Does anyone know how I could go about contacting Noobcrew? I just want to ask him if I could mcedit away some more of the mainland. It's only my single player map so if I really wanted to I suppose I could just do it. But if some time in the future I want to share my map with other people I'd like to have had his permission to ...make the sky bigger lol . I don't want anyone to ever say "omg you edited the map. I shun thee!" Know what I mean?

I would recommend perhaps logging into the SkyBlock server where he occasionally hangs out. The problem is that he is a celebrity there and tends to get bombarded with requests while he is on that server... to the point he often doesn't respond. This thread in particular is something he has very seldom made any sort of response, not to mention he seldom if ever responds to personal messages on any of his accounts.
You might get lucky, and a well formed request will be answered. I wouldn't hold my breath on that though and be prepared for no response at all.
I'll also note that there are numerous "copies" of the basic SkyBlock map, many of which have tried to improve on it in some way or another. Just going through the various threads of the maps sub-forum is likely going to show you many of them.
HA!
I had a feeling I'd get a response from you.
I had another feeling that that's the answer I was going to get. I didn't exactly have high hopes of hearing back from him, especially not on this thread, so I haven't bothered trying to contact him myself. Though, on the off chance that someone close to him sees this, it is possible.
And I'm not interested in a "copy" or a "knockoff." I just like playing Skyblock. "The" Skyblock. That's why I wanted his approval to remove more mainland because if I did it myself it may no longer feel like "The" Skyblock unless he personally approves.
I was messing around with portals in the Nether and, uhm... :/ apparently my Fortress area is so far that...well...guess where the newly generated Overworld portal is? I don't even want to say it, it feels dirty. I'll just say that it doesn't put me in the sky lmao!
I had this bug while when I die in skyblock I respawn in the void and die agian. I had to cheat and setpawnpoint on the island so I would respawn on it. Is it a known bug?

It's not a bug per-se. Minecraft doesn't let you respawn in a specific place unless you've slept in a bed. It picks a random point in about a 20 meter area around the "spawn point" and puts you there. Sadly, most of the time in this map that means you're floating in midair.

I have a hack that I've put together just for the Skyblock (and related) maps to try and fix this issue:
It just changes one class that most other mods don't touch, so if you don't mind using a mod, this can help fix the spawn point so you don't go falling into the void repeatedly upon death.
Mojang has a "fix" that seems to be planned for something like this, but unfortunately it hasn't been a priority for Dinnerbone to complete that fix. Right now the spawn radius is a fixed constant in yet another class that seems to indicate it may eventually be something you can change (hence "fix" for the SkyBlock map) with just a configuration change by setting that spawn radius to zero. In the meantime, I have just disabled that random placement for those who want to go that route.
Noobcrew has a link to this fix on the original post for this thread, although that link is buried in the middle of the post. 5thHorseman's solution also works very well, although it does require that you spawn some sheep to make the bed.
it does require that you spawn some sheep to make the bed.
Or kill spiders for string!
So here's my Nether Fortress gravity trap. It's super inefficient and doesn't yield nearly as much coal as I was hoping for. I had to design this thing around the fact that Blazes are a pain in my ass! It would be so easy to just push the 3-block tall wither skeletons to a trap and let everything else fall in the void but I want gold too (for rail systems).
I'm probably going to build a new trap; that is if I don't go insane first. I've spent way too much time trying to improve on it. The very few designs I could find that I like require resources I don't have, or are so redstone-technical it may not be worth tackling.
I suppose I could make 2 different traps at 2 different Fortresses. But that would require I find another Fortress which is a pain to begin with. Then there's the fact that I can't afk both!
19) Build 10 bookcases. (As of Minecraft 1.3, crafting bookcases is only possible if cows spawn on your island)
I have some idea of this; put two 'spawn egg'(cow, pig, chicken) at nether island chest.
Then you can make more challenge such as 'make a cake' 'bake 10 porkchop' etc.

You can get animals by making a plot of grass 24 or more blocks from your main living area. They'll spawn there in daylight like monsters will spawn in darkness. So you can get all of these things.
Yeah, there's a block of sand about 64 blocks away with a chest and (unless an Enderman stole it) a cactus.
I won't spoil what's in the chest but it's critical to beating this map.

Rejected by girls and the world generation
Cool, thanks! Hrm, if it's a block of sand, I wonder if it fell down?
ETA, nevermind. I was playing version 1.1, not 2.1. And so it goes.
So many animals! And those slimes are slowing down my mob spawns. Gotta do something about that.
WOW, You are awesome 1+ Rep
Hey, thanks for the reply! And thanks for the rep.
Oh, much thanks
I only want to delete more mainland is all
