For those who are complaining about the annoyance of silverfish blocks, please go to youtube and look up Kaizo Mario. Everything about a "Kaizo" map is meant to be as annoying as hell. Blocks appear out of thin air to mess up your jumps. They aren't meant to be a fair challenge. They are meant to make you want to rage quit and pull out your hair. There are ways to deal with and/or avoid silverfish.
You see it as annoying and not a challenge, but the challenge is overcoming your own annoyance. The fun in these maps is persevering despite all of the unfairness and hair-pulling to finish the victory monument. I've had a greater sense of achievement in looking at wool blocks in a row in Vechs' maps, then in most other video games where I've saved the world/princess/etc.
You're kidding, right? Did you not read my post? The difficulty in Kaizo Caverns is not even comparable to the difficult it would need to be for something like retarded amounts of silverfish to add to the fun. For that it would have to be actually unfair, like you said. In its current state, it's not at all. I don't call making it to intersection 2 without a single death "crushingly unfair." More like "challenging." On crushingly unfair maps, the silverfish add to the crushing unfairness. In challenging maps, they're just an annoyance. Comparing Kaizo Mario to Kaizo Caverns is sort of like comparing Super Meat Boy to Mario Kart. They're both fun games, but you can't effectively compare the two, you can only really contrast them.

The problem with your argument is that Vechs himself says that his inspiration came from Kaizo Mario and Super Meat Boy.
For all you users complaining about the amount of silverfish in Kaizo Caverns 2.1:
Why don't you try map-making on Vech's caliber? After the first Kaizo was made, if Vechs were to replace stone around a certain part of the dungeon with silverfish, he would have to replace all of the stone, selecting all of the boundaries of the dungeon's furthermost points outwards, and adding some to that. Nobody is patient enough to only add silverfish around the couple blocks the dungeon is encased in. 600,000 silverfish in 5 chunks? You don't fight all of them. The silverfish are too annoying and obnoxious? Don't tunnel anymore, when I tunnel in Kaizo 2.0 I break the blocks with my sword, and use it to immediately kill the silverfish. It may be more time-consuming, but there are enchantments now. You can enchant diamond armor and get protection I on it and you would barely take damage. Did you know, you can get projectile protection II from a level 1 enchantment? The enchantments are overpowered and obnoxious, so now you can pretty much just run into a dungeon with enchanted things and not get hurt, lighting up everything along with it. What happened to strategic deungeoneering? Burrowing through the walls and not getting damaged? Silverfish? No, enchantments. If Vechs leaves you enchanted stuff, its because enchanting stuff and putting it in boxes is fun. If you've ever wondered why Vechs put the enchantment table in an early cavern, thats because he also put silverfish in early caverns. So it is to mainly balance it out. You can 1-hit kill silverfish with a stone sword of sharpness I.

Welcome to the new Kaizo Caverns! In this episode we take on Starlight Caverns, probably the last "easy" part of Kaizo Caverns. We find two wool pretty easily and aquire a source of wood and saplings. We find a secret to everybody and a chest full of my favorite things ever! Enjoy :smile.gif:
Subscribe for future videos, we are going for completion of all of Vechz evil maps!
The only way to 'deal' with them is to NOT think outside the box and stick to the programmed route like a moron robot. Anything else involves a tedious removal process.
So basically, you really don't know how to deal with silverfish.
If the extent of your innovation is to mindlessly tunnel then the problem isn't with the map.
You could add some wooden shovels with some enchantments, since they're the weakest tool for combat. They have durability, but you could add unbreaking for a rare alternative to the signs. Just a thought.

If at first you don't succeed, keep dying in fires until you do.
nearly done with Kaizo 2.1
the Ilvern mines are somewhat harder than before, but I don't complain :wink.gif:
(gold is the only thing I haven't got yet, no deaths so far)
imo the enchanted weapons are making it a bit too easy and I don't like the fact that you put the enchantments on placeable blocks...
I understand the reference to Zisteau, but I think it would be much better if they were on a record or something like that
great map though
What you've got is an epic enchanted piece of equipment with absolutely no durability. It has to have SOME drawbacks.

(I know that 7 and 8 are pretty solid feeling and 2 you're waiting for more aquatic content. and 7 and 8 are pretty up to date in general.
Edit:
At the moment I'm playing 5 ( Black Desert )Would love to see it "Updated".

I also have a bunch of mods here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/851974-
Well spoken sir! Well spoken!

Your schematics are great starting point for people just starting to use mcedit, and really expand what you think you can make in the game.
Keep up the great work!
Nope.
SMP removes the enchant.
Play single player.

Alright, I can forgive you for the silverfish now.
The feeling of punching a block in the Legacy of Contempt and then being eaten a million times is too great.
Deaths: ~20
Wool: 4
