I made the basic knights wear chainmail, and the royal knights have shiny, gold armor! :biggrin.gif:
The third one is perfect, the other two need one minor change, and that is that the colors need to be a little bit darker. The colors are just a bit too bright, but the overall design and theme is perfect!
Oh, I'll start on 3 different Eskimos now! :smile.gif:
Sounds good. If you'd like to keep these are your creations, then feel free to PM them to me.
If you'd like to make them open (like nearly everything I'm doing is), then continue posting them here.
EDIT: If you would like to contribute to the project, then I will make you a personalized banner if you would like. The banner would look like mine, but have your name and your contribution listed. This is totally optional, and I'm not expecting you to use the signature. Its just my way of showing thanks!
I noticed how only one script is set for the config.
how did you get scripts such as "quiver onupdate" to work?
Do you use script blocks?
Or does the game automaticly see that it is for the quiver and that it needs to run every update?

You can only set one script for OnUpdate and OnLoad in the config. So, I use script blocks in a hidden room that can't be accessed by the player, and use redstone triggers and levers to toggle the scripts "on" for every release. That way, I'm not forced to have certain things in certain slots and a few other things so that I can work on the map, but still easily enable all of the necessary features when I put up a release. The Config ones are just ones that HAVE to be there, such as getting the players inventory and UI info.
Photobucket is screwing with me. My banner and screenshots keep appearing then disappearing, even though I have a pro account. Sorry for the inconvenience. I really need a "Let's Play".
I can put a preview of the banner up tonight. It'll probably have "kenmario - Graphic Artist" on the the left side instead of the "click to download" text.
EDIT: Gary520 keeps checking this thread. I wonder if he is just checking to see if I removed "his" (I don't know if I believe them, as I see them on websites that host character skins lol) NPCs from the download, or if he is scared that he will have to step up in terms of map quality and exploration. Gary, if you read this, the whole point of my map is to do a Zelda themed map in the correct manner, which would be an open world RPG. Your map, while fun and awesome, is not a true Zelda map. As such, I'm disappointed by the title of your map, and hope that you will rename it to "No-story Adventure", or maybe even "Gary520 Adventure"! These titles would be less misleading :tongue.gif:

Okay thankyou for your help
Making scripts toggleable is a very nice Idea and should help me organise my scripts for my map.
I have all of my scripts currently in one script file.
You have been a great help and what I have played of your map so far is unique and well made.
I hope to see you do well in the future.
one final thing. do you have any tips for sucsessfuly walling off areas in which you do not want people to go. I find doing it by hand takes a very long time.

Visit the wiki here. This should have the information you need so that you can make your own heightmap (which forms my play area boundaries, and I fill in the gaps with clip blocks). You can copy clip blocks across an area by using the cursor and hammer tools by right clicking. If you know how to do these two things you should know everything I know about walling a player in the play area :smile.gif:
Huh thats odd! That sounds like an AC issue, not a map issue. I'll see what I can do about this. Thanks for the report.
I could help you with this one I hope.
Ive seen it done before.
unfortunatly it dosn't stop the painting from being destroyed but you can do a script to consume and unwanted picked up items. such as paintings, sand or gravel.(due to the glitch where they fall on torches ect.)

its consume.item(//item id) I think.
Thanks! I should be able to add this pretty quickly. It will help, but in the meantime I would encourage players to not swing your sword or anything else at windows or paintings (as they are both, in reality, paintings anyway). You don't want ugly undecorated homes/buildings, do you??
Right, completed the latest version (again) and even more flawless-ness. I'm being honest here, this isn't completed, and it's somewhat better than Zelda adventure. Zelda adventure, whilst it may have good everything (a basic zelda game), didn't have that spice. It just wasn't fun enough. On the other hand, this map puts the 'I' in Spice! (Don't know if that makes sense, but, there you go. :tongue.gif:)

Thanks for the review! I can't wait to release v.02 and the next dungeon and area. Although I most excited for everything up to the critical turning point (its a secret, but happens after all three dungeons have been completed) and to see what you guys think about what I have planned.
Here is a hint: Cryect has been working on NPC/Mob pathing. This will impact the "turning point" heavily.
Lol, I cant find the Readme.txt, doesnt seem to be in the Rar, so i dont know how to install this =\
I was really tired when I uploaded it, so it is possible that it is missing. It also shouldn't be a rar, but a zip file.
The folder that has the map in it (has terrain.png, terrain2.png, etc.) should be placed in the AdventureCraft maps folder. Are you struggling to install AdventureCraft or the map?

I guess both? im not really sure, All i did was Download the Zip and was lost from there because there was no Read me =P
Edit: wait a sec, i Just downloaded AdventureCraft, lemme try something here
Another Edit: Got it, Dont know How, But i Did haha xD
1. Ensure that you have an unmodified version of Minecraft. Do a fresh Minecraft install for version 1.6.6 if you are unsure.
2. Download AdventureCraft, which can be located at the thread I linked at the top of my response. You can choose to download a copy with maps. I would recommend doing this one, because it is easier to see what you are doing with it.
3. Extract the AdventureCraft folder to either your Desktop or a directory of your choice.
4. Open the AdventureCraft folder, and double click "Adventurecraft.exe".
5. It may take a minute for AdventureCraft to start for the first time. Once the window comes up, click on the "Install" box very first. Once installation is complete (a dialog box should appear) click on the "Update to r799" box (the version number may change, but update after you install).
6. Once AdventureCraft has been installed, a maps folder will have been created. Copy the folder labeled "The Legend of Zelda The Shadow Gate v.01.3" into your maps folder.
7. Start AdventureCraft, then click Singleplayer, then click Create New World, then my map should appear. Select my map, then click "done". You will then start the map :smile.gif:
To ensure that the proper folder is placed into your "Maps" folder for AdventureCraft, open the folder that you think contains the map and ensure that the "gui" folder, "terrain.png" and other similar files/folders are in it. The folder that contains these is the folder that should be copied and pasted into your maps folder.

Your awesome!

Bloody hell, I really wasn't expecting that. But, if you could, I'd be incredibly greatful. Honestly, I don't know what to say, so I'll put pictures instead:
