Do you know what would make this absolutely amazing????
A custom texture pack!
Sorry if I lead you on... I am entirely incapable of doing such a thing xD
Just an idea!
Thanks!
I thought about doing that for all of my prior maps, but it's a lot of work, because it will also entail changing blocks that are already in the maps.
That said, I may have to fix all of my maps with 1.8, and I have a small list of 'tweaks' for each map that I would someday consider putting in. So... I'll definitely keep this idea on the list of possible updates.
Sep. 14, 2011 - CURRENTLY UNDERGOING 1.8 updates. You can still download and play the 1.7.3 version, or check back this weekend for the improved version!

NOW MAKE A ALICE IS DEAD MAP,
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
God bless ye soul.
"Hark! Dost thou hear with thine ears what I hear with mine? Interloper! No quarter shall be shown hither, fiend! Anon! Show thyself, churl! Have at thee! *fires, misses, gets shot at* Fie upon thee! What-ho, the laser on mine rocket launcher be not a mere target, but a guidance system! Where art thou? Come hither, that I may smite thee! *shoots the Apache down* Thou shalt not be missed."
A small scene from this map has been reproduced in my submission to Paradise Decay's Youtube Project, and appears alongside other great scenes from Yogscast, Jesse Cox, The Minecraft Crew, and more to come!
In my humble opinion, this map is very much worth playing for someone of any level. "Peaceful" for those that just want the storyline, and "Easy - Hard" for those of you looking for action, because of this, I will provide two different "reviews"
Peaceful - On this mode you can concentrate on the storyline, but you definitely won't get bored. The scenery and layout, is amazing. It is not overdone, but simple, for the most part. But the feeling overall will leave you an awe. Falling down the rabbit hole from the start, is one of faith. If you truely look at your surroundings, you will see how well it has been done. The forest maze is one I still have to crack (yes, I cheated, mazes were never my forte!), each new scene is set out exactly to capture the emotions Alice would of felt. Challenges in the map range from easy to hard, giving that perfect combination so as not to frustrate the player, nor feel they can just speed through.
Easy/Normal/Hard - Honestly, I can say, if you want adventure, turn any one of these modes on. Even Easy is enough to make you sweat. There are hidden spawners placed nearly everywhere, and well, at White Rabbits house, I was trying to hit a skeleton behind the door, and ended up enraging the pigmen instead....that went down well. I have never seen so many pigmen in one place before. If you make it past the house, the forest is one of the best challenges to date, navigating a maze with Skeletons and Zombies popping out from behind every trunk is .... interesting indeed. If you are not one for storylines, but are all up for action/fighting, and want a good challenge, my suggestion would be to "cheat" a little, put it on "Hard" mode, and keep time (via Single Player commands) as night. I believe with this setting, you will have a very new appreciation of this map.
My Overall Opinion - It is a very fun and challenging map. Although I only skipped lightly through it, I can say I had a lot of fun. It has excellent replay value, my suggestion is to play on peaceful the first time through, then play on another difficulty (depending on your skill) for replay.
I plan to play this map TWO more times. Once on completely peaceful to fully appreciate my surroundings (and yes, probably go wondering off the paths!) and the next on "Easy" (yes, I'm a little Noob, don't judge me!) and battle it out with style.
Skins are included in the pack, and although I haven't tried the others (I think one is the Mad Hatter, and the other...white rabbit?) I can say the Alice skin is superbly well done. I am very, very picky when it comes to skins, yet Alice is flawless, and the skins just add to the gameplay. I also had a little noob moment where I added the skin to my default, so if anyone was on a server and saw Alice pop up....that was me
I recommend this game to all Skill levels and genre lovers!
Wow you are fast sir, yeah we are in the middle of an LP. Love this map a lot, its Syrene's favorite book / movie / story of all time! (Also you spelled my name wrong in your post LOL). We should be continuing that later today, still uploading the rest from last night! Thanks for watching, and I'm curious how you found that so quick!

Name fixed. Very sorry!
@Jigarbov and I were talking on Skype and he sent me your link.
Awesome! You and Jigarbov are amazing map creators, I'm planning on doing most / all your work, also did I attribute the work correctly? I have it on the video description. I think I did it right, but not 100% sure. I'm quite new to the legal stuff with youtube, but I'm trying my best =P. Also if you want to add this to your Video section that'd be sweet =). We should be recording more / the rest of this one tonight.

I'll gladly add your links. I've tweeted them too - hope that helps.
As to attribution, I don't really know all the ins and outs, I'm just glad you thought to put a link to my thread and include my name! :smile.gif:
Just finished up this LP, I have to say you've done a very good job here. The narration on the Queen is a TAD bit loud, but overall I give this a 5/5. So if you watch the last two videos, be prepared to lower the audio a bit in the narrations lol. Uploading them right now, they should be live over the next 8 hours... I have slow internet.

After several months, I still suck at leveling audio volume :wink.gif:
Thanks!

Great! Thank you for sharing.
I will probably revisit this one with 1.8 updates.

But she is the Queen of Hearts after all.
