Ive filmed a few parts now. and I have to say i am loving this. I found one of your dungeons (not sure nhow many there are) and it was really fun. It'll be on part 4/5 when I get to uploading those. probably just gonna upload one a day.
But yeah all the traps were fun.
Are you planning on doing other types like this? like a mountain one, forest one, etc? I realize this probably took forever to do, but this is great. I look forward to seeing more updated versions of this too.
click on it. then look for the .minecraft folder. inside that there should be a 'saves' folder. copy and paste the 'world5' folder from the download and put it into the minecraft saves folder.

Looking forward to it~!
In total for your version i believe there are 3 dungeons with traps ect, and countless other less structured caves I wouldn't really call a dungeon.
Making a new map sounds like a good idea to be honest, Hadn't thought of that somehow. Not to abandon this one but - I have learned a ton making this one, so starting new i'd probably make a much better map. (I'm also pretty sure it'll get boring see'ing sand after a while :tongue.gif: )
If I do make a new one, something Arctic themed sounds nice. (opinions on that / map themes?)
Thinking more about it I'd probably rather start new then new updates - The major dungeons and systems of this map can be ported over to a new one so its not a complete waste
I liked how you kind of had a backstory of the desert map. (broken houses, desolate, signs saying people left looking for food)
Would be cool to do something similar for the new one depending on what you choose. and the lack of tree's was a neat touch. so maybe a different resource that is very scarce? to add to the challenge.
I think I found a glitch. I was walking away from the waterfall from the house with a bed, then my guy froze and started shaking. I moved hime with MCedit but its the same. My other worlds work fine too!
EDIT: Moved hm with MC edit again and I'm fine! Also, Guy above continue your lets play please!

Let's suffice to say I don't think using frickin flint and steel is going to light moss on fire...

I'm having this same issue, it always happens if I head up the hill past the tree of life temple. For now I just avoid that area but I would love to explore past that.

I have an idea of what it might be, but - exactly how far did you travel away from the temple? (and in what direction, up the hill?)

hi, just publishing my vid of my first part, pretty neat, but i found ALOT of dirt, so u could try to make it less dirt, more cobble!
That's what was intended, but that glitched up a bit (the sand on the surface is actually dirt replaced with sand, but it didnt work for underground dirt). I know how to correct this and if I do a new one / update I'll see if I can get it to work
Anyway, been thinking about it. I think my next move is to transplant the best parts of this map onto a new one and make it much more awesome. I really have learned a lot making it and watching people play it - seems like the best idea to get a fresh start and correct some of the wider spread problems (like dirt being nearly everywhere underground). And surrounding dungeons with bedrock. That'd be smart.
Anyway - going to work on that once some of my mods recieve updates from new patch.
Eeh, I tried doing a Lets play on it Niicht... It says it's uploaded, but the processing says approx 210Minutes remaining, so if you can watch it. Cool! :biggrin.gif: if not, sorry it will be working in... a few hours. T_T Also, I may of ... "Cheated" a few of the traps, im not sure in what upload there in, I've filmed 3 parts, but only uploaded 1 though, so the other two may or may not be uploaded.
Edit: The video finally went up in about 2 minutes instead of 3 hours, cool... Then when I tried watching it, it had no sound. Great, I'll be checking my other 2 videos for sound, if not... Well, only 5 hours of my day uploading a video...
Very odd, especially because i've seen other people pass through there without any problems.
I'll look into it some more, but i'm not entirely sure what that is
I'm not sure what the problem is nor am I sure how to fix it. I'm making it low priority anyway, because:
In production: Survival Snow
Ahem...Pending a new name...
Anyway, its much more structured and improved in my opinion. Like I keep saying, i've learned a lot.
So far the map is covered in snow and ice. The underground is as survival sands was intended - not much dirt, no gravel at all. Even resources are more scarce via mining to encourage scavenging for materials rather then digging for them. Pretty much all useful resources are hand placed.
There were a lot of scenery buildings in survival sands - such as the obelisks, that had no entrances. Any landmark or monument on this map i'd like to have something the player can do at it as gravitating towards a monument and finding nothing there seemed disapointing.
Well, just wanting to point out the shakeglitchthingy works on mobs aswell, It scared the heck outa me, I saw two creepers furiously shaking there heads as if to say "Tuuuuuurn baaaaaack..." I walked towards them, and I joined there spazzyshakeclub
But yeah all the traps were fun.

a folder called 'Roaming' should come up.
click on it. then look for the .minecraft folder. inside that there should be a 'saves' folder. copy and paste the 'world5' folder from the download and put it into the minecraft saves folder.
hope that helps. :smile.gif:

its right behind the temple
I just added an update that MIGHT fix it, you can try that now and let me know if you can go there now (redownload, ect)
