I believe I came across a pre-triggered trap, it was connected to a big room and had lava flowing for each side with sand at the bottom. there was nothing on the other side. also, did you really think we would fall for the long hallway-illuminated gold block trap? nice try.
uh, also the room with the soul sand was pre-triggered. It might be some adjustments that make those rooms's sand update, or what? they might be that way on purpose, I dunno.
I need to know if MCPyramid 2 should require the use of a texture pack.
-If yes, I get many more trap ideas, the game is better, and the theme is great (MCPyramid 1 was built to not require the use of one, so the texture did not give too big of a theme to it). But I am worried that people won't use it and "break" the game
-If I shouldn't make it require a texture, it gives the player more freedom to use whatever texture they want, and don't need to go through the troubles of getting it to work
So here are my questions that must be answered:
Should I make it require a texture? And would you actually use it?
Summary: this is, simply put, the best custom map I have ever played. Everything was week placed, the difficulty perfectly scaled, and the **** moves fair. The amount of dedication war409 puts into this is astounding. I have no qualms with this map that war is not addressing in MCpyramid 2 . And, war, I have a fix for he pre-triggered traps bug: like in the pitfall down the first hallway and to the left, have the chests embedded in the wall.
War904 is it okay if I incorporate the texture pack into a similarly-themed map I am creating? I will give all texture and inspiration/guy I ripped idea off of in the first place credits. If I am violating any copyrights I may have missed in doing so, please inform me, as a good texture pack is basically crucial to the map. Thank you for your time, even if I am denied so hard it crashes my computer.
I feel like such an idiot now. I naively thought that the soulsand room's trap was that it prevented rapid escape. As I removed the soulsand, the real picture hit me just before I finished, sending me into a chasm of misery and woe.
Well done.

If at first you don't succeed, keep dying in fires until you do.
Huzzah! Map complete first try on hard with no deaths. Screw the "recommendations" I ran straight inside that crazy pyramid immediately with everything in the starting chest and didn't leave until I climbed the ladder in the treasure room. Every trap was set off but I was prepared (except one time near the start with that long lava trap. I didn't have enough blocks and ended up making a bridge of chests).
Scariest moment ever: one of those dispenser turret rooms that had triggered before I arrived (Endermen... inorite?). The redstone was still going so the dispenser was making a rapid clicking noise I had never heard before. Lets just say I heard the clicking before I saw its source and my immediate thought was to get the hell away from this "Time bomb" trap. Oh the lols when I figured out what it was.

Yea, you can use the texture pack for it.

Hey look buddy, I'm a builder. That means I build custom maps. Not maps like "Escapecraft 3", because that would fall within the purview of your idea of most puzzle maps. I build adventure maps. For instance, how am I going to allow some big old forum user to enjoy adventure to the fullest? The answer? Use a pyramid. And if that don't work, use more pyramid. Like this big, old, dusty pyramid designed by me. Built by me. And you'd best hope... being played by you.

Anyway that was an awesome 2-3 or so hours.
Yea, endermen are screwing everything up. It's annoying.

Really fun map, I think the endermen set off a bunch of traps though. I came through a few rooms that I think were triggered by them.

in multiplayer town servers i sell anything involving fire and bombs A.K.A T.N.T flint and steel lava ect. and i love mods so tell me of your mod and i will see if like it or not and if i do like it i will support it
Is there only ONE water source in the entire game? (the one from the beginning)
No, there if one at the end of the game in the tomb room. If you can find that one and you still have the one from the beginning, you can create an infinite water source.

After I make a small base, I leave all my items in the chest. Then, I run into the pyramid naked, disabling most of the traps. I'm happy now.
Thats a good tactic

Yes. Yes.
Too bad 1.6 broke TNT.
EDIT: okay, I did, and how the hell is Vechs more acclaimed than you?
Well done.
