Have some blue prints of this skyscraper? :smile.gif:
its the Aegon Center in Louisville :smile.gif:
Yeah, I read that, but it would be allot of help if you had some minecraft-blueprint of it :wink.gif:
Naw, I do build it first in Paint but I discard of it when done (because i never really close it off, so no need to save).
What I do is just look at the windows as 1-2 blocks, and the seperation between them as 1-2 blocks, and go from there. If thats any help, and I use Google Earth to find the model, to see where the indents are, the corners, etc. And a LOT of pictures ... LOTS of pics lol..
So to answer your question no I don't have a Blueprint

Aww, well, I will download all your screenshot of the building and see if I can build something from them.
My strongest side in Minecraft is not building, but I started a project on a multiplayer server where I and some others are going to build The Pentagon in 1:1 scale. but now I'm stuck, not sure how to build the pentagon shape.
and there is where this building come in, I want to build this while I find a way to build it. Lets see if I get any result of your Aegon building :wink.gif:
And by the way, how tall is this building?

119 blocks high
What you could do is zoom in to max level in Paint, turn on the grid, and each pixel will represent a Block, and you can build the Angles and whatnot in paint. Its how I build my Rounded corners
Pentagon looks like a fun challenge, and can be done to scale due to it not being too high, when you guys begin send me some screenshots! If you build the Aegon, send me some screenies of your finished product!
Do you have a casino yet! You should construct the Lucky 38 from Fallout New Vegas, its retro, but has a modern fringe to it, and It is certainly one of the most unique casinos ever.
Someone has already started, but I think you can do better. MUCH MUCH BETTER! Its not bad, just doesn't have any of the originals curves, look up Lucky 38 if you need to see the original.

I've been working on a Minecraft web series for a little while, and I used an earlier version of the NewCraft City map to do a test show. This one got some good feedback from my friends, so I decided to put it on YouTube publicly. There's zero production value and it's kind of silly, but check it out!

Gave it a watch, that was halarious! Should keep it up.
The City scape itself isn't of any known area, its just the buildings that replicate some known buildings is all.
There is the:
Empire State building
Sears Tower
CN Tower - you got it right, lol
Hearst Tower
One New York plaza
One Financial Square
Citicorp Center
in version 2 so far there are
World Trade Center - The old ones
Aegon Tower from Louisville
the rest of the structures are there for filler, they're more accessible. Lol Bowsers castle
A Problem: I can't install this texture pack. Don't know how to install a jpg as a texture pack -.-'
Oh? The file should be a .png file, I just checked and it looks to be a .png
If for some reason yours is a .jpg, you can open it in paint.net and save as a .png file (don't open in Paint, it doesn't have the transparency option so all invisible areas turn to white O.o)
I didn't read EVERY post here but I'm curious to know your method. Your detail is awesome and your texture pack is very cool.
Are you making these in the game? or using some sort of game wrapper or something?
thx!
Hey, thanks :smile.gif:
Its a heavy mix of ingame building and using MCEdit - a map editing program. I build the structures and sections on the ground in the game, to get the detail in, after using a program like Paint or Paint.net to map out where to place the blocks. Then once that is done, I use MCedit to place the pieces together, flip them from being horizontal to vertical, etc. Once thats done I go back to ingame and edit pieces here and there, add some more detail, etc.
Pieces that are repetitive (window sections) I copy/paste to save a lot of time. As oppose to running 40 blocks back and forth going "window window block block window window" :tongue.gif:.
Holy balls. New neighborhood is awesome, we still need the run-down ghetto though, this will be cool with Humans+ since you will have the illusion of population, and even better on servers, enough housing for thousands of people, not to mention crackhouses where people sleep on the floor.
Thats what I think you need to focus on now, instead of the bright rich beautiful side, you need to add the real heart of a city.

Or possibly redownload and try again
I did make the Council House Perth from Australia, no pictures of her up yet but she is in the Lower District
I can't wait to check it out.

Also, I read the post about the various casinos, and would love to see not only what you can do with the architecture, but with the slot machines ^^
Good luck, and keep up the awesome work!

that's pretty much what I'm doing right now lol, walking in a rectangle for like 2-3 hours per building making a shell.
I've used mcedit on my map but not very often. mainly for a corrupt chunk I encountered and recently and to import a mall I built in another map.
Still, my work is nothing like yours lol. I'll definitely give it a look when I get home. This laptop can hardly play the game at all heh.
