At some point in time you should create "special" versions that incorporate mods in the maps design.
We'll see. For the moment, we are just going to concentrate on getting the original, non-modded version of the full map out. Adding mods would mean changing a fair few designs, _all_ of the items (....which is just a lot of work, we'll get there in the end though). So yeah, focusing on completion before modification.
I totaly understand. By the way are you gonna make a theme park island? That would be very cool. Abandoned broken amument parks are great for scary themes.

Currently, no. It sort of goes against the feel we have mapped out for the storyline, but we may throw in a nod or two towards something like that!
On a side note, exams have just finished (woo!), so I'll be able to churn out some more content! I've already planned out the designs of the next 2 islands, created a few small trial sections and I've bought and paid for a server to host what we are building 24/7, so either DrKrinkels or myself can work on furnishing at any time. We may try opening it up, but I can't guarantee itll stay up; depends on the amount of traffic, honesty, etc.

Yeah, you could throw in a local circus or fair on the side of s street, or maybe in a parking lot. Anyways, I'm still working on that cinema I can put up some pictures within the next week for you to critique.
Are you going to be utilizing the new things you can do in resource packs. For example are you going to make special sounds? Or animated jack-o-lantern tv's?

Im learning a bit of Java so as to make animated textures, so hopefully we will have a bit of that. Customs sounds aren't high on our list of priorities at the moment; we figured we'd focus on content first, then refine the quality through resource pack customisation. Both DrKrinkels and myself would have to learn to make various sound effects etc. We might be making custom music, but as I said, that'd be implemented later.

Yeah, some cooler zombie noises would be a nice effect. Maybe some less happy music, unless that's the feel you're going for.

I might be of some assistance if you need any help
Here are some quick pics of the cinema, waddaya think? Too small? Too big? Bad choice of materials? needs more trills on the outside? Let me know
Looks like it needs to be much longer, the seats seem very cramped together. If they were spread out or if their were more it would look better, be better for some bow combat, and might make a good base.

I thought it looked a little cramped in the sphere, but I was just gonna see what other people think. I'll make the entire thing bigger, it IS a little small.

I think maybe a little bigger/open plan - I'm honestly not 100% sure what malls are like in the US (if that's where you live, that is), but I'd imagine them to be pretty big, open-plan sort of buildings with tens - if not hundreds - of shops I think maybe add a couple of windows, we may edit it to make it more of a challenge, but I think it still looks good

Also totally the 1111th post.
O hai, I guess I do claim the 1111th post, didn't even notice Anyways, were you planning to put this in a mall? I kind of made this as a free-standing building, kind of like the cinema in Ontario Place. I could make accommodations though. I just need to know if this 1 room sphere theatre room is good, or if you prefer it like how it is here in Canada (about 13 theatre rooms lined up beside eachother.) It won't have the same dome look, but it'll be more modern.

Ah, sorry, don't even know where my brain was; thats a cinema, not a shopping mall (Sorry!). We may spruce it up a little and possibly add a bit on, but as a free-standing, standalone cinema its good
Wow, this is looking great. Can't wait for full release!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
"Strong Pokémon. Weak Pokémon. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled Trainers should try to win with the Pokémon they love best."

lol, no worries I thought you meant that this was going to be inside a mall, that's why I was wondering if you wanted a stand-alone or a cinema in the mall. Thanks for clearing that up
Just to clarify, are you okay with the size of everything (the dome, first floor etc.) and the choice of materials? Also, should I still add more windows as you suggested (Even though you thought it was a mall)?
In order to help you guys with submissions, I've made a few Tips that will help you use the Texture Pack to its best (I developed most of it, so explaining what bits of it are for might be useful to you). You don't need to stick to these all the time, but they will help you. Tip 1
Both the Pillars and the I-Beams are best used to generate interest and create support structures in your buildings, rather than walls. They create a sense of height and forest-ness if used correctly. Tip 2
These aren't hard and fast rules, rather a guide to help you design buildings. Experiment with your designs to find what suits best. Generally, horizontally based blocks work best at being horizontal (e.g. Sandstone Bricks in this picture, or Stone Slabs), being useful for platforms, flooring, balconies etc; Vertical based blocks are better at being vertical (e.g. Pillar Blocks, Vertical I-Beams), forming pillars and walls. Again, mess around with them to find what works best.
Well, pre-V, anyway.

You don't need to know Java to know how to make animated textures, you just need to know how to count from 1 to 16
