Im deciding an important thing, i think the map will be made to be played with normal minecraft, not AC. AC is hard to use, and if i want to learn how to use it and be sure that the map will be succesful, the release date would be like for january 2012, i prefer normal minecraft since its easier, faster and with all the 1.9 and 1.8 changes, it will be awesome. Although, Flatham will need a few mods, book mod and zombe mod pack, only those 2. HOWEVER, as said before, im still deciding to continue with AC or move to minecraft.
What were you struggling with specifically? I know it comes down to personal preferences, but AC has to be at least 100x easier to build maps.
Every mod that you listed in your post could be easily done in Adventurecraft with minimal effort. Books? Ha! Easy. Teleportation? Easy. Dialogue and conversations? Easy.
Make a list of things that you would need for Adventurecraft and I'm betting that I could find some javascript that someone has already done. Either that, or you could just request some :biggrin.gif:

AC is hard to script, problem 1, and i also dont know java or AC coding, problem 2, no useful commands, i think that is the hardest part, and again, script is very hard, i COULD do it on AC, but since im a noob at it, it would be released like at february (2012) or even later.

I'm exited, although I was kinda hoping this was going to be somewhat like Shivering Isles. That expansion was insane. (quite literally) But still, I guess it's good you didn't because you don't want to copy everything. :biggrin.gif: I am very exited indeed!
My friend actually told me not to try shiv isles cus its just too crazy, he said he couldnt play normally there xDDD

Ill wait for skyrim and see if any1s gonna start a minecraft adv skyrim map? Wow that would be awesome :smile.gif: When modders get the full api and stuff, i hope they will be able to give a lot more functions to mc ^^
lolo you should make it a bit like DLC for Aramis by doing this: in the original map (Aramis in this case) at the entrance to the dlc say a boat you could have a chest full of every single item encounterd in the dlc and you could make it so when they load the other map at the start there will be a chest with every item so they can give themselves their Aramis inventory and when they go back to Aramis map they could change their inventory to their dlc inventory so it will be like the fallout DLC stuff how you keep your crap and can comeback with the crap you got on your travels. Can i help build? i know you probably want to do solo (because of mods) but i would like to contribute like say i might make a shack or an easter egg or in a crap shack there could be an enterance to a GI ****IN NORMOUS UNDERGROUND mansion or a CITY or a....let me think.... A GIANT ****IN NUCLEAR SILO

Wurstknifes isn't dead. It updates quite alot, it just hasn't got to 1.8.1 yet, but alot of other mods still haven't (it's a big update, after all). It also allows double pages and pictures.
Could you link me to Shockah's book mod though? I would like to take a look at it.
I'm really looking forward to Flatham. I can't play Aramis properly as I'm unwilling to downgrade, and the size of the map + all the mods makes my computer lag badly. So, if Flatham uses less mods and is smaller, I'll be able to play it!
A book mod would be pretty neat if included, and that new "Simple NPC" mod would work really well with the maps you create. May I also recommend Mobs for Mace? It's an npc mod simmiliar to Humans+ and RPGMobs, but it's alot more simple and doesn't add any items, so conflicts are less likely. It adds in humans who are more like civillians, two types of ghost, rogues and little goblins called Grubmen. Dwarves are also planned for a future update (perhaps the crazed Dwarves from RPGMobs/in the regions in Aramis could be outcasts from the main Dwarf civillisation on Flatham?).
While building this on Core MC is a good idea, I would love to see you go back to AC sometime in the future. You don't actually need loads of scripts to make a good map. You can do some really cool stuff with the debug blocks and tools available. The best idea is probably to make most of the map using what's already in the game, maybe editing some textures and item names, and then asking for help with scripts.
An adventurecraft map might be done but in the future.

Reember that Simple NPC mod? There are gonna be quest givers. Plus, they may be able to give out a redstone charge, to open doors and such.

Amazing mod, i made a few questions to the creator, when he replies, ill report if i will use the mod or not.
