The pictures and the video look really impressive. I'll have a go at it for sure.
You will not be disappointed, I am betatesting it at the moment and never had so much fun on any other map, if you are into rpg then this is definitely a map for you.
A short overview for anyone who's interested in the story (I hope I am allowed to post thi).
"You are a survivor of a boat crash who was rescued and brought to a small hideout near where the ship sunk. Unfortunately your savior had to leave due to other duties but left you with some stuff you need to survive in the wilderness. So your journey begins.
After a small boattrip including the first sidequest you arrive at the awesome looking mountain village called Skyden. You realize that this is not an ordinary village only by looking at the huge tree which seems to provide the town with the power of nature. All of the towns volk have disappeared and you're occasionally left with notes that tell the story of individual citizens. Some of them are hints to quests which you can solve to get extra diamonds or useful items.
After a while you get to the main quest which tells the story of the huge tree that slowly dies due to the powers of evil taking over. Your quest basically is to stop the evil of taking over by lighting up the signal towers across the land to tell your allies you're in trouble (lotr says hello =D ).
Of course you cant just walk form tower to tower without completing a lot of side quests such as unlocking doors to get to the next quest, fight in several beautiful dungeons for treasure or material you need to continue, and much much more."
Of what I've seen so far, this map contains some of the most astonishing buildings and locations I've ever seen in minecraft, and I really do look forward to play the final version of it.
Alright I played for more than an hour now and Can give some feedback. I only got to Wasserfallen so far and am going to begin my journey into the pyramid soon I guess. So far theres only one negative point I've come across, but a lot more positive!
Positive:
- Stunning locations
- Very detailed landscape and towns
- Awesome notes you've made, had to laugh a few times :biggrin.gif:
- Intense mobfights in some areas :ohmy.gif:
- Very good balance between free exploring and guidance through notes & signs.
Negative:
- Sometimes theres unused space where I think you could add additional stuff to interact with.
very fun, a little too much loot for me to carry, cant decide what to toss, and i only took one row from checkpoint chests, just a lot of stuff in building. its fun though! :smile.gif:
I've noticed a small issue already, and it's just a cosmetic one, since it does not really bother me per-say, but there are trees, along the "River that have spawned in,under, and over the water itself...
One issue on my end is that I must play it on peaceful for the time being, as the rain is already making the LSOD twice as bad, and mobs have been known to crash me out on this PC...

I would like to make a LP once it is out.
Hopefully I'll be able to work a bit more on it now since the spc update has been released, then I'll be able to release the map this weekend.
You'll receive the map + additional files tomorrow night by pm.
Release date will hopefully be this friday night/saturday morning.
Im a native English speaker, and I would love to check it for you and be a bata tester :smile.gif:
