I finished "Un-holy Ghost"
I'm happy with what I got from this area :
Blaze rods(Blaze powder/Magma cream)
Sand (Glass/Sandstone)
Brewing stand(I can't make any potions because I lack the netherward, but I can boost the potions I already got)
I'm thinking of doing one of the 2 nether/red area near the starting island, there might be some netherward in one of them.
My base :
This is the work area. I got 6 double chests for my stuff, a crafting table, an enchanting table, a brewing stand, 2 furnaces and my bed. I want to have my working area as compressed as I can to minimize useless movement. I tend to place level 1 enchantments on everything so I don't need bookcases.
Infinite water and sugar canes. Those sugar canes grow so fast, I don't need more than that.
Wheat farm. I used to have a melon farm and a 9*9 wheat farm, but I got an insane amount of bones now, so this setup is more useful to me. Since I use bread for food (And since I have 64 glistering melons), I got rid of the melon farm. Bread > Melons.
My tree farm. It has 25 trees arranged as a 5x5 with 2 blocks between each tree to increase the amount of saplings I get. The dirt pillars on the ceiling is to prevent big trees. The saplings are at eye level to prevent leaves getting in my face. I wouldn't have to do these 2 things if I could find birch trees.
Cow and chicken farm. I got lucky and some mobs managed to naturally spawn in a location with grass. Chickens will guarantee my arrow supplies and the cows will provide tasty steaks if I ever decide to use something better than bread. I didn't make use of them yet, but I rather have them just in case... because I can.
My stuff :
This is my "Life chest". It contain basically everything I need in case I die. I came up with this because when you die, you need to hurry the f*ck up. Also, multiple deaths may occur. This is why it has 3x2 rows of stuff. Basically, it's 3 lives, thus, "Life chest". The items are arranged in a way where I can just shift click everything from right to left and have pretty much everything in its place. The chest is about 8 blocks away from my bed.
This is my health-affecting splash potion chest. Healing, harming and regeneration are in there. There's also 2 strength potions on the bottom left. I don't want to waste them all since I can't make more yet. I usually keep 1-2 potion with me.
This chest contains enchanted stuff I found scattered in the map (And yes, this is really an enchanted mushroom stew you see there). There's also speed splash potions and non-splash potions at the top because the other chest was full.
My block chest. On the left, I keep the useful blocks like wood, cobblestone and even iron now because I have so much of it, it's no longer considered a rare ore. On the right, I keep my building blocks. The bottom is used for tnt and flint & steel. By the way, I didn't make any of that tnt, I found all of it (mostly placed, if not all).
A chest with bones and rotten flesh. Pretty much 95% of that was in chests. I don't even think I'll ever use that rotten flesh since I can get as much bread as there is bones.
This chest contains basically everything else that can stack + a few tools. Rare ores on the right, alchemy stuff at the top, mob drops and materials in the left and tools in the bottom-left.
This chest is divided in 2 : the top is used for arrows and the bottom for food/plants. As I'm writing this, I realize that those feathers should be with the flint :dry.gif: .
If you're wondering, I use a modified version of painterly for my texture pack. I made some edits because there was a few things with some textures that was bothering me.

Holy shizz Avenger your doing really well!
Thanks for the update. It's really interesting to see how your items are accumulating as you progress. I didn't think to ask my original beta testers to keep such close track of that. This is indeed valuable input :smile.gif:
you know that leaf floaty island place will turn quickly into burny not-very leafy floaty island with all those ghasts around? Just did a run to get a sapling..thought I'd got away without anything being set on fire and then my PC ground to a halt until I went on to short settings =/
That's pretty much what happened to me when I tried to get saplings. Fortunately, the destruction of this place allowed me to get a clear view of everything this area had to offer.
-----------------------------------------
5/11 disks!
My progress :
Well, hello there pig spawner, how are you doing today? Me? I just finished the "Mountain of Blood". There wasn't much to get in the landscape other than tons of netherrack, so I guess I'll have to go check the new bedrock triangle area. If it's too evil, I'll go to the other dark area around the starting island.
Umm, this ghast spawner doesn't seem to be able to spawn anything. I guess there's not enough space.
Edit : Nevermind, it does work... but it takes forever sometimes. I have plans for this area...
My base :
This is my humble blaze farm. I basically made an enclosed dark room.
My stuff :
Before using the looting sword.
After using half of the looting sword. :smile.gif:

Yeah, I've gone back and forth on wether or not that was a good idead. Meant to keep you from bridging straight in but, it's backfired on me before. I'm releasing yet another patch for the map tomorrow. As before, If you'd like me to fix your map, give you a second try on the tree, I'd be happy to. Just PM me friend :smile.gif:
Great! I got both channels in the VIDEOS and LPs section :smile.gif: I posted a comment on one of y'all's pages about fixing the map for SMP. I'd be more than happy to do so if you want to post a copy to mediafire or something like that. I could edit and send it back to you. Otherwise, the big glowstone and cyan wool "VF" is the actual spawn. It is correctly centered in a chunk. If you stand on each fence post on the corner of the area and fly straight up using creative mode you can knock out each corner of the chunk in bedrock then knock out everything in between. That should fix the problem :smile.gif:
AAARGGG, MY EYES! IT BURNS! ARRRRRGGGG!
Nevermind, it was just a bad dream... filled with goodies.
Speaking of goodies, I think I'll go check what's under the tree next to the mountain of blood...
My base :
I took advantage of that slow ghast spawner and made a ghast farm out of it. It's just a box around the spawner to made sure they don't float away and to make sure the drops are accessible. Since they can't float away, I can use swords. The fences in the middle is the on/off switch, if I remove them, they start spawning.
My cave spider farm. 3 cave spider spawner next to each others. This farm also doubles as an EXP farm.
My stuff :
The extend of my loot from "Bad dreams" I'll never have to use my tree farm ever again. Mushrooms for the win, not to mention I have access to fermented spider eyes now. Also, all this glowstone is perfect for boosting health potions. Now, if only I could find some netherwart...
The reason for my ghast farm. That sword served its purpose.
The perfect sword for the cave spider farm in my opinion. Hurray for infinite spider eyes.

Oh man! That Ghast farm is BAU555!!!! I'm going to have to try that :biggrin.gif:
I go back to my island..and now, as well as it being dark enough to spawn bad things..it's raining =(
It's like living in Manchester.
It doesn't rain in Manchester. It just lightly mists xD
I don't know why your island would be any darker than before. I didn't change anything other than slappin' down a few signs '_'
Ooo I didn't mean that - it was dark anyway..but now we have rain too, to really give it that Manchester feel =)
Ohhh. Well, good! I thought I was going to have to take your map from you again! I guess I didn't have to open up the ceiling for SMP since you're obviously playing singleplayer but, at least now you're playing the same map that everyone else gets. Barring anymore bugs anyway, ggrrrr bugs!
Awesome! Do you have one of those banners that just advertises you series or channel rather than individual episodes? I'd be happy to put one on the front page for you :smile.gif:
I finished the mountain of the snow golem, the starting island and a sh*tty Christmas. After realizing that I had 5 disks left yet 4 unexplored areas, I decided to investigate below the starting area. I wanted to checking it out since I found that 2x2 hole near the path to the JM. Now I have 2 areas left to explore and 2 disks to find. :cool.gif:
I found the last block (Lapis) in the snow golem area. Now I need to find coal and redstone... and possibly a silk touch pickaxe. If you're curious about the stairs in the background, I made them to bring the animals in my base... from the void below all the way to the bedrock ceiling.
My stuff :
That's the loot from the snow areas. New sapling available : Pine. A couple more diamonds and a ton of snow.
My building block chest. Way more blocks than previously :
I moved the iron, the TNT and the flint & steel in other chests
My material chest. Way more everything than previously :
I moved the string and the tools in another chest.
Hey three_two, just dropping off to let you know that I removed my videos so you might want to take them off the thread for now. I'm gonna be restarting my series on my own later, though.

I do, I upload them as private until my ADs get approved then they go public, but YouTube doesn't take in account the time they were private
Edit: Oh no wait, sorry! That was my browser that glitched and posted the same thing twice.
