Villagers were removed from it in this version. Main reason: They disappear. Same thing happens in pocket edition
So does anyone know where the original versions are?
OK so... thought I had already tried the link labeled Direct Download in the text just under the OPs pic... but apparently not... I DLd it just now... and it gives you 4ps.zip instead of the other fully spelled out versions in the links below it... this one has villagers and seems to be just fine in 1.8.8 and no UW Temples in the distance.
So, I found this map thanks to LazerLord10's Timelapse via YouTube (which I still think is awesome) and boredom (which is not-so awesome) and I happen to love the idea behind it. That said, it doesn't look like it's been updated in a little over two years resulting in a couple bugs with the villagers and a couple of the "newer" versions have useful items (such as a second water source-block to create infinite water pre 1.9 and rain filling cauldrons) being in either unintuitive places (such as said water source block being an Ice block in a chest in the nether) or wholly non-existant (such as different types of trees to use for decoration).
I Did find a couple workarounds for the villagers either disappearing or breaking the game (I.E. no-trades/chunks with villagers in them not saving when you close and re-open the map), mostly involving judicious use of MCEdit. The problems with the villagers seem to come from a coding conflict between the Item ID's and Meta-Data for what they're buying and selling in addition to trying to take the new career system into account, so importing them into a game that's already started seems to work... but it's finicky unless you get it right the first time, so make backups if you try going this route.
So-far, I've managed to get to all of the pillars, breaking down all of them except the Obsidian Pillar, and about half of the Nether for Glowstone and Quartz. The general theme I'm going for for this game is a kind of "Magic Academy" suspended over the void. Each Pillar represents one of the four Elements (Wind/Fire/Water/Earth) while the central area is going to be more the academy proper with a HUGE tower going pretty much to the build-limit (haven't gotten there yet). I've only finished the (Fire Tower" so far (See Images Spoiler-tagged below), but I'm making steady progress.
(Please ignore the resource pack incongruity. I was using Chroma Hills, but have since switched back to Lithos because it's Fully updated to 1.9 compatibility. Shaders are, of course, SEUS 10.1)
The Completed Tower:
The Top Chamber:
The View from the Top (The Platform on the other side is going to be the base for the "Earth" tower/Giant Tree-thingy):
The Inverted Dome Under the Fire Tower has my cobble generator, the current location of my main storeroom (I want to move it to the central area once I finish the foundation, and then rig it up with an auto-sorter) and a reasonably productive Iron Farm (because I like automated Item transportation and hoppers use a Ton of Iron). while the upper area is mostly decoration to cover up my Mob-dropper/XP-farm.
A Side benefit of this is that I now have a fully-functional more or less mob-proof village tucked away, and I have a few Clerics shuffling around down there, so between them and the witches dropping from above I've got more or less renewable sources of Iron, Lapis, Redstone and Glowstone Dust
So all this got me thinking, would there be anything else I could use more of... For instance, between the main tower and the Wind tower I expect to use a Ton of quartz, and for the Wind Pillar I'd also like to build most of it out of Sandstone, but the main game doesn't really give you all that much sand to work with...
One thing lead to another and Today I found myself fiddling with Command Blocks in a test world to spawn in custom villagers. I'm trying to Update/re-configure the map to fit better with 1.9. So far I've Imported the main map into a "Void" Superflat using MCEdit, including clearing and importing the Nether Pillars and Chests; Re-configured and updated the items and Spawn Eggs in the chests (both on the overworld and In the Nether) to get rid of any lingering ID and Metadata Conflicts; Slightly reconfigured the block composition of one Pillar in the Nether and the Ore Pillar (both using MCEdit), and completely Re-done the Custom Villager Trades.
Villager trades now include things such as Sand, Red Sand, Dirt, Granite, Diorite, Andersite and Packed Ice, in addition to a few others. Basic trades for things like mob-drops have been re-configured to be more in-line with Vanilla Villager Emerald Conversion prices which makes most of the more useful things almost prohibitively expensive (Dirt converts at a cost of 64 Cobblestone Plus 32 Emeralds for a stack of 16). Also, since this has been ported into a Superflat, there are no more Undersea Monuments, so one of the villagers converts items for Prismarine Shards and Undersea Lanterns.
Conversely, Villagers no longer buy Cobblestone or Obsidian for large amounts of emeralds, so emeralds will be harder to obtain in bulk, and Spawn Eggs are no longer for sale as well, but have been placed in the chests around the map.
And finally, though I haven't actually done this yet, is that I plan on tweaking the Biomes surrounding the pillars to make different kinds of flowers available via bonemealing grass.
The only thing I haven't really been able to do anything with is the End. With the ability to re-spawn the Dragon now that 1.9 is out any changes made to pillar placement would be rendered null when they re-constitute with it, so I haven't bothered. I consider having access to the Newly-expanded End to be an end-game consolation, seeing as the only way out is either through the exit portal which takes you back to your spawn point, or to die, which also takes you back to your spawn point.
All of this Said, What I'm wondering is if the OP would mind either looking over what I've done once I've finished and possibly uploading it (The only credit I would claim would be for the tweaks I've made), or if I could Upload it myself. I don't really feel comfortable with the latter without asking first, seeing as this wasn't originally my map-challenge.
when i try to play this in 1.8 or later updates, the end is like it would be in a regular minecraft world, but when i try to play it in 7.10 or earlier, the game crashes (the second thing happens with other worlds too) have any suggestions about getting the 4 pillar end?

Side note, the pocket edition version just hit 200+ downloads.

Well, this map is now ancient, but I wanted to give it a go. New updates will be sporadic, but here's what I've got so far.
I'm going to be uploading some videos soon, maybe after i get a new microphone

Could you add this to a Mojang Realm?
the tree is not growing and if I'm on 1.7 the game crashes everytime
