Thanks, for future versions I am working on a way to make installation MUCH easier.
Also if anyone is even remotely interested. I am hoping to stream a bit whilst doing the map myself over the next few days, as well as my own 1v1 against Tahg from the bukkit team. You can find the stream over at twitchtv/slowpoke101.
Do you have a list of what the transmute table should know? Mine doesn't seem to know anything even though I did rename the data file to have my mc username

define: "Rename the data file"
it should be tablet_<username>.dat
in your case it'll be this: tablet_rondouglas.dat

so as to not use two posts, i'll just shove the quick stats update here:
so far so good, running "stock" with only a couple extra BC addons in place: logistics pipes and the additional pipes (balance pipe, etc..)
have a proper cobble generator up and running after moving the waterfall to it's final home once I got enough for a bucket. Gotta say though, the single player looks a bit easier than the multiplayer version I see direwolf20 and I forget the other person playing.
getting redstone dust was most ineresting. either way I scraped enough together to get a block breaker and a timer. eazy mode cobble aquision achieved.
Yeah. If I felt I could, I would actually remove the 1.1 version now. The new versions are going to be far superior to the current 1.1. The reward system is going to be intergrated into the new SSP maps. I am thinking of adding in an automated extra life system (at least for SMP). The pre loaded Transmute Tablet was always a terrible band aid fix to the problem of getting items like copper and tin into the map, so thats going to be history.
Also the actual mod makers all seem to enjoy the map and their support and ideas for future versions has been invaluable. I know I got off to a shaky start with all this. But I am hoping that the 1.2 versions will be worth the wait, in the meantime be sure to checkout both Direwolf20 and Nearbygamer on youtube as they go through the 1v1 version.

Gah! Direwolf20 is taking too long to upload his videos. Just finished watching Nearby's second video. The pressure of racing is really getting to him. It's kind of funny.
I really like the map they are playing. This single player map seems way too easy. I've already got my first few IC2 machines and solar panels up and running. Iron being in the trans table was a big short cut compared to the way they had to get it. I don't understand why they are bothering with block breakers though, I haven't seen Direwolf's and I am curious, but cobble is so worthless, cutting down a couple trees give far more EMC than letting a block breaker run for an hour.
I can't wait to see what they do next.
And I hope you give us an updated map soon. The reward system seems like a really good way to go.
Sorry for the delay on the reply Epicminer, can you just double check and confirm that you are using the right versions of Advanced machines and Compact solars for me. If you check the readme that came with the download you will find the links. To confirm though, you need versions.
ok for some reason I am having a block ID conflict between forestry and portal gun . should there be a new config update or am I doing somthing wrong ? I should have all the mods that are listed here . Thanks in advance
ok nvm guys , I re-downloaded the file again where the save is and everything is back to working order
This is for all the people that cant read the readme.txt file.
Step 1- download all the core mods and place them in minecraft.jar
Step 2- download all essencial mods and place them in mods folder or where ever it specifys for each mod- mods and install guide here "not by me."
Step 3- download the feed the beast map and config files found in the first page of this thread
Step 4- Unzip the .rar file
Step 5- Place the config files in your .minecraft folder and let it override any files
Step 6- place the map folder "Feed_The_Beast_Final" you downloaded in your Roaming\.minecraft\saves folder
Step 7- go inside the save folder then to data folder and change the tablet_username.dat to whatever your MINECRAFT username is, ex: tablet_shadow77388.dat "not my real username in minecraft unfortunatly."
Step 8- Play the map
Step 9- if anyone is getting any this "Slot XXX is already occupied by" xxx being a number- you either didnt copy the config files to your minecraft folder properly or you have another mod thats messing up your block ids in which case find the mods config and change the slot to an empty one.
i hoped this helped anyone having trouble.
if you guys want me to add anything else here tell me
Map is Intended for Mincraft 1.1
would it be possibly for someone that knows how to install the mods upload a bin folder and a mod folder with them in it so people like me that dont know how to install the mods can play the map?

Rather annoying to semi-constantly hear monster noises from the inside of a place I can't get at.
