Great Map! Did this for about 8 hours with me and a couple friends! Lots of hidden treasures, lots of stuff to explore. The Challenges keep you going, and the quests you do randomly. All in all, one of the best survival maps I've done in a while.
I took a break from this map for a while, now I'm back doing the Elite Challenges. I need help on one of them though. Where do I find the body of the last curator?
I see no reason why the map shouldnt work with 1.0
Ive been busy with work getting close to christmas but i have finished up for the year now. So i will be back to continue this series. Im glad to see its still doing so well.

Just stop. You've developed what is (In my opinion) the best survival map EVER, not only shattering my expectations and dreams, but you've also designed it so I can use my yogbox AND Jolicraft with it?

You, sir, are an amazing man (Or woman?)
Man, Im glad you enjoyed it. I havnt had a chance to give it to much support over the past few weeks (lolskryim). Due to the nature of gameplay it is hard to bring out updates or expansions. I mean nobody wants to start from scratch.
Im on Christmas break and have lots of extra time on my hands. Unfortunately my time wont be going into this map.
It will be going into the sequel. Stay tuned for the official announcement of the next completely refined, hand crafted adventure in the Castaway Map series.

"Dead, is the man who doesent play. Alive is the lion who can hunt its prey." Bambo758 2011 Minecraft is the same way. Dont ask me to explain why.
Castaway was one of my favorite movies, and I really like this map, especially Boris...I think It helps you to get into it. I really grew attached to him, and became proud of the new life I'd created since that crash. Anyway, I've completed some medium quests and hard challenges(really liked the trade boat), and I noticed I hadn't build the memorial yet. I was kind of glad, since I'd become immersed in the narrative and I had the resources to build more than a simple wooden cross in the sand.
I used stone bricks from the trade ship(along with some made from stone taken from the mountain on castaway island, and smelted with lava from the lava cavern, in a furnace and crafting table facing towards the sunset, on the castaway cove(another completed objective).
On the left, a wall with a message, and on the right, a willow sapling, and in the middle, a fountain made with the reward from the first quest I did.
Here's a picture, with a closeup of the wall. Anyway, like I said, I got immersed in the narrative; you did an extraordinary job. Thank you for making this map.

Memorial Pictures:
What a beautiful memorial. Its so interesting to see how many different ways there are to play this. Some people get right into it and just loose themself. Others take on a less serious approch.
Thankyou for showing me this. Stay tuned for the next adventure. Its in the process of being developed. This time with a team of about 2-3 and lots of pre-planning, drafting, even sketches for ideas. I feel ive found a small gem with Castaway Island but my delivery was rushed and it was a spontaneous creation.
The next map will be much more planned and deliberate in design. Also, allot of people complained that it wasnt really a survival map as reasources are plentiful...
Things are going to be vastly different in 'Castaway Oasis'
