Hello. I am timetoslide A.K.A Bloo, and here I have my collection of "Rescue the Animals" and "Complete the Monument" maps. I also make [goto=othermaps]other maps[/goto]. Inspired from Vechs' Super Hostile Series. Hope you enjoy! Please comment below and leave suggestions! Plus, looking for LPers and reviews, if you use my map, please do credit me and put a link of this thread in the description or on your thread. If you like the map, please up my reputation at the bottom right of this post, thanks. Concept of RTA (rescue the animals)
Try my new map? Uniform (Mediafire link). It will make you have a mental breakdown.
No looting dispensers (If you play CTM style, this rule is void)
No using mob eggs (If you play CTM style, this rule is void)
Do not go out of the boundaries of the map
You may craft the snow and iron golem
Never play on peaceful, always easy or higher
No client-side mods
You can tame the wolves and ocelots
No breeding animals
You must get squids from the animal dispensers (Unless stated otherwise)
Do not go to The Nether/End unless I have made a portal for you
SPECIAL NOTE: Tame the wolf and ocelot or they will despawn, squids despawn if they are not in water and if they are 16 blocks away from you, to counter this, please just take the Squid Egg and spawn the squid in water at the Herding Zone.
In the case you do not want to escort the animals back, you can play this map the "CTM" method (just take the spawn eggs and get out)
Rescue the Animals (RTA) Objective Rescue all the different animals and lead them to the Herding Zone. You need one of each type of animal to win (Mooshroom, Cow, Sheep, Chicken, Wolf, Ocelot, Pig, Squid, Villager). Use wheat, fishing rods and minecarts to assist you.

Wow, these look absolutely amazing. Timetoslide, I'm a big fan of your CTM series, and this series looks great. I know what I'm talking about, because I make CTM maps too, and I review them. I may download the second one and play it. Best of luck with this series!

Wow, Caliginous Den (according to Chrome, caliginous isn't a word) is tough. For me anyway (maybe I just suck).
Adventures documented in the spoiler.
My death count must be at least 10. I started quite well, took all the gravel in the passage leading to Gravity Gravel. I bridged over to the spire thing with one birch wood on it, dropped gravel down. I take the wood and then I see wooden pressure plates under gravel. I try and take the TNT beneath but of course you used MCEdited 46:1 TNT, which sets off like it did in 1.6.
I tried to pillar back up but the TNT blew and I died.
Came back, tried to drop straight down onto the spire but I died of fall damage. I tried getting to the spire from other points on the cavern wall but the spire was too far away.
I accepted I'd lost the wood and remaining torches from a chest (in the gravel passagway), and instead proceeded to hop along the cavern wall like a ninja. I made it to the next lava pool but I was shot dead by a skeleton because I had no zombie flesh to eat.
Eventually I made it to the next chest, which thankfully had a pick, some sticks and some coal. I gathered half a stack of cobble and bridged out to the second spire and managed to make a crafting bench from that spire's wood. Finally I had a weapon better than a sign.
I saw the exit, bridged over and dropped down. I got the battle-brick-thingy and leather chestplate, although honestly at this point Knockback II isn't really that useful if I have a stone sword that can actually do damage.
I encountered the next pressure-plate trap. I managed to disable it - when gravel is directly on top of a pressure plate, you can break the gravel above and it won't fall. Fix your traps, Bloo!
<-- I break this
<-- this doesn't fall
<-- this doesn't trigger
Anyway I grabbed the chest contents (rotten flesh and a few raw pork, woot!), triggered the TNT and ran. I came out completely unscathed and basically sprinted through the rest of the cave without lighting it.
Intersection I! I blocked up Gravity Gravel - never going there again - and decided to go clockwise in caverns, meaning I went to Cave Carnage first.
Lucky me, wood. I set up a impromptu base - just a crafting bench and double chests, in case I die. I sprint into the cavern, smack up two wood as fast as I can and then sprint straight back out. With wood for sticks I now have a couple of picks, swords, and an axe (a shovel doesn't seem very important at this stage).
I'm currently making a habit of running in and then out again, every time placing some torches and breaking spawners. Every time I also run out with half a heart, which is really risky because I don't have the string for a bed. Meaning if I die I'm back at spawn, aka I'm screwed.
I dig my base a bit bigger and place the one sapling I got down. I don't want to make a huge schmancy base because I want to set up shop at the Herding Zone, which I presume is at the next Intersection.
Next up to do is to get more string for a bow and bed, and make a furnace to cook the few porkchops I have.

It is in fact a word! Use a dictionary (: . Also, read the spoiler!
Thank you for the great playthrough and the trap isnt really supposed to be a trap. Its meant to be like that. I want to make it seem as though the player has not fallen for my trap, then tries to take the TNT, then explodes! Anyway, how is the gameplay? The RTA concept
I cant wait to hear more from you and the playthrough, including pictures!
Well, I finally got around to making the play-through of Caliginous Den. There is also an annotation that takes you to my play-through of the training map.
Hey time, just one question. What code did u type to show the video on the thread but not just the link?Cuz I don't know how to do it.And can u please tell me....btw it's a really nice map u have here but I just failed so hard.I will do some advertising for ur map
Made a furnace to cook up food and charcoal and a bow. With my meager supply of gravel I only have 15 arrows.
I'd almost finished circling around the entire lake with torches. Admittedly I need to fix a lot of the creeper craters (there are tons), and get rid of all the trees to make the place less claustrophobic.
By this point it's pretty obvious that the first animal is up the waterfall thingy (which is gonna be a pain to get it down), so I decide to take care of the blaze spawner in the middle. I wish I had a helmet with Aqua Affinity, because the thing took so god damn long to break with my pick. Eventually I had to surface to stop drowning, and a Blaze instantly got me. Bam, progress on the spawner-breaking lost. At that point it was impossible to break the spawner, and I fled back to the entrance of my pseudo-base (which has no door), and shot down the Blazes with my shiny new bow.
I raided the lake again, this time hopping up ON TOP of the spawner. The spawner had reset its cycle, so I managed to break it without a single other Blaze spawning. Amazing.
Back to base. I stow away the blaze rods so I can make some potion stands later, and spend the rest of the time bonemealing a tree.
Next up is getting those melons and pumpkins before bloody Endermen steal them.
I wouldn't think that it would take you long to complete the map that you made. I'm still looking for the 2nd intersection after about 2-3 hours of play.
Also why is this not more popular yet, this map is quite awesome...once you get past the first part...

Heh, yeah, I'm pretty slow considering I made the map. Also, dont give up. First intersection is probably the hardest one
Should I continue making these types of maps? Or are CTM maps more fun?
I know that I am having fun with it. I'll try to have ep 10 up by tomorrow, had a busy weekend.
And that unnamed map looks interesting so far. Also you may need to advertise it a bit more so that more people notice them and can give their opinions. And you did say that you can play this as a CTM map...
