lava, etc...
Definitely playing your next maps! In the meantime though, checking through the thread for where the squid is...
some things that come to mind (may be mild spoilers, just intended for the map creator)
There wasn't much coal to go around, so torches were precious. Had to keep going back to the forest dungeon for that, since there was no other nice, open place for a tree farm I bumped into.
Testificates were the most interesting, assuming it was okay to use tamed wolves/cats and have them follow me to the monument. The shortcut helped significantly in building a rail system. It was still a REALLY long rail since there's no way to make them follow you. The variety of mobs makes you think "okay, how will I get this guy back?" and it's a fun mechanic.
thanks for that sword in the library it really helped
My only guess on the squid is the very first dungeon with all the gravel, obsidian, and cobblestone, but I still haven't seen it. I've found something in all the other dungeons, so does one dungeon contain two dispensers?
You might tone down the number of edible mobs in the spawners, once I got the cow and chicken home, I just spammed the dispensers and killed the rest. Lots of food!
I almost ran out of squid in CD, as they're so glitchy an insanely hard to get into minecarts - at least if you're doing it wrong.
I did finally find the squids, and had the same problem. So many were glitching into the dispenser and dying I found myself with half a stack of ink by the time one climbed in. o_O
Anyway, starting deathly trails #2, the first one left a very positive impression, I'd say it's the best of your maps so far, I hope you make more of these.

I'm already working on #3! might take awhile though...
so I'm doing okay so far on Colossal, it's a little tedious building those massive rail systems, but I'm making slow and steady progress through the dungeons. I hope he removes those vines over the VM room in future versions, that was really laggy until i went in creative mode and manually destroyed them all.
Just some stuff for the mapmaker's eyes only...
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAAHA! I LIVED!!!!!! THE MAP TRIED TO TAKE ME WITH IT BUT IT DIDN'T WORK!!!
Remember that rainbow room? I saw some sort of puzzle, something about trees and cacti. I couldn't find any odd blocks so I picked option 2: set the place on fire with a fire charge. The dispensers were explosion proof, you showed me in the tutorial level, so I knew I couldn't blow them up. There can't be that much tnt, right? WRONG!!! That explosion went on for 15 minutes straight, blasting me clear of its core and into a hole, I sat there with block on trying not to die. The crater is MASSIVE, but right there in the center is one unharmed bedrock mob dispenser. I WIN! I FREAKING WIN!
Somehow I doubt that was how I was supposed to do that. >.<
edit: went back and checked. the bedrock and obsidian are fine, the dispenser is toast. figures. >.> what was in that one anyway?
edit: pretty far now, I'm currently still missing:
-redstone ore
-diamond block
-ocelot
-cow
-villager
-wolf
found but haven't dragged to the monument: squidward
I'd look through lets plays for help but the map is new and I don't know if anyone has gotten this far. >.<
Updated Colossal to V1.1, reduced TNT by 99% in the Fun Area and added a Silk Touch pick somewhere!
thanks for that XD The explosion would've forced me to give up on the map from sheer lag if I didn't have the "removedrops all" command from singleplayercommands. To give you an idea of the crater, the entire dungeon was GONE except the parts made of bedrock/obsidian, and the hole reached almost to the victory pen room.
Progressing, just have the cow+wolf now, once I get whichever didn't blow up I'll consider it done.
What exactly do you neeed help with, though? It doesn't seem like you've already completed all the intersections.
The diamond block. the ocelot, the villager and the wolf can all be found in areas of Interesection 4. Do you have trouble finding that IS?
The cow is already available pretty early, Intersection 2. Seems like you missed it.
The redstone ore is just bad map design - I told timetoslide what I think about it during my beta testing. You need to enchant a pick with silk touch yourself to get it, which is purely luck-dependant. If you want to go for it, the most efficient way to do so, xp-wise, is trying to enchant an iron pick with level 20, which has a chance of about 7.5% I think. (level 22 for diamond pick) These numbers were found on a website about enchantments in MC.
sounds like I blew up the cow. :/ Wolf it is then. There's a very open dungeon here with the bizarre trees that I still haven't found anything in, I've searched it for ages now though. >.<
Hi a friend and I are trying out your map on hard (we are seasoned vechs map players.) I have a few recomendations for things we have come across so far.
Spoilers ahead warning.
In intersection two I have a few issues. In the multicolored wool area I felt it was drasicly easier then the area leading up to it. We expected to find creeper spawners and or blaze spawners galore in there with the tnt but we were quite dissapointed at how easy it was. You might want to consider adding some of those spawners so it can set off the tnt / set the place on fire.
In fort denzienar we were just scouting around the place and got into the animal box with out going into the castle. There is an opening to the bedrock on the outside and doesnt require you to go inside. Also we were quite confused about the ghast spawners around the walls. We thought we were missing something but it turns out we weren't they just were useless spawners.
Another issue we found was that there was a lack of arrows. We had to set up a falling skele spawner for the arrows and we feel that shouldnt be required as its easy to do just takes some time away from the map.
In metallic haven we completly broke your tnt trap because we saw a sign that said "I was a bit harsh on this area" we dug straight past the sign and set off the tnt with out dieing. I'd recomend putting bedrock behind that sign or it will be easy to mess up that trap.
We just started Intersection 3 so we can give recomendations soon. Overall though we think the difficulty is decently good and we have enjoyed the map so far. Thanks for the map .
I don't think it's possible to blow a fleecy box up in this map, the actual dispenser bit is made out of bedrock + water. the water should protect the dispenser. Thing with this area is that there are two fleecy boxes, one just to troll you and tell you that you have to search for another one, hidden by wool that is "out of place". Since that probably blew up, I'll tell you that there were 2 pieces of lime wool. If you still can't find it, I'll provide another screenshot or something.
The troll box:
I hated the giant nether-like-area in IS4 as well. You might want to stick to those lightposts - they'll guide you to the fleecy box. I agree with you that this is not the easiest / the most obvious thing to do. Timetoslide should maybe add a hint sign.
I do believe it is possible to blow up the dispenser. Not only did it occur in the training map (Deathly Trails #0), it just happened to me now.
I'm playing version 1 of Collosal with a friend on private, locally hosted server. We reached the area in intersection two with the massive amount of TNT. We harvested all of the immediately visible TNT, and didn't exactly understand the hint with signs about a certain color wool. So, we decided to manually set off the tnt located further behind the fake fleecy box. After the explosion cleared, and after waiting another 5 minutes for the entities to disappear, we investigated the area. We discovered what we believed to be the real fleecy box with the adminium and obsidian shrine, complete with a mini-waterfall. However, the dispenser was gone, and so were all of it's potential contents.
We investigated a clean version of the map in creative mode and discovered that it was in fact the real fleecy box, with cow eggs inside.
Well, you did it. Over a year of lurking on the forums, and you finally made me make an account just to say I'M LOVING THIS MAP!
I went into Fort Denzier, saw the ghast spawner in the middle of the island, and 5 fun-filled minutes I had taken it out. A few ghasts were floating around near the bottom (where I couldn't snipe'm), so I decided to leave and regroup at home. Sprinting across the glass bridge, I dealt with a skeleton that somehow got in the tunnel- and suddenly, the stairs rose and I heard that horrible sound of TnT. I only survived because I blocked... and even then, it was close. The adrenaline man.... I'm loving the traps so far, some of the best I've seen.
First trap to really get me, can't wait to see the rest
Update: Walked to the catwalk to check the damage done, immediately fall to my death... I had diamonds boots on me I had enchanted with 30+ levels of mobs kills I had throughout the entire map. I am literally crying blood right now

WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?
Someone read the "Hypochondriac's pocket guide to horrible diseases you probably already have"
don't click this link...
I need more details...
