Ver 1.9 (Zone A ) (Spawn in Zone A ) Ver 1.9 (Zone B ) (Spawn in Zone B )
Challenge 11 is coming soon! I will released within 3 or 4 days. It will a crazy tour in a crazy laboratory, not so much parkour. It is going to be either 'Easy' or 'Normal'. I need more feedbacks please (so far nobody have reported any bugs, which is good :biggrin.gif:). BUMP
What are your plans for the nether gate? are you gonna do a challenge in the nether? Awesome updates btw
Yup, there will be a Nether challenge in the future, using the new items in Beta 1.9. Right now, I wanted to build all the challenges in Zone B. If I have built 16 challenges in my map, I will build the Nether course.

This map may take more than 3 hours to complete (for most people without cheating).
The checkpoint door lever at the start of 9-4 can be easily reached from 9-3. Btw the insane lab is EPIC, how did you come up with it all. Must take you ages to build, I built 2 small maps which took hours, this must have taken a ridiculous amount of time overall.
Hmm, I think my ears are still bleeding from the Laboratory
EDIT: Are the Golden Heights haunted, I keep hearing occasional footsteps in it but there are no mobs around bar squid.
I take about 4 days to build Challenge 11, including sleeping time and rest time. If you exclude the resting time, it is about 10 hours with testing. I started building it immediately after I released Challenge 10.
No, Golden Heights is not haunted. It is probably because of the squids that spawned in the water - they swam against the gold blocks, making the sound of the footsteps.
I like the challenges' variety, you've done a fantastic job with them.
Golden Heights is my favorite challenge, especially stage 9-14.
I wonder, since I've played the map my first time (that was version 1.9) the sheep that spawned were always lime coloured (unless spawned with SPC). Now, with 2.0, they spawn purple also, how did you do that? :ohmy.gif:
Also, can't wait for future updates :wink.gif:
Keep up the awesome work!
I spawned 3 sheeps in Version 1.9 using SPC mod, then dye them lime. Similarly, I spawned 1 sheep in Ver 2.0 and dye them purple. I was just putting some random things into my map. :tongue.gif:
Lol, I thought I had seen more than 3, must be me then. They definately add something to the map.
About challenge 12, I like the looks already!
But one question; do you (please) include a zen garden to calm down? (or is that japanese?) :wink.gif:
Becouse then I will spend much time there, mostly after a stage with pistons. xD
Challenge 12 is Chinatown. It is a heritage site. That big space in the picture will be a wet market. If you want to relax, you can always go to Challenge 2. I will build another garden challenges in the future (Challenge 18 - Chinese Garden)

I've been downloading constantly since Challenge 6, and I have to say I love this map! I had never realized just how capable a jumper Steve is. I chuckle a little when I'm presented with natural parkour in regular maps-- epicly jumping over ravines and stuff like that. I'll give you my feedback on the challenges so far:
1: Very good for a beginner! I would take down the sign in 1-1, though, since some people find "you suck" offensive.
2: No complaints! A solid course, I like the stages best when they're seamlessly incorporated into something realistic.
3: Argh. I hated this challenge. Not because of the design, because it was SO FRUSTRATING.
4: No major complaints here either, though 4-8 is a little mean.
5: This should be extreme difficulty. I can't get more than a few minutes in before ragequitting.
6: HATE HATE HATE HATE. I got so tired of the bookstore I set the shelves on fire and blew up the building. Sorry.
7: I liked bits of this and hated the others. For the glass maze, I'd like some kind of indication of where to start, maybe a glowstone block where you make your first jump from? Finding your way would still be challenging, but I spent 20 minutes trying to find the starting point, then smashed my way through to the roller coaster.
And the Launcher. THE LAUNCHER. It'd be nice if there was a sort of half-checkpoint, like a secret ladder shaft that goes from the bottom to the halfway point.
8: My favorite by far. You walk into the room, go "There can't be a parkour course hidden in that mess!" then try it out and see how well it blends in. It was challenging without being ridiculously frustrating.
9: Second favorite. There were some legitimately thrilling jumps in there.
10: Very good also! I liked the adventure portion, it added some life to the course.
11: I liked this one too, even though it was short. but the part with the wolves is just sad. I removed the you-know-what from the reactor when I realized what the switch was going to do.
I don't know if you're still taking ideas for courses, but an NPC village course would be really cool--climbing a watchtower, jumping on roofs, etc. A forest course would also be cool.
Keep up the good work!

Thanks for your feedbacks! I will remove the sign in Challenge 1. I may change the difficulty for Challenge 5 to Extreme if many people wants it to. I am still taking ideas, everyone is welcome to give ideas.
Wow, you just made me more interested in future updates.
I thought 16 was the last one you were going to make (excluding the nether course(s)).
Are you open for ideas for future challenges? Or are they all reserved?
About the existing ones, I'm inspired by challenge 7 to build a big theme park, and to actually finish it as most of my projects end up half-completed. Thanks for that :biggrin.gif:
No, Challenge 16 is the last challenge in Zone B. I am planning to have 8 challenges in each zone. So for Challenge 18 it will be in Zone C. Yes, I am still open for ideas, some challenges are reserved.

But its lagging :dry.gif:

Thanks! I don't know how to fix the lag. Maybe it is because the map is very big.

EPIC!
I love japanese architecture

Actually, it is a Chinese architecture. I guess both architecture are similar.
