Hey vechs, when you make a map in multiplayer, does the east-west and North-south measurement go in Chunks? If so, I'm creating a 500x500 chunk map. shiiiieeeet.
If you replace the stair block with a solid block, it will cut the circuit and set off the TNT.
Also, I don't see why Vechs doesn't use pressure plates anymore. Slimes only spawn at layer 16 and below, so if you make sure your trap is above that, it won't get set off. It's even easier if you try to make sure the ground level of all the areas in the map is at level 64, like in normal Minecraft. That way, very few places will even reach level 16 in the first place, let alone have a trap below that level.
Generally it was because his pressure plates set off TNT, which meant random explosions in the distance. The pressure plate can still get set off by other mobs.
And you have to remember that having lots of terrain all around 64 is kind of boring. Even normal Minecraft terrain has big hills.
Pressure plates are also very obvious and easy to see. Then again, so are giant pits of floating sand, or snow layer. Ah well, I guess there isn't really a perfect trap.
Er, quick question: Can pistons move dispensers? If they can, I could see a new trap available.
Person steps on pressure plate/get's too close to redstone hidden in wall;
Dispenser hidden behind a few blocks of bedrock so it can't be destroyed pops up;
Dispenser fires an item at victim;
Piston moves the dispenser back into the safe zone.
And to prevent players from just blocking it up, make it so that there are half-blocks there or other blocks that don't block fired arrows but prevent placing blocks.

Not they cant move items like chests and dispensers
Dang, now even Vechs is on twitter. All you young whipper snappers and your newfangled whatchamawhozits. In my day we communicated through carrier pigeons, and we liked it.
I like the Nightmare Realm (even though I always get no rewards, I'll try again today), and I was thinking of an idea for the 10th Super Hostile singleplayer map.
You start in a spaceship, and there are lots of pods nearby. The pods are dungeons containing valuable things. The valuables are needed to get deeper into to your spaceship. The pods contain lots of zombie, skeleton, spider and cave spider spawners. Deep inside the spaceship is the beginning of your wool collection. The Victory Monument will be in a distant pod.
I believe he already has an idea for #10 set, but it could be a nice idea for a map still.
Problem is, diamond and iron can be harvested by explosions. So, if you've got tnt or some creepers following you, you can harvest them already at the start, which makes the map tons easier.
Ah, yes, didn't think of that...

Super Hostile maps I've completed: Spellbound Caves (Yeah, I pretty much suck.)
Vechs saved a trap that Cilantro gamer made in which you have a giant pit of lava and there is a boat at the bottom of the lava. if you right click to place a block to cross the pit GUESS WHAT? You end up IN THE BOAT INTO THE FREAKING LAVA! WE ARE ALL DEAD!!! :mellow.gif:

Anyway, I'm currently working on a CTM map series myself! It has a little twist though. Instead of 1 huge area and 1 monument there are different levels and areas. I do have extra rules as of:
1: NO breaking iron doors
2: Don't bring wools for monument purposes into the next level.
So basically its going to start out REAL EASY with a tutorial also. Then, its going to get EXTREMELY hard! So I'm naming the series Eternal CTM because it should have ALOT of time to beat the map!
Also, how the level system works:
Since redstone goes through a block, when all wools are placed the iron door to the next level opens. I have a hidden redstone torch and repeaters like this:
There is no intersection 4 in Kaizo Caverns :smile.gif:
Intersection 3 is the end? I can find every missing thing there for the Monument right? I got almost everything done, just missing the Intersection 3 wools, and the metal blocks...

Yeah I'm pretty sure. Because the
Citadel of Demons is there which is the hardest area.

I have a BIG folder full of redo saves.
?
EDIT: I should've said, a typical thing for Vechs to say.

Dispenser fires an item at victim;
Piston moves the dispenser back into the safe zone.

WHAT?!
Danger zone.
You need to find a spot where it has enough room and light to grow.

So yeah, it's going to have ALOT of work.
