It works now. Thanks. I am stuck on Cannon Fire. Can you do a spoiler for me. I think I have blown up most or all spawners.
Excellent!!
did you find your way into the blimp? there is a chest and sign in there. If for some reason you blew it up, look on the ground for a vacant lot - either way, you can read 'cannon fire (complete) if the blimp is gone.
deffinetly the best adventure map ever made, i would be ecstatic if you ever made a second one
:biggrin.gif:
Thanks. I have a rough plan for a sequel, or maybe a prequel.
What would you be more interested in:
Solo story (like most adv maps) or group story where your character changes with each scene, like this one?
Play as heroes or villains?
Sequel or prequel?
You might have to just email them. That's what I did. There are a lot of maps out there and sometimes you have to spotlight your own work. It's borderline pushy, but I think this map is worth the extra push. I'd prefer to think of it as self-promotional and marketing. :wink.gif: Good luck and I hope they play it.
Thanks (and to wiz). I twittered, emailed, reddited, and posted on yogscast forums. I don't want to turn them off by spamming. I know they are aware of my Wonderland map, so i guess they forgot about it or didn't have time to play, or weren't interested. I have no idea if they have seen any of my 4 other maps, but they are good quality and have ample room for Yogscast style hilarity.
That said, Wonderland is finally getting a little community notice thanks to 2girls1minecraft, and Clue was just featured by xxSlyFoxHoundxx. So maybe i will let Fear and Superheroes germinate a while before i put out my next one.

I found a sign that says "Have you already been in the pig's zeppelin"? What does that mean.
LOL. Another problem. I still have one redstone torch on the map thats still lit. But I think I have finished all the missions. It's the torch between Ottawa City and Mexico city... which one is it
That has to be "Road Rage" at Golden Gate Bridge. And you know when you're putting the torch out, don't you?
I'm eager to hear what it's like to be a Superhero! :smile.gif:
Fellonius, the forever vigilante...
I have in fact finished "Road Rage". hmm... and I don't know when I put out the torch actually. So I might have actually finished all missions, but just missed a step in "Road rage"

EDIT: I didnt do Luna. Now I finished.
I hope you enjoyed it - thank you for sticking with it thru some stickiness with the mod. Please let me know what you thought!

Oh sorry for not commenting. I forgot! It was great, in fact it was amazing. I saw this mod through Fellonius the Wizard's thread and he gave it a really high score. Not sure if it was 10/10. But I got to give it a 10/10 or at least a 9.5/10 (due to the mod difficulty and level)... Some instructions were a bit unclear for me, but I thought it was great.
Instructions that was unclear & What I Liked/Disliked: SPOILERS

These could just be me.
1) For "Luna", I wasn't sure where to plant the TNT. At first, I thought just plant it anywhere randomly.
2) Make a clear instruction on which rooms are the missions. (Ground floor) (I thought upstairs had something at first, and I cheated and broke in (thinking that I was meant to go in for some reason.)
3) Make a sign going towards Luna (if you did, I didn't see it. Sorry)
4) Take out the armor from the Sidekick's Lounge (Because people could use them for missions.)
What I Liked:
1) Everything.
2) The map itself was great.
3) The /goto stuff, and how it all linked up.
4) The text files and images and diagrams in the folder.

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback. I have a feeling you played on the first version. I hope I have addressed the notes issues in later versions (mostly thanks to Fellonious).
For now, the sequel is several months away. I am gathering ideas. But you can find my other maps if you follow my banner signature.
Right now, I'm actively working on a map that I intend to finish sometime around 1.8 (but as I have no idea when that will be, I'm hoping end of August maybe). I also have 2 other fairly strong ideas that I'm prototyping. Not sure which one is going to get my focus, so I've only given them code names for now.

First version? No. I don't think so. I just downloaded this map like 2 or 3 days ago. And I am excited for your maps. They are huge and very detailed.
Which one of your map should I look at? Or just look at the self-rated scores.
I put the folder in the saves file but its not showing up. What an i doing wrong?
EDIT: Ive got it fixed now but the /thru command isnt working for me and i do have ssp commands. Any other command i can do?
Hey rsmalec, my son and I played this map the other night and we really enjoyed it. It's a very imaginative map with a lot of interesting ideas, and creative use of the SPC mod. The space mission was probably my favorite location, just awesome.
I do have to say that the way the mod is used could be improved, as it is very wonky to have to type in the commands all the time, particularly when trying to feel a sense of action or tension, my son found it too frustrating on some missions (he mainly wanted to fly around after a while). I think you need to take advantage of the macros, aliases and binds possible with SPC, and write a custom config file that bind the powers to keys for each hero. I was messing around with SPC but haven't got a good example working yet but the idea goes like this:
Create setup macro
This is the main routine which configures all the heroes. The player runs this command at the start of the adventure to enable the heroes: /macro superheroes
[superheroes.txt] alias albarel /macro albarel
alias algid /macro algid
alias honeydew /macro honeydew
etc.
This will create one-word commands to activate the powers of each hero and deactivate other powers. It should also include a reset command like - alias nopowers /macro nopowers
Create hero macros
Each hero has their own macro.txt file which activates/binds their powers to keys and deactivates/unbinds any other hero powers. Now, because of the previous setup, we can switch heroes by entering their name and activate their powers with a keypress. Typing /honeydew will now call this macro:
[e.g.: honeydew.txt] bind z /cannon
bind x /cannon 2
bind c /jump
unbind [any other buttons -- Algid or B.Xephyr have the most powers to unbind]
And we have assigned his powers to the Z, X and C keys.
Note that I haven't actually gotten this working yet , but I just started fiddling about with it. Simo should be able to help too, I've posted a question about it in the thread and it should be possible. Using these kinds of scripts you could make the mod fairly transparent and minimize the command entry which takes you out of the action.
e: Got it! Hadn't read enough of the change notes You bind the explicit key now, not the keycode. Haha try: bind e /cannon and now press "E". Too fun! I'm going to try to write the configs for each hero now.
e2: SPC is finnicky about what keys you can bind to, but the bottom row of Z-M seems to work and the "," key can be bound with /bindid 51 instead (Blue Xephyr actually has most keys at 8 powers). This totally works -- superpowers at a keystroke and almost no text entry to play except for setup, hero selection and waypoints! I'll post the configs once I've got it all tested.
Okay I've created this set of macros which will let you easily switch between Heroes and binds their powers to the bottom row of keys each time you change.
You must have Single Player Commands installed for this to work (so easy!).
Quickly switch between Heroes! Superpowers at a keystroke! SUPERHEROES Controls v1
1. Extract all the included .txt files into your \.minecraft\mods\sppcommands\macros folder.
2. Load up the Superheroes map, press T to open the command line and type "/macro superheroes" (no quotes) to enable the Heroes.
3. Now to switch between Heroes, simply type the name of the Hero you wish to select into the command line!
e.g.: albarel will activate Albarel's powers. See instructions for complete list of commands.
Your powers will be bound to the bottom row of keys, starting from "Z". You will still need to follow the instructions provided with the game and enter the /goto command to access waypoints, otherwise no further command entry should be required!
Nothing else may be bound to the bottom row of keys. If you need to change the binds, simply edit the macro.txt files for each hero to taste. Note that SPC is very finnicky about how certain keys are bound, have fun learning about that. :wink.gif:
One last thing, Heroes whose powers toggle (Top Notch, Mindcraft & Uppercut) must turn their powers off before switching or the powers will remain active and need to be turned off manually. Remember you can turn off all powers at once by entering the command "reset".
You can also remove all powers by typing "nopowers" and "reset" will turn off any latent effects like fly.
As a bonus, if you are somewhat familiar with SPC, it is now very easy to create your own Heroes by following the template provided! I may or may not have included a secret Hero character of my own... *cough*"Noonan"*cough*. :biggrin.gif:
See the included readme.txt for full documentation and key assignments.
Feel free to mirror at your favorite hosting service.
I think this could be improved in minor ways with future releases of SPC but it works pretty solidly for all intents and purposes, just follow the simple instructions.
* Please note that I arranged Blue Xephyr's creation powers in what I felt was an intuitive manner -- blocks from simple to exotic and items from lightest to heaviest.
I put the folder in the saves file but its not showing up. What an i doing wrong?
EDIT: Ive got it fixed now but the /thru command isnt working for me and i do have ssp commands. Any other command i can do?
It is most likely because you need to put WorldEdit.jar in the same directory as Minecraft.jar (.../.minecraft/bin). Don't put it IN minecraft.jar

Excellent idea. I have never played around with macros or binding keys, this is good stuff!

I saw someone post on Simo's forum that reset didn't always turn everything off.
By the way - I know you started using SPC for map-making... have you installed the WorldEdit GUI? If you're using selection and //replace and such it is a must-have.
Excellent!!
